SpaceX just completed the 11th and final test flight of its current Starship model — and it’s a major leap toward launching humans to the Moon and eventually Mars :rocket:

The test saw Starship lift off from Texas, separate from its Super Heavy booster, and complete a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean :water_wave:
Now, SpaceX is gearing up to launch an upgraded Starship designed for deep space travel :sparkles:

With NASA’s Artemis mission on the horizon, this could be the rocket that takes humans back to the Moon for the first time in over 50 years :full_moon:
The space race just got a whole lot more real

00:00SpaceX just pulled off something massive,
00:02and it's the final step before the rocket that could take us to Mars takes flight.
00:07On Monday evening in Texas,
00:09Elon Musk's Starship roared into the sky for its 11th test flight.
00:13But this wasn't just another launch.
00:15This marks the last test of the current model
00:17before SpaceX begins flying a new upgraded version of Starship,
00:22one that's designed for deep space missions to the Moon and even Mars,
00:26just after 6.25 p.m. local time.
00:28The super-heavy booster lifted Starship to the edge of space.
00:32Seven minutes later,
00:34the booster performed a controlled splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico.
00:38Then the upper stage continued its journey
00:40before landing in the Indian Ocean as planned.
00:43NASA's acting chief called it
00:44another major step toward landing Americans on the Moon's south pole.
00:49The next Starship prototype comes with major upgrades
00:51and could be the very rocket that lands humans on the Moon
00:54under NASA's Artemis program.
00:56But there's still one big hurdle.
00:59SpaceX needs to master in-orbit refueling
01:01before that dream becomes reality.
01:04One thing's clear.
01:05The countdown to Mars has officially begun.
01:07And then the other plan is about the first time.
01:21What is the impact on nuclei?
01:21As I say,
01:23I imagine how to make it work for the last year.
