For the first time ever, scientists photographed a baby planet forming inside a gap of a dusty ring around its star — a setup straight out of a sci-fi movie. The young world, nicknamed WISPIT 2b, is nestled inside a ring-shaped clearing around the star WISPIT 2, located about 437 light-years away.
