05:24I think it was so nice.
05:26Please.
05:26Thank you very much,
05:29my dear President Trump,
05:34my dear brother President Fadil Sisi of Egypt,
05:42Majesty's Highnesses.
05:44Okay, that was President Trump
05:51at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
05:55He thanked everybody for the participation,
05:58the role that they played,
05:59but more importantly,
06:01the role that President Trump has played,
06:03a very critical one.
06:05And it is a moment of celebration,
06:07but also tears and reuniting with friends and relatives
06:10that we were talking about.
06:11Let's go across and look at how the people in Israel
06:16celebrated this uniting of families.
06:25A moment unfathomable,
06:28a wait that has finally come to an end.
06:34Israel celebrated the release of its 20 living hostages
06:38from the clutches of Hamas.
06:40This coincided with the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump,
06:51who made a historic visit to the Holy City of Jerusalem
06:54during his second term in office.
07:00As it was an emotional moment for the Israelis,
07:03so was it for the Palestinians,
07:05who were released from the Israeli prisons.
07:07Israel released 250 Palestinians
07:11and 1,700 others detained in Gaza during the war.
07:22As borders on both sides
07:24welcomed the homecoming of their dear ones,
07:26Donald Trump, the man of the hour,
07:29was honoured with Trump chants
07:30and a standing ovation at the Israeli parliament,
07:33the Kinesit.
07:34What the world needs now are more leaders
07:55who are brave, resolute, strong and bold.
07:59The world needs more Trumps.
08:06Trump, who was touted by many world leaders
08:09for this year's Nobel Peace Prize
08:11for ushering in peace for the Israel-Gaza conflict,
08:14was nominated by Israeli parliament speaker
08:16Amir Ohana for next year's Nobel Peace Prize.
08:20Israeli President Isaac Herzog
08:22announced the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor for Trump.
08:28I hereby announce
08:30that together with our good friend,
08:33Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson,
08:35we will rally speakers and presidents of parliaments
08:39from around the world
08:40to submit your candidacy
08:43for the Nobel Peace Prize next year.
08:47There is no one more deserving
08:49than you, President Trump.
08:52No one.
08:55Trump was praised for his exemplary role
08:57in bringing an end to the hostage crisis
09:00and was rightly described
09:01for fulfilling a Jewish saying
09:03from the Talmud, which says,
09:05and I quote,
09:06whoever saves one life
09:08is as if he has saved the entire world.
09:11Unquote.
09:11Donald Trump is the greatest friend
09:18that the state of Israel
09:19has ever had in the White House.
09:22No American president
09:24has ever done more for Israel.
09:27We have paid,
09:28we have paid a high price for this war.
09:31But our enemies now understand
09:34just how powerful
09:36and just how determined Israel is.
09:39They understand that attacking Israel
09:42on October 7th
09:44was a catastrophic mistake.
09:48Netanyahu, who praised Trump's efforts
09:50for disabling Iran
09:52from building nuclear weapons
09:53and initiating the Abraham Accords,
09:56said he was committed to peace
09:57in the region.
10:01Mr. President,
10:03you are committed to this peace.
10:06I am committed to this peace.
10:08The coming years
10:09will hopefully be a time for peace.
10:14Peace inside Israel
10:16and peace outside Israel.
10:21It is now my distinct honor
10:23to invite the President
10:24of the United States of America,
10:27His Excellency,
10:29Donald J. Trump.
10:31As Trump walked up to the podium,
10:33chants of Trump echoes
10:35across the kinesit.
10:36Trump applauded the efforts
10:38of Steve Whitcoff
10:39and Jared Kushner
10:40for making the 20-point peace deal happen.
10:43Most importantly with Steve,
10:49he's just a great guy.
10:52Everybody loved him.
10:53Everybody loves Steve
10:55and they respect him
10:56and they somehow can relate to him.
10:59Very special thanks to someone
11:00who truly loves Israel.
11:03Jared has been so helpful.
11:06He really did something very special.
11:13Trump also praised
11:14Israeli Prime Minister
11:16Benjamin Netanyahu
11:17for agreeing to the 20-point peace plan.
11:22And he is not easy,
11:24I want to tell you.
11:25He's not the easiest guy to deal with.
11:29But that's what makes him great.
11:31Thank you very much, baby.
11:33Great job.
11:34Trump also rubbished allegations
11:39of waging wars.
11:41In fact, he added
11:42the Israel-Hamas ceasefire
11:43to his war accolades,
11:45calling it his eighth victory
11:46in ending wars across the globe.
11:50But a moment of rejoice
11:51and tears on the return
11:52of the hostages
11:53was turned into laughter
11:55when Trump shared light moments
11:57about Netanyahu
11:58and Yad Lapid's speeches.
11:59As soon as I'm finished,
12:03I'm quite late.
12:04You've kept me quite late
12:05between opposition leaders
12:06and Bibi's brilliant
12:08but very long speech.
12:12I thought I was going to run up here,
12:14make a speech,
12:14and then head to Egypt.
12:17It didn't work out, though.
12:18And you made a pretty long one, too, sir.
12:20Thank you, sir.
12:50as the U.S. president
12:51who brought peace to the world.
12:54Mahasweta Lala,
12:55Bureau Report, India Today.
12:56And joining me
13:11from Tel Aviv, Israel
13:12is Tal Ben-Droor.
13:15She is a survivor
13:16of the NOAA Music Festival.
13:18Tal, if you could first
13:19just begin with your experience,
13:21what had happened,
13:23what's your memory,
13:24and then we'll talk
13:26about the hostage release.
13:30Well, first of all,
13:31thank you very much.
13:33Well, on October 7th,
13:34I was at the festival
13:35with another 14 friends.
13:38Some of us came
13:39with a shuttle
13:40and others by car.
13:42I came with a shuttle.
13:446.29, everything started.
13:46We started the missile attack
13:48and then we went
13:49to the minibus,
13:50but then we started
13:52hearing gunfire
13:53stronger and stronger.
13:55So we went off the shuttle
13:57and we suddenly saw
13:58a girl
13:59wounded with
14:00three shots
14:01in her leg.
14:02From this moment,
14:04we started running
14:04and we escaped running
14:06for three hours.
14:07We ran to the east
14:09and we saw
14:12many things
14:12along the way
14:13until other people
14:16found us
14:17in the middle of nowhere.
14:18They were producers
14:19of another festival
14:21and they came
14:22for setting up
14:22their event
14:23that should have been
14:24in November
14:24and they heard
14:27what happened
14:27and drove closer
14:28with their cars
14:29to rescue people
14:29and they took us
14:31to a farm
14:32named Tal Or
14:33where we stayed
14:34for about seven hours
14:35waiting for someone
14:37to rescue us
14:38but no one came.
14:41Eventually,
14:41we got off
14:42the farm
14:43and got back home
14:44independently
14:45with the cars
14:46of the producers
14:47of the Midburn Festival
14:48and I arrived
14:49to the center of Israel
14:51after 13 hours.
14:54Not everyone
14:55got back
14:56and fortunately,
14:58my friend
14:59Sharona Shmoni Sarel
15:00was murdered
15:01in a death ambulance.
15:04She was in an ambulance
15:05with
15:06there were 18 people
15:07there
15:08and the Hamas
15:09shot an RPG
15:10so
15:11that's the way
15:14we found out
15:15after nine days
15:16and also
15:17our driver
15:18Suhaye
15:18Abu Amar Ramzan
15:20he was our driver
15:22and the terrorists
15:23took him
15:24and forced him
15:25to translate
15:26between them
15:26and the hostages
15:27in Be'eri
15:28after that
15:30they murdered him.
15:32Right,
15:33right,
15:33Tal,
15:33now how are you
15:34looking at the release
15:35of the hostages?
15:36it's a big day
15:3720 of them
15:38have been released
15:39massive achievement.
15:41How are you
15:42looking at this
15:43this moment now?
15:44well,
15:49there's a lot of excitement
15:50and happiness
15:51in the air.
15:52Many people
15:53waited for this
15:54moment for so long
15:55for so long
15:56it felt like a dream
15:57that could never
15:58come true
15:58and here
15:59now it happens.
16:01Everyone is getting
16:02back home now.
16:04Besides the happiness
16:05of the hostages
16:07that are alive
16:08we have also
16:09the grief
16:09of the ones
16:10that are not
16:11with us anymore.
16:11for me
16:14there's a complex
16:14of emotions
16:15it's very complicated
16:16because also
16:17I'm truly happy
16:18and truly excited
16:19for them
16:20and I cry tears
16:21of happiness
16:21today
16:22but in the same breath
16:24I must say
16:25we are handling
16:26a lot
16:27at the moment
16:28the novice survivors
16:29unfortunately
16:31a novice survivor
16:32killed himself
16:33this Friday
16:36he burned himself
16:38in the car
16:38he couldn't
16:39stay in the pain
16:40anymore
16:40so today
16:42was his funeral
16:43you can only
16:45imagine what
16:45it's for us
16:46to fill all
16:47this complex
16:48of emotions
16:48all together
16:49because for us
16:50the war is still
16:51getting on
16:52we're still
16:53having triggers
16:54from all the
16:55things that are
16:55related to
16:56October 7th
16:57and people
16:58need support
16:59and right now
17:01I really hope
17:01that after the
17:02war is gone
17:03they will have
17:04the strength
17:05and the support
17:06that they need
17:07all the
17:09hostages
17:09that got back
17:10and all the
17:10survivors
17:11right
17:12Tal
17:13you're talking
17:14about the
17:14survivors
17:15novice survivors
17:15have had a
17:16traumatic experience
17:17like you just
17:18spelled out
17:19some not being
17:20able to take
17:21it anymore
17:21and giving up
17:22on their own
17:23lives
17:23how many
17:24are you
17:24working with
17:25very closely
17:26in terms of
17:27the kind of
17:27trauma that you
17:28see in
17:29not just the
17:30survivors
17:30but also those
17:31who have been
17:32released
17:32in the past
17:34I know
17:36we're having
17:37like dozens
17:39of novice
17:40survivors
17:40and really
17:42the situation
17:43is like
17:44they're like
17:44ticking bombs
17:45if you know
17:46what I mean
17:46so I know
17:49everyone needs
17:50that support
17:50and people
17:51need to be
17:52seen
17:52also the
17:53bereaved
17:53families
17:54also the
17:55hostages
17:55now we can
17:58finally breathe
17:59when the
17:59hostages are
18:00back
18:00but still
18:01we know
18:01that there
18:02are many
18:02terrorists
18:03that are
18:04released
18:04on the
18:05same
18:05breath
18:05so
18:06as I
18:07said
18:07it's
18:08very
18:08complicated
18:09but I'm
18:10focusing
18:10today
18:11on being
18:12happy
18:13and
18:14really
18:14emotional
18:16because
18:17I waited
18:18for this
18:19moment
18:19for so
18:19long
18:20completely
18:21understand
18:22Dal just
18:23stay on
18:23with us
18:23we're also
18:24being joined
18:24by a
18:25security
18:25expert
18:26a security
18:26affairs
18:27expert
18:27Rohan
18:28Gunaratne
18:28Rohan
18:29you've
18:30been
18:31tracking
18:31following
18:32situations
18:33very
18:34very
18:34closely
18:35you're
18:35looking
18:36at a
18:36peace
18:36deal
18:37where
18:37Netanyahu
18:38is missing
18:38as also
18:39the
18:39Hamas
18:40where do
18:40you see
18:41this headed
18:41what we
18:45have seen
18:46is there
18:46are three
18:47phases to
18:48this peace
18:48plan
18:49the first
18:50phase is
18:51the release
18:52of the
18:52hostages
18:53and of course
18:55the release
18:56of the

19:05and the
19:06other threat
19:06groups
19:07have refused
19:08to disarm
19:09so the
19:10second
19:10phase
19:11is going
19:12to be
19:12the toughest
19:13phase
19:13the third
19:14phase is
19:15a demilitarization
19:16of the
19:17Gaza Strip
19:18certainly
19:20the first
19:20phase has
19:21been very
19:22successful
19:23as President
19:24Trump
19:25was able
19:26to convince
19:28the Arab
19:29leaders
19:30and also
19:31the leader
19:32of Turkey
19:32to exercise
19:33pressure
19:34on Hamas
19:36and its
19:36allies
19:37to release
19:38the hostages
19:39so the
19:40next phase
19:41will be a
19:42challenge
19:43that phase
19:44of course
19:46they will
19:46have to
19:47bring Hamas
19:48and its
19:49allies
19:49and Netanyahu
19:50on the
19:52same
19:52platform
19:53so that
19:54there will
19:55be
19:55progress
19:56this is
19:57the very
19:57first
19:58step
19:59in a
20:00prolonged
20:01and a
20:02protracted
20:03peace
20:03process
20:04for those
20:06following
20:07not just
20:08the developments
20:09but the
20:09history
20:09also very
20:10closely
20:10also
20:12accord
20:12we thought
20:13is going
20:13to be a
20:14big deal
20:14but it
20:15failed
20:15it failed
20:16to bring
20:16lasting
20:17peace
20:17over here
20:18with
20:19the Hamas
20:20now saying
20:21that they
20:21do not
20:21trust
20:22Israel
20:22will not
20:23disarm
20:23completely
20:24unless and
20:24they see
20:25some forward
20:26movement
20:26the question
20:28and controversy
20:29over bodies
20:30of Israeli
20:31hostages
20:31being handed
20:32over or not
20:33which Donald
20:33Trump himself
20:34explained
20:35could take
20:36time
20:36in such a
20:37scenario
20:37do you see
20:38a situation
20:40where there
20:41could be
20:41violation
20:42of ceasefire
20:43yes
20:44yes there
20:45can be
20:45and that
20:46is why
20:46it is so
20:47important
20:48for all
20:49the actors
20:50to be
20:51very patient
20:51and to
20:52ensure that
20:53there is
20:54no disruption
20:55of course
20:56the key
20:57player here
20:58is Donald
20:59Trump
20:59because he
21:00was able
21:01to exercise
21:02his influence
21:04on Turkey
21:06on Qatar
21:07and Egypt
21:08to get
21:08Hamas
21:09and its
21:10allies
21:11to release
21:12the hostages
21:13this would
21:14have been
21:14unthinkable
21:15at one
21:16point
21:16so the
21:18next phase
21:18is the
21:19greatest
21:20challenge
21:20and that
21:21is where
21:22anything can
21:22go wrong
21:23but today's
21:24meeting in
21:25Shamashik
21:26where 20
21:27world leaders
21:28attended
21:29I believe
21:30I believe
21:30that there
21:31is hope
21:32because
21:33President Trump
21:34will get
21:35those countries
21:36at least
21:36some of
21:37them to
21:37commit
21:38troops
21:38to create
21:39an international
21:40stabilization
21:41force
21:41and also
21:43some countries
21:44will provide
21:44economic
21:45assistance
21:46to rebuild
21:47Gaza
21:48but what
21:50is central
21:50is disarmament
21:52of
21:52Hamas
21:53Hamas is a
21:54very deadly
21:55a very
21:56dangerous
21:57terrorist
21:58organization
21:59like
21:59Al-Qaeda
22:00and like
22:01ISIS
22:01it has
22:02committed
22:03very serious
22:04atrocities
22:05so there
22:07must be
22:07significant
22:08monitoring
22:09and significant
22:10pressure
22:11to ensure
22:12that Hamas
22:13evolves
22:14into
22:15an entity
22:16that doesn't
22:17conduct
22:18these attacks
22:18right
22:19Rohan
22:20the summit
22:21is underway
22:22right now
22:22we'll have
22:23to wait
22:23and see
22:24how that
22:24really pans
22:25out
22:25and what
22:25President
22:26Trump
22:26has to
22:26say
22:27in
22:27substance
22:28right now
22:28he's just
22:29thanking
22:29all those
22:30stakeholders
22:30but for
22:31now I'll
22:32have to
22:32thank you
22:33and Tal
22:34for joining
22:34me here
22:35on the
22:35network
22:36news and
22:37updates

22:38other side
