00:00So the Lord, he was my refuge and my fort, beach house, my God, and I will trust, surely he shall deliver you from the spirit of the followers, he shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall take refuge, his truth shall be your shield and buckler.
00:18You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
00:30A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
00:36Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked, because you have made the Lord who is my refuge, even the most high, your dwelling place.
00:46No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near you, your dwelling.
00:50For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
00:55In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against the stone.
01:00You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample on your foot, because he has set his love upon me.
01:08Therefore I will deliver him.
01:10I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
01:13He shall call upon me, and I will answer him.
01:16I will be with him in trouble.
01:18I will deliver him and honor him.
01:20With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.

02:48My dear friend, Pastor Phil, is back in the house with us.
02:52And we were talking before we went on.
02:54It's been too long.
02:55Pastor Phil withdraws.
02:57Yeah, way too long, Dave.
02:58But you always look the same.
03:00You never age.
03:01You're a timeless human being.
03:02And that's what I love about you, man.
03:04And you've always got that great heart for God.
03:06So God bless everything you're doing.
03:08And look forward to seeing you out here with us in December.
03:11Exactly.
03:12We tell His Glory Nation about that.
03:14We're going to be coming to the Clay Clark event at your church.
03:18Yeah, December 4th and 5th, we'll have Eric Trump here.
03:21And it's going to be a great business conference.
03:24We're excited about it.
03:25And I know everyone is stoked on the Clay Clark side.
03:30I just talked to him this morning about it.
03:32Yeah, he was on yesterday with me.
03:33And he was talking about this going to be this great event in California.
03:36As I told you, I love going to California.
03:39California seems like a second or third home area for us.
03:42It's just the people of California are wonderful people.
03:46Yeah, they really are.
03:48And we especially love our politics and our governor.
03:51So it gives us more time to pray, right?
03:53Amen.
03:54You guys don't have to pray as much for your governor.
03:56We've got to pray a lot for our governor, all right?
03:59We've got to pray.
04:00I'm in Ohio and Texas, so we've got to pray for both of them.
04:04I forgot about the Ohio connection.
04:07Yeah, yeah.
04:08So the topic, we were talking about what's the topic going to be.
04:12And you and I both say we can talk about anything for any amount of time because you know a lot about everything in the world in the Bible.
04:22But you mentioned Nephilim, that's near and dear to me.
04:25Let's talk about Nephilim.
04:27Let's do it.
04:28So, you know, most people, when they want to study about end times, what they do is they go to the book of Revelation or maybe the book of Daniel, depending on how brave they are and jumping in and how experienced they are.
04:39But a few people really stop and think about what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24.
04:45He talked about, and I'm just going to read it, but of the day and the hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, but my father only.
04:53But as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the son of man.
04:58So what Jesus said was, if you want to start looking at this prophetic end time event, go back to Genesis chapter 9 and read what happened there.
05:10And so I want to get there, but I want to kind of stop, if I can, Dave, at Genesis chapter 3, because I think this is a really key component to understanding Nephilim.
05:21And this was, of course, you know, the fall of Adam and Eve, and it says in 15, and I, that is God, will put enmity between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed.
05:34He, speaking of Satan, shall bruise your head, and he shall bruise his heel, speaking of Jesus.
05:40So what we see here is we see a prophecy in chapter 3, not just of a coming Messiah, but also of a coming evil force in the world, a person born from evil seed.
05:53And if we begin to kind of look into that, we'll go to Genesis 6 now, verse 4, and it says,
05:58And there were giants on the earth in those days, and afterward, when the sons of God, that's referring to the angels, came into the daughters of men,
06:06those are human women, and they bore children to them, those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
06:15So all of a sudden, we look at Genesis, maybe a little bit different.
06:18We're not looking at just a sinful society.
06:20Indeed, it was that.
06:22But there's something that's happened, and an incursion has taken place of really cosmic proportions.
06:28And as we begin to follow this idea of the giants in Scripture, the Nephilim, I'm just going to take us to Numbers 11.33.
06:38It says,
06:38And there we saw giants, descendants of Anak, came from the giants, and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight.
06:45So were we in their sight.
06:48And then one more in Numbers.
06:50Numbers 13.32.33.
06:52And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land, which they had spied out, saying,
06:57The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants,
07:02and all the people whom we saw in it were men of great stature.
07:06There we saw the giants, the descendants of Anak, who came from the giants,
07:11and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.
07:15So we're seeing something happening here that most people, if they just do a cursory reading of the flood story,
07:24they miss out on what's really happening here, or they try to excuse away that this was just a godly seed
07:31and an ungodly seed that married, but it was far more than that, as we're going to see.
07:35Should I keep going, or should we take a break and comment?
07:38You want to comment here, Dave?
07:39Yeah, let's comment on there, because let's get your perspective on how the church had missed this.
07:45And we can talk about the Seth theory.
07:48You're familiar with the Seth theory, where it was, like you said, the seed, but it didn't talk about the Nephilim.
07:54I think, correct me if I'm wrong, about 46 times in the Bible it mentions Nephilim, Aname, or Anak, the long neck.
08:03These were real seeds of Satan.
08:05And once we understand that, when you read the Old Testament where the Lord says it destroyed all this evil,
08:11it puts in perspective.
08:12And I think if the church really knew what Nephilim really were, they'd have a whole different view of the god of the first covenant.
08:20Oh, exactly.
08:21And a lot of people think that God told Israel to wipe out every tribe and group of people in that promised land,
08:28but that was not the case.
08:29It was the Amalekites who were the descendants of the Nephilim or from the Anak.
08:35And so the reason it was so extensive from all the way down to animals was because they also practiced beastology.
08:43And so it's some people's contention that some of the DNA from the Nephilim were passed on to the animals on the ark.
08:51And this is how it resided back on planet Earth again after the destruction of the earth.
08:56So there's a lot of spinning plates in this story for sure.
09:00Well, when you start to see mythology of the Greeks and the Romans of the cultures, this is where that all came in.
09:06Half got the gods that were half human and half angels, gods, and then intersecting with animals too.
09:13So there's a history of this.
09:15There really is.
09:17And it really changes the perspective, like you said, on how you look through the lens of a biblical worldview.
09:25Because this is quite different than most people think.
09:28But I think most Christians miss it because they almost look at the Bible from 25 feet back.
09:35I got the basic stories, you know, Big Flood, David, Goliath, you know,
09:41but they don't dig in and go like, let me read a little bit further what's really happening in these stories.
09:46And I think if we do that, and if we preach that way, it helps people understand better a biblical worldview.
09:53So can you touch on the Seth theory?
09:55Why seminaries taught the Seth theory instead of the truth about the Nephilim?
10:03I think it's just too bizarre for them to go there.
10:06I think the same reason they don't teach miracles.
10:09You know, keep it nice and calm.
10:10Keep it Sunday school oriented.
10:12That's my opinion.
10:14If you look at any controversial scripture in Bible, and controversially I mean that people are debating it.
10:20They're wondering about it.
10:22Commentaries avoid them like a plague.
10:24And then they'll spend 20 pages talking about something that doesn't mean anything to anybody.
10:29But you really want to, if I pick up a commentary, I'm trying to learn.
10:34And I'm thinking somebody's got to know more than me, right?
10:36And I'm thinking there's a lot of people like that.
10:38Then I pick up a commentary and I go, well, this guy didn't even mention it.
10:42What is happening here?
10:44And it's so full of scripture.
10:47For example, like Deuteronomy 3.11.
10:48Here's another one.
10:49For only Og, king of Basham, remained of the remnant of the giants.
10:55Now think of that.
10:56This isn't Deuteronomy, okay?
10:57And Og, you know, we got Og, he's the original gangster, I guess, in culture back in those days.
11:03Yeah.
11:04But also the question is, often asked, is the God of the Old Testament different?
11:09And when he said to destroy the Amalekites, it was, as we said, because they were connected with the Nephilim and the Rephilim.
11:16And that's Deuteronomy 2.11.
11:17So Og, this king, was a remnant of Rephaim, and Basham was called the land of Rephaim.
11:25So we see that this is very well-seeded.
11:27Then we jump to Joshua.
11:28Let me just hit a couple of these and we'll pause again.
11:31Yeah.
11:31Joshua 11.22.
11:32The conquest to eliminate all the Anakim.
11:35Some remain, the Bible says, in Gaza.
11:38Sound familiar?
11:39Yes.
11:39We're still dealing with demonic forces in Gaza, right?
11:43In Gath, in Ashdod.
11:46We remember from 1 Samuel 17.4 that Goliath was from Gath.
11:52And then if we go to 1 Chronicles 20, verses 4 and 8, Goliath's brothers, right, they were all from the same neighborhood.
11:59And they had, believe it or not, six fingers, six toes.
12:03You know, when God wants to send a message, if you go back to the Goliath story, that was a cosmic battle of epic proportions.
12:10It wasn't just a little guy who beat up a big guy.
12:14This was, if you look at all the, count up all the numbers and everything else, you've got 666 all over Goliath, not to mention six fingers and six toes.
12:24God is trying to tell us something here.
12:26This is a type of Antichrist, and the ultimate battle would be between Jesus and Satan.
12:31And so it was really prefiguring or shadowing what was to come in this cosmic battle where there would be this battle that would take place between Satan and God.
12:45If we go down to the book of Jude, and this is where it gets fun for me.
12:49Well, we're going to be right back after this quick break, Pastor Phil.

15:19There's nothing else that matters in our life but going out and serve our King.
15:23It's just a couple days before he died.
15:25All right, we're back with Pastor Phil.
15:26We're talking about Jesus.
15:28All right, we're going to talk about the Nephilim.
15:32You're going to quote Enoch?
15:34Yeah, let's go to the book of Jude.
15:36Most people know where that is.
15:37There's only one chapter, but it is packed full of a lot of doctrine, a lot of deep teaching.
15:42It says in verse 6, the angels who did not keep their proper domain but left their own abode, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
15:54And then two of the most important words that you'll find in Scripture are the word as and the word like, because God is tying things together for you so you can understand.
16:05So then it goes on to say, as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality, and here's the key, and gone after strange flesh.
16:18All right?
16:19So something is happening here.
16:21It doesn't tell us what all is happening yet.
16:23And it says, are set forth an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
16:28All right?
16:28Now, one more Jude passage here.
16:30In Jude, verse 14 and 15, it says, now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, behold, the Lord comes with 10,000 of his saints to execute judgment on all, convict all who are ungodly among them all on their ungodly deeds, which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things these ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16:55And that would, of course, be prefiguring the coming judgment at the flood.
16:59So we see Enoch is identified as a prophet.
17:02He's talking about this going after strange flesh.
17:06He's tying Sodom and Gomorrah in.
17:08So Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't just about a wicked city.
17:12There could have been this interaction further that we read about.
17:17But I think it kind of pulls together in my mind, Dave, and I know this is not news to you,
17:22because you probably know twice as much about the subject as I do.
17:26But in Enoch 1.9, it says, and behold, he comes with 10,000 of his holy ones.
17:33Now, this sounds like Jude, doesn't it?
17:35To execute judgment upon all and to destroy all the ungodly and to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness, which they have ungodly committed,
17:44and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
17:50All right.
17:51Now, 1 Peter 1.
17:52Having been born again, not of corruptible seed.
17:55So you can be born of corruptible seed or incorruptible seed, right?
17:58Through the word of God, which lives and abides forever.
18:012 Peter 2.
18:02For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down into hell and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved for judgment,
18:11and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one out of eight, of course, eight's a number of new beginning,
18:17a preacher of righteousness bringing the flood on the world to the ungodly.
18:22All right.
18:22So we're kind of setting the stage.
18:24The centerpiece we started with was what Jesus said, as it was in the days of Noah.
18:30So what we want to do is kind of, you know, center our study around that and try to keep going back to that as many times as we can,
18:39even though we might be tempted to jump to the book of Revelation or Daniel or some other prophetic passage in the word of God.
18:46And this way you kind of get that.
18:48You can kind of draw all the meat out of the subject you can.
18:51Now, in the book of Enoch, a couple of more passages in chapter six, verses one and two.
18:56It came to pass when the children of men had multiplied in those days were born of them, beautiful and comely daughters.
19:02And the angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after them and said to one another, come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men.
19:13All right.
19:13So here we see what's happening.
19:16It's now it's explaining Genesis chapter six.
19:19And then we go to Enoch six, six, and they were all in all 200 who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon.
19:30And they called it Mount Hermon because they had sworn.
19:34So where did this happen?
19:35Well, they came down to Mount Hermon.
19:38And this is where this this evil deed was done.
19:41And we're going to see here in a in a in a minute or two.
19:45What does Jesus do?
19:46He takes the disciples, says, hey, we're going to we're going to go up here to Caesarea Philippi.
19:50We're going to go visit the gates of hell.
19:53Gates of hell's where the base of Mount Hermon.
19:55Yeah.
19:56What's he doing?
19:57They're going, why are we going there?
19:59Right.
19:59You can almost hear these guys grumbling.
20:01Right.
20:01We're going where?
20:02Why are we going there?
20:04And and there is this tunnel that supposedly leads into the abyss that was thought to be the very gate of hell.
20:10So Jesus is saying, listen, it was on this mountain, Mount Hermon, that Satan did his worst deed.
20:17He corrupted the image of God and started transhumanism kind of in the in the topic today.
20:23That's another thing we have.
20:24We could tie into the Genesis flood story, because this is transhumanism.
20:30And so it's going to be here.
20:31It's going to be here that I want you to understand that not even the worst that Satan can do will ever prevail against the church.
20:39And it's such a beautiful tie into the story.
20:43One more passage, and then I want to turn you loose to help me understand all this and put all the pieces together.
20:49Chapter 15.
20:50Now, the giants who were produced from the spirits and flesh shall be called evil spirits upon the earth and on the earth shall be their dwelling.
21:00Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies because they were born from men and from the holy watchers is their beginning and primal origin.
21:10And they shall be evil spirits on the earth and the evil spirits shall they be called as for the spirits of heaven in heaven shall be their dwelling.
21:17But as for the spirits of earth shall be born upon the earth and on the earth shall be their dwelling and the spirits of the giants.
21:24There it is.
21:25Afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle and work destruction on the earth and cause trouble.
21:32They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst and cause offenses.
21:37And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against women because they have proceeded from them.
21:44All right.
21:45Now, tie all that together for me, Dave.
21:48Again, I want to ask you this question.
21:50Why Enoch is not canon only in what the what is it?
21:56One canon it's still in.
21:58But why do you think it's connected to Seth theory and Enoch not having that?
22:02Because once you read the book of Enoch, it puts all those pieces together for you.
22:07Get a view of it really does.
22:09I mean, apart from it, you you can you can get there apart from Enoch, but it's much harder.
22:15Yeah.
22:15And it doesn't have the detail.
22:17And there is a lot of detail here.
22:19And, you know, when you look at how books were selected and why they were selected, you know, it it had to be historically correct.
22:28It had to be received by the apostles.
22:30It had to be, you know, circulated among the church.
22:33And, you know, there are a lot of criteria that that sought to ensure authenticity.
22:40But a book like this one, you know, miss that that boat.
22:45And sometimes they missed it because historically there were inaccuracies or they didn't know how to put the pieces together.
22:51I know that you and I both believe in progressive revelation, not only on a global scale, but on an individual scale.
22:57And we got to go back.
22:59I mean, if you go back 2000 years, what did they have to process information with?
23:04How much did they understand and see and know even know what they were doing?
23:09I mean, when you read in Peter, it says even angels look and are baffled at redemption in Christ.
23:15So I think we have to also realize where where that was and what was God doing in the preservation process.
23:23You know, a lot of people talk about the inspiration of the Bible, but there's also the preservation of the text.
23:29You know, and that's Psalm chapter 12, verses six and seven.
23:32And, you know, it talks about how he will preserve the words.
23:36All right.
23:37And so the words we want to have preserved and God was overseeing that whole process.
23:43So I have to ultimately default to God and God.
23:46I'm not sure why this is what you wanted.
23:49I'm not sure why John wrote in the last chapter there, you know, of all the deeds of Jesus, it would fill the whole earth.
23:55I'd like to have some more of those.
23:56You know, John, why why did you stop short?
23:58I don't know.
24:00So I'm sure as a pastor, you get this question a lot.
24:03I get this question a lot.
24:04This ties into our conversation.
24:05Where did demons come from?
24:08You just said it.
24:10Yeah.
24:10I mean, we just read about it.
24:12Obviously, when you there's a there's a missing section and we should come back and do this sometime.
24:17I believe there's a gap of time between Genesis one, one and one, two, because you don't have an account for angelic creation.
24:25Yeah.
24:26But you do have a darkness coming upon the earth.
24:29And I believe it's over in Isaiah 45.
24:31He said, when God created the earth, he did not create it void and without form.
24:36And they uses the word there in the Hebrew.
24:38It became it became void and without form.
24:41So what does God say there?
24:42He says, you know, there's darkness on the face of the deep.
24:45He said, let there be light.
24:46This was the intrinsic light of God, whereas there is no shadow of turning.
24:50And he he forced light into darkness.
24:53And we know it's not the sun, the moon, or the stars, because those aren't created until Genesis one 14.
24:58And so this is a different kind of light.
25:01And and we see also that great commission given to Adam is also given to to Noah, for example, and some Hebrew scholars.
25:13And I'm one of the non scholars who happen to believe that it says that they were to replenish the earth, that there was something happening on planet Earth that had to be redone.
25:23And so when we tie some of those pieces together, it becomes it makes my Bible really simple to understand, because now I've got I can explain Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28 about Satan being in Eden.
25:36He's on Earth.
25:37He's got a throne.
25:38He says, I'm going to send above the clouds and I will make my seat in the assembly of the of the of the far north.
25:45Now it makes sense.
25:46But you've got it.
25:47You've got this weird thing that happens.
25:49All of a sudden, Satan shows up in the garden and you go like, where'd this guy come from?
25:54You know, and most Christians don't even ask.
25:55He just go.
25:56He's there, you know, and all of a sudden there's a new sheriff in town named Adam, and he's got control of planet Earth and been given dominion over everything.
26:03And so what does Satan do?
26:04He says, I got it.
26:05I got to stir things up.
26:06So I'm going to start over here and and convince you that God hasn't really spoken.
26:10And God is a cosmic killjoy.
26:13And when you see and understand what we're talking about, the biblical worldview comes into place.
26:19We're talking about literally light versus dark today.
26:22Yep.
26:23Yep.
26:23Yep.
26:24And, you know, Caesarea Philippi was called Panius.
26:27It was where the worship of Pan.
26:29You've heard of Peter Pan.
26:30All right.
26:30This is all tied back to that and the temple of Zeus, which was considered the gateway to the underworld.
26:37So there you have it.
26:39Pastor Phil, we got to go deeper on this.
26:40This was a lot of fun.
