00:00This video is a beautiful video.
00:02Just tell me which way you want to do it.
00:04There.
00:06This edge.
00:08There.
00:10There.
00:12There.
00:14There.
00:16There.
00:18There.
00:20There.
00:22There.
00:24There.
00:26There.
00:28There.
00:29There.
00:38Oh, but look at this place.
00:40It's extraordinary.
00:43Beautiful.
00:44I got a chance to perform here one year ago.
00:47More or less one year ago.
00:49I fell in love with the place.
00:51It's a beautiful opera house.
00:53It's a national theater.
00:55I was the first artist at that time performing rock.
00:58In this venue.
01:00It's wonderful.
01:04I mean, now to come back.
01:06To return with this DVD release.
01:09People were very excited about it.
01:11It's not the capital of a country.
01:14So an international artist is performing in other city than Buenos Aires.
01:19and doing a recording like this, people get very anxious about it.
01:24Buenos Aires, you love, Dadia.
01:26Buenos Aires, who love Dadia?
01:27Buenos Aires!
01:28Buenos Aires!
01:29Go with Buenos Aires!
01:31Go suggestion we love, Dario!
01:34this.
01:35also this place represents my music better.
01:38This also, this place, represents my music better.
01:43I feel that it's way better here than in a rock hall or in an ice hall or in a colder sort of place.
01:52This gives the warmness into it, into my music.
01:57I love it. Beautiful. It's a living, breathing art piece.
02:01I heard that they were going to tear it down. I think that's a shame, but I think they're going to save the theater now.
02:07I mean, I took pictures of the ceiling and stuff. It's just beautiful. Really, really. You don't play in places. This is not a bar.
02:13I used to play in bars when I was younger, okay? This is not a bar. This is a theater.
02:18The history lives in these places. It's really amazing. And also what I've seen from my fans, that they really do appreciate the fact that they come to see a performance like this in a theater.
02:34Maybe many of them are coming to see a place like this, feel the place like this for the first time ever in their life.
02:41I know that because I've been talking with my fans. So it's special.
02:46What are you doing?
02:47What are you doing?
02:48What are you doing?
02:49What are you doing?
02:50What are you doing?
02:51What are you doing?
02:52What are you doing?
02:53What are you doing?
02:54Of course, I was hoping that everything would go fine in the end and I would be healthy still after seeing so many shows in these last couple of months.
03:06After being in a completely different environment, in cold places, in warm places and countries. It's been tough. It's been really demanding for me.
03:18The tour was amazing because we started in, where did we start? We started in Czechoslovakia and we went to the...
03:24The Czech Republic.
03:25The Czech Republic, I'm sorry.
03:27It's a history lesson.
03:29Exactly, history lesson.
03:30We went to Russia and it was freezing cold. We went to Costa Rica and we spent a couple of days on the beach. And now we're here. And it's gorgeous. Killer tour.
03:39But I'm still holding up and I was so happy to see that I'm still strong and going on and everybody in the band is still kicking and you know, we have the positive energy around and that is, that makes me so happy to see that not only the whole fact of the production and the recording, but the fact that we rock, we still rock.
04:09I still get tears in my eyes when I think about it. It was really emotional. It has happened to me a couple of times in my performances before, but it's somehow, you know, I feel the home because Argentina is my new home and how people have received me so well.
04:35They don't treat me like a foreigner at all. And this is very special to feel that it's my new place. It's my new home. And what I felt last night was really the love, the passion, the really the care of the people.
04:55They were amazing. They were amazing. They were really so beautiful. So yeah, it gets emotional at times.
05:06They were amazing.
05:15On this tour, there were a couple of nightmare situations when I got really seriously sick and it's a nightmare for a singer because mainly because of the fact that I need to keep on doing what I do.
05:32And who knows my instrument better than myself is no one else. I mean, I know when there is the certain edge that I need to go through it, but I just can't deliver anymore.
05:44People might not even hear the difference, but the feeling that I have myself, it's like, it's a lot more work than I need to do. So yeah, that is a kind of a nightmare for me to think that I don't have a voice to speak, but I have to perform tonight.
05:59There were a couple of those.
06:08The fact is that in my music, what people hear the most, it's immediately, it's my voice. There are no tricks. It's the hard work you do every day. You train. I train every day.
06:24Not on off days when I'm on tour. I keep quiet, more or less quiet. I do not even dare to. Maybe I do breathing exercises. If I feel very tired, sometimes you get so tired that you need to start waking up your muscles again.
06:39But training, training, training, training, training, listening, listening, feeling, feeling, all that goes along with the many, many years of practice that I've done.
06:52And wearing warm clothes, eating well, trying not to be in too much around with smoking people. I mean, all these kind of things that is, yeah, it's not very rock and roll life I can live with the voice I have.
07:11Okay, I'm going back to my room now. Oh, he filmed that. Normally, I just do that in my room. No, you don't. Yes, I do. Waiters, my banana. Tommy, bring me my banana.
07:30Ho, ho, ho.
07:46Yeah, there are girls even that they have the same exact same dresses done tailored done for them. And it's crazy sometimes to see this happening.
07:57happening but you know how happy it makes me it makes me so so happy because i've met many girls
08:06that they have seen me as an idol sort of it's scary for me to say it out loud but
08:14the many girls that they came to tell me oh well i started singing because of you now i
08:19have my own band it's been great we've been performing in many festivals already it's great
08:24um i don't even i i don't even think of that in a way that i think how many years i've been in this
08:33business oh god i'm getting old no but it's a good thing in a way that there have been so magnificent
08:40moments in my career and i've been so damn lucky i know i am the phantom of the upper eyes here
08:50don't steal my part no sorry okay good him good him phantom of the opera yes i'm very honored to uh
08:57to play a sing with her and and the guys and the guys um it's as i said before it's a dream come true
09:08for me a humble argentinian singer you know and sing with taria and and all the guys in this place
09:17um being part of this amazing amazing um group of people um i'm very very happy to be a part of it
09:35there were girls at the time there were but not with the voice i had it was something
09:42pretty different like what's this a girl singing with operatic vocals with in a metal band it was
09:50different and because of that fact i've been asked many times that well who is your idol who you have
09:57been following and i said i don't have any well i love i adore peter gabriel but it has nothing to do
10:05with my vocals or why i sing like this or who i followed and got attached to it no so it's been a
10:15in a way it's been a lonely road but i always followed my heart and i kept on learning more lyrical
10:23singing because then it made me sing better rock
10:36i wake up very late if we are touring in europe i usually wake up very late like midday
10:45in a bus where i sleep very badly during the night when the bus is moving i i'm
10:51i don't sleep very deep so i sleep when the bus stops in the morning six o'clock and i then then i
10:58get some sleep eventually i hear all the rest of the guys snoring yes it's uh it's not fun but uh
11:08then after that i have some breakfast maybe go for jogging if there is a chance a nice park around
11:14and then waiting waiting is the word for being on tour you wait for everything you wait first the
11:26sound check then you wait for the dinner then you wait for the show and i start getting ready for the
11:31show after the dinner you know around six o'clock i start depends on what time the show is but
11:37part of my preparation is getting to the beauty box getting to them getting to prepare my makeup and
11:45warm up my voice and that i need some time and privacy for that
12:07wow i said thank god i'm at home i say it out loud
12:37uh if i think now i haven't been seriously at home in five months so i am really looking forward
12:45to that moment when i really can say wow i'm at home and in my piece of heaven in my small paradise and
12:55the thing is that i am a crazy in a way that i i probably take the vacuum cleaner first thing
13:02at first no before the vacuum cleaner i put the espresso machine on and push the button i miss my coffee maker
13:15but rest of it is cleaning making the house clean being relaxed yeah when i'm at home then again two weeks
13:23then i start feeling like
13:28what should we do now no but it's not that bad it comes and goes because i really enjoy being at home
13:36so much it's it's really the time when you can really think of yourself again what you want from
13:42your life what who you are what do you feel you know take care of yourself you know all these kind of normal
13:51things to really my my being at home means singing rehearsing a lot
14:02really taking care of me and my body and my soul and and that is where you do that best you can't do
14:08that on a tour then you are working it's a different environment around you but no you really can't
14:16get used to it in a way you i'm very used to pack my bags very fast you should see that
14:22very fast it doesn't take me too long but other than that it's always you always get homesick in one
14:28point oh yeah costa rica on the beach i'll second costa rica on the beach cheers
14:51you should have seen all the five pieces of luggage i'm carrying along on this tour with me
14:57there are lots of dresses and lots of
15:03lots of stuff that i unfortunately need to carry with me so yeah i do envy the guys sometimes they
15:10don't have too many things to carry along i need to have my promotional clothes i need to have my
15:15performing clothes i need to have my regular you know clothes where i wear every day being comfortable
15:23on tour traveling is not easy i have to consider also the climate changes in every country
15:33like we were in russia it was very cold then we went to portugal it was really nice
15:38already plus 15 so everything you have to be fully prepared that you don't get cold or
15:45so yeah sometimes this gets hard with the luggages i i hate airports
16:00it's not a band in a way that you it's not sort of democracy here you know because these guys as
16:10tough as it sounds they are working for me so in a way it doesn't create that kind of tension
16:17that hey we should do this or that i need this or that it doesn't you know it doesn't go into that
16:25they are enjoying their time off they are enjoying the performance we are enjoying the whole
16:31situation by being here on tour it's a dream to play with these guys they are amazing guys you know
16:52we're blessed to be able to come here and play play good music in our lives be able to be around friends
16:57and family and to be able to come to such a beautiful country as argentina and share the love
17:03with all the beautiful people here remember life is beautiful and enjoy i think also the fact that
17:10i know i'm providing them the best i can and i really try my very very best every day to make them
17:19feel good so i i hope they know this i hope they feel this let me tell you all of you
17:26great all good it's fun alex too very nice great venue good show very good everybody respects each
17:45other in this group of people i've been very lucky to find these guys
17:57there are many songs that i love to perform depends on the story of the of the song depends on the
18:07of the moment if i think back
18:10why i wrote wrote this song or with who i wrote this song or what is the reason behind there are
18:17several songs that it's very hard for me to separate them the importance
18:22i love songs like underneath for example is a song that makes me fly every time i sing the song
18:31it's very tough demanding vocally it's it's very hard for me but when i sing the song i feel it
18:39i fly it's great to get that because people i i really feel their energy and that's the power you know
18:49i fly with their wings yeah it's nice
18:59i haven't performed in africa that is a continent that i haven't been performing yet
19:05and it would be a pleasure one day hopefully hold on all the rest are done
19:11i haven't been performing in china i would love to go there one day
19:21yeah and of course they have their countries many countries that i haven't been in but but
19:28um africa would be really lovely
19:46so
19:58very different songs from each other in a way that into the sun is very positive in a in its message
20:16it's about you believing in your dreams and going forward and seeking for better
20:23always something better perhaps you're in a bad relationship or something not forgetting what you
20:29are and never enough is a very kind of negative song in a way
20:38i wrote it about people having very short memory
20:44we tend to have a very short memory in a way that
20:47um it only needs one negative thing that happens you remember that all the time every day of your
20:55life but you don't remember all the positive things that are happening every day around you
21:00and that's the sadness of it of us in general
21:04but they they these cool they are great songs to perform live and that's what i
21:10kind of that was the reason i chose them
21:17that's what i wanted to do
21:26classical and rock
21:28metal i i have
21:31i i really found a perfect spot for myself and for my music because i feel that they are in a
21:37perfect combination equilibrio both of them with the classical elements that i have the beautiful
21:43orchestras my voice the cello i always want to bring them along have space for them in my music
21:51production wise on the other hand the punchiness of a guitar and the heaviness of the sound of it
21:58the music the music i need that to give me the energy so i think i'm in a very good balance and i do not want to
22:09make radical changes for for the future there will be always some changes but not radical
22:15and for me you know it's never been a struggle for me to be in sort of between of these two worlds
22:23i've always as i said before i've always followed my heart and i i feel that this is what i want to
22:30do this is what i love to do and this is what i feel that my fans today they really
22:37they really feel the same because they are coming to see me performing classical music
22:42they are willing me to come to perform in their countries because they mostly the classical
22:48performances that i've done so far mainly they've been in finland in some other countries also but
22:54mainly in finland so many fans have been traveling all over the world to see these concerts so there
23:00is this kind of a beautiful demand from my fans for me to come to perform them pure classical music
23:07so my fans are they are wide wide open-minded people
23:37so this question is very tough because uh i receive presents daily from my fans and i i i needed to
23:57buy another luggage for for just to carry you carry the presents back home from this tour also
24:03so but the sweetest what i remember now the sweetest as a girl i must tell you that i got a teddy
24:11bear huge one as big as me it was from peru and it i was carrying that huge teddy bear with me
24:23in the plane it had his own seat next to me
24:26and everybody was laughing the whole crew was taking pictures of it and it was really nice i mean
24:35fans please do not give me that kind of presence because it's quite tough to carry along
24:40on a long tours no but it was very sweet
24:43you know sometimes people tend to forget that there is a person behind the artist and
25:04and uh i give everything for my fans when i am performing but when i'm off the stage i'm just a
25:13normal person i'm a person not an artist anymore it's it's over of course there are several occasions
25:23that i meet my fans and it's a sort of thing that i i live with the fact that there are people around
25:32they recognize me fine but when it crosses my red line is the red line of my privacy in a way that
25:43i'm a married person
25:47very happy happily married when it comes a person that can't see beyond the artist
25:57then it's a red line crossed in a way that it enters my privacy and hurts my privacy
26:09there have been a couple of occasions like that
26:19i really i really hope you enjoy what you see and you hear
26:23i mean it was such a special event for me to to plan this this concert and it was a lot of work
26:33lots of lots of work i hope that everybody all over the world wherever you get this dvd in your hand
26:39you can see that how good time we had on that one night in rosario in argentina with the people
26:45you and now get the fuck out of here
