Le WorldTour s'apprète à refermer ses portes sur cette saison 2025 une nouvelle fois riche en émotions. Mais avant cela, rendez-vous en Chine pour y disputer la dernière course WorldTour de la saison, le Tour de Guangxi. L'étape inaugurale a donc été disputée ce mardi matin avec un parcours destiné aux sprinteurs mais comportant tout de même de nombreuses difficultés susceptibles de faire exploser les moins bons grimpeurs de ce peloton. Finalement, les ascensions n'auront pas été si difficiles pour les gros gabarits qui étaient au complet pour se disputer la victoire à Fangchenggang. A l'arrivée, au milieu de Fernando Gaviria (Movistar Team), Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious), Marijn Van den Berg ou autre Jordi Meeus (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), c'est l'inévitable Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step) qui s'est imposé, dans un sprint marqué par la grosse chute survenue à 400 m de la ligne.
