As many as eight Aston Villa players could be out of contract by the end of next season, with the club working diligently to secure key figures for the long term.

Over the summer, Villa tied down Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings, and Lucas Digne to new deals, with Digne the last player to sign an extension approved by Monchi before Roberto Olabe took over as sporting director. Before that trio, Lamare Bogarde signed fresh terms in April, following Morgan Rogers’ renewal five months earlier.
