03:45by embracing this foundational truth in today's teaching we unlock deeper revelations and live

04:13of glory that he may grant you a spirit grant you a spirit excuse me a spirit of wisdom and revelation
04:25of insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of him by having the eyes
04:36of our hearts flooded with light so that you can know and understand the hope to which he has called
04:47you and how rich is his glorious inheritance in the saints his set apart ones and so that you can know
04:57and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his power
05:06in and for us who believe as demonstrated in the working of his mighty strength amen now take this example
05:18in this verse basically let me give you example just to put into context in our uh in our time
05:30context i guess uh relatable to our lives you can be super rich with millions in your in in your bank
05:40accounts but until you learn to use your bank card or learn to use your internet banking however way you
05:47you you do your banking it's dead money it's useless to us right you can be rich but until you learn to use
05:56your card to get the cash out until you learn to use the internet banking whatever way you use
06:01it's useless so likewise the word of god has been made available to us for more than just perceiving
06:10but to bring understanding that is very different now i know life has become very active intentionally
06:21very active they made it so uh it's become as we say many of us very busy it's almost impossible to navigate
06:32and many of us have demoted ourselves if we're truly sincere to being just content with just perceiving
06:42rather than understanding you see the problem with this is that perception does have its benefits but it's not the fullness
06:53of what god intends to produce in and through us therefore it is incomplete on its own
07:02most people make decisions nowadays in life through perception which is in very very dangerous
07:09based on what they experienced heard of grew up with the effects of our culture environment financial status
07:17education and so on however as christians we are taught through the word of god
07:23through the various examples life examples in the word of god
07:28to live life through god's word which brings forth life
07:35life to walk after the spirit rather than after the flesh
07:42now perceive perceive perceive means merely to notice or to see and to acknowledge or recognize
07:54you see no understanding is fully implied let me say that again because we need to understand the difference
08:01the contrast here perceive means merely to notice to see and to acknowledge or recognize

08:11understanding means to comprehend to know to discern to clearly understand the meaning
08:23the specifics and the importance of something you perceive
08:28do you see the difference here you may read the word or listen or to the word of god
08:35and perceive the application but understanding unveils revelation promising results activating transformation
08:47into manifestation in the lives of all believers let me say that again because we need to understand this
08:54you may read you may read excuse me the word or even listen to the word of god and perceive the application but understanding

09:16amen now how wonderful is it that we have been anointed as the word of god says equipped and activated to move
09:28forward to grow from glory to glory in life by the word of god and the indwelling holy spirit

09:57let's begin our study again let's look this time at isaiah 11 isaiah 11 verses 1
10:07to 3 isaiah 11 verses 1 to 3 and i'm reading from the amplified classic
10:12and there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of jesse david's father and a branch out of his roots
10:21shall grow and bear fruit and the spirit of the lord shall rest upon him the spirit of wisdom and

10:32the spirit of counsel and might the spirit of knowledge and of reverential and obedient fear of the lord
10:43and shall make him of quick understanding and his delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear
10:53of the lord and he shall not judge by sight of his eyes neither decide by the hearing of his ears

12:09i assure you most solemnly i tell you if anyone steadfastly believes in me
12:16this was jesus speaking he will himself be able to do the things that i do
12:22and he will do even greater things than these because i go
12:28to the father wow
12:30now think about it
12:34if jesus himself needed the spirit of understanding
12:38to do what the father called him to do
12:43how important do you think it is for us to walk in the spirit of understanding

12:51absolutely if we are to fulfill
12:54what he called us to fulfill to truly live
