The US president says he will consider relocating World Cup matches from Boston, citing public safety concerns
Transcript
00:00They have several World Cup games.
00:02Could those games move to cities that do work with you, Mike?
00:04We could. We could take them away.
00:06I love the people of Boston.
00:07I know the games are sold out.
00:09But your mayor is not good.
00:11They're all worse than her.
00:13At least she's intelligent.
00:15No, I think she is hurting Boston.
00:19The answer is yes.
00:20If somebody is doing a bad job,
00:22and if I feel there's unsafe conditions,
00:25I would call Johnny, the head of FIFA, who's phenomenal,
00:28and I would say, let's move it to another location.
00:31And he would do that.
00:32He wouldn't love to do it, but he'd do it.
00:35Very easily, he'd do it.
00:36And this is the right time to do it.
00:38If I thought Boston was doing something
00:40that was going to be — cause safety conditions
00:43for the, you know, World Cup,
00:47I could say the same thing for the Olympics.
00:49Because, you know, we have events that are in different locations
00:51for the Olympics. It's based in L.A.
00:54If I thought L.A. was not going to be prepared properly,
00:57I would move it to another location.
00:59Boston better clean up their act, that's all I can say.
