Hello everyone and welcome. In this movie from 1964 called Sound of Horror or as I like to call it, The Invisible Man's pet lizard escapes. Our story starts out in the lovely Greek countryside, where archaeologist Dr. Asilov and his friend Professor Andre decide to dynamite a mountain side looking for treasure. Instead they find what looks like petrified dinosaur eggs. What kind of dinosaur, who knows. I never seen a dinosaur like this, wink wink. Anywho, our two friends go home to Prof. Andre's house, where his niece Maria and housekeeper Calliope live and tell them what happen. Calliope is livid and warns them of tales of the mountains. They brush off her superstitions. Prof. Andre has other plans for he just so happens to have an ancient map or at least one half of it. His business partner has the other half and is on his way with it and his girlfriend Sofia, his driver and an associate named Stravos. After they arrive the search begins. What they hope to find is gold but what they actually find are dead bodies and a creature that is not only hard to believe but hard to see. Staring in this, where does Calliope keep the flour we have James Philbrook as Dr. Asilov, Antonio Casas as Prof. Andre, Lola Gaos as Calliope, Soledad Miranda as Maria, José Bódalo as Mr. Dorman, Arturo Fernández as Pete, even Ingrid Pitt as Sofia Minelli and Francisco Piquer as Stravos. So let's drink some Screaming Lizard shots and try to enjoy. Also thanks so much for watching.

00:02:27THE END
00:02:57Oh, Uncle Andre, I'm scared of explosions.
00:03:13You get used to them, Maria.
00:03:15All cave explorers get used to them after a while.
00:03:27Maria, you'd better become accustomed to this smoke as well.
00:03:31It's the most uncomfortable part of these explosions.
00:03:34Try to be patient with her, Stravos.
00:03:35She's only an amateur and a woman.
00:03:57There's nothing there.
00:04:05Wait a minute.
00:04:06What's this, Professor Andre?
00:04:23It seems like a stone egg to me.
00:04:37Of what?
00:04:38No idea.
00:04:42I believe only the covering is petrified.
00:04:45Well, perhaps my map has brought us to something, at least.
00:04:49I'll make a thorough examination of this when we're back at the house.
00:04:53I doubt that there's very much a petrified egg can tell us.
00:04:56Come, Uncle, let's go back to the house.
00:04:58It's getting late.
00:04:59Come, Uncle, let's go back to the house.
00:05:29Let's go back to the house.
00:05:59Look what we just found in the cave.
00:06:05Look out.
00:06:06It could be cursed.
00:06:07Do you think there could be some ancient recipe for making a stew out of this?
00:06:12Some teaser, Stravos.
00:06:14She doesn't appreciate jokes like that.
00:06:16Stravos isn't joking.
00:06:18There could be a recipe.
00:06:21I'll have nothing to do with anything in that cave.
00:06:23As far as I'm concerned.
00:06:25If the devil comes out of that cave, we'll invite him to the house.
00:06:28But not until we've eaten.
00:06:29I'm dying of hunger.
00:06:30Don't pay any attention to them, Calliope.
00:06:32The only way to stop their nonsense is to put some food in front of them.
00:06:35Calliope, he always predicts I'll meet with disaster, but I think that brings me good luck.
00:06:45I think she's fattening us up, so we'll be well-fed sacrifices for the spirits of the cave.
00:07:03With this talk, I'm glad I'm not superstitious.
00:07:05Out of the kitchen now.
00:07:08In here, you're the amateur.
00:07:09Well, I certainly hope that you're not planning to serve us petrified egg.
00:07:26I know that what you're doing in the cave is none of my business, but...
00:07:30Stop worrying, Calliope.
00:07:31I'll protect you if there's any trouble.
00:07:32I'm glad to hear that, but I'll be in danger till I'm far away from here.
00:07:36Well, we're not going to leave yet.
00:07:39There's more to explore.
00:07:48Tell me, are you sure about the matter?
00:07:50The treasure's in that cave.
00:07:53Somewhere.
00:07:55It's got to be.
00:08:02The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:03The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:04The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:05The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:06The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:07The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:08The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:09The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:10The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:11The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:12The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:13The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:14The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:15The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:16The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:17The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:18The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:19The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:20The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:21The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:22The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:23The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:24The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:25The treasure's in that cave.
00:08:26The End
00:08:56Nothing but rock
00:09:16Uncle, look
00:09:26The End
00:09:56It looks almost alive
00:10:04It's been excellently preserved
00:10:07It's like the mummified young girl's body that was discovered in Italy nearly 18 years ago
00:10:14Homo sapien Neanderthal
00:10:18I'm sure of it
00:10:20This will cause quite a stir in the world of anthropologists
00:10:22When they learn about it
00:10:25Cleope and the others could be right, it occurs to me
00:10:28That means this mountain
00:10:31Has been the ancient burial ground for a race of men
00:10:34The Greek peasants here are much too superstitious
00:10:37Oh, but an archaeologist like yourself
00:10:39Cannot allow superstition to block the way of progress
00:10:42Unearthing ancient history, I consider progress
00:10:45It helps to recreate the past
00:10:47Yeah
00:10:48The past
00:10:50The golden past of ancient Greece
00:10:53But the gold I'm searching for is not in legends
00:10:56The gold I want is hidden somewhere in this cave here
00:10:59You mustn't be discouraged, Uncle Andre
00:11:02You'll find it
00:11:03I'll continue to try, Maria
00:11:05I don't care how long it may take
00:11:06How many excavations
00:11:08I know the treasure will be mine
00:11:09Even if you find nothing else
00:11:11Nothing at all, Professor Andre
00:11:14This mummified body
00:11:18Is treasure enough
00:11:20I'd much prefer to come upon the treasure I've sought so long
00:11:22To me, that's all that matters
00:11:24But maybe you can't understand that
00:11:35You seem upset about the mummy, Calliope
00:11:42I know it's a sign
00:11:44A bad sign
00:11:45I'm Greek too, Calliope
00:11:47And I do believe in our ancient gods and customs of the past
00:11:51To a point, that is
00:11:53You can't to a point
00:11:54They're real or they're not
00:11:56You found that thing there
00:11:57And then that
00:11:59I'm sure that they're bad signs
00:12:01You're too superstitious, Calliope
00:12:03You're too superstitious, Calliope
00:12:33Hello, Andre
00:12:37It's been a long time
00:12:39Much too long
00:12:40Yes, it's been years
00:12:43And I always knew that I would see you both again someday
00:12:45Now it looks as if we'll be together for a while
00:12:48The young lady is Sophia Minnelli
00:12:50And that's Pete, our driver and guide
00:12:52Who found you for us
00:12:54Meet my assistant Stravos
00:12:56My niece, Maria
00:12:58And my housekeeper, Calliope
00:13:00And my girlfriend is female
00:13:02And that's what they'd say
00:13:05And that's what Charles
00:13:25only the young can be so frivolous they've got the time it's good to see
00:13:49young people happy like that we were at war when we were that young and we
00:13:54enjoyed that excitement we three spent our youth dancing to bullets the way they
00:13:59dance to music Tormund that's an amusing comparison
00:14:11oh come on Maria I hear you've been practicing a Greek dance
00:14:24I don't know
00:14:31I don't know
00:14:33I don't know
00:14:36I don't know
00:15:47Andre.
00:15:49The other half of the map.
00:15:53How'd you manage to get it?
00:15:57Graco had it when I found it.
00:15:59He wouldn't sell it.
00:16:01Not for any price, but Sophia got it.
00:16:03She's a persuasive girl.
00:16:07There he goes.
00:16:09Very good.
00:16:17There.
00:16:19The pieces are together.
00:16:21And obviously you've been digging in the wrong place, Andre.
00:16:25So that's where it is, eh?
00:16:27How many men have died trying to get this map?
00:16:29I think Krakow is number 15.
00:16:31And now three of us remain.
00:16:33With the whole map finally between us.
00:16:35The treasure worth several million dollars.
00:16:37If the map is authentic.
00:16:39It'd better be real.
00:16:41The best years of my life are gone.
00:16:43Forever and for this.
00:16:45And all that's left is my share.
00:16:47Our share, you mean?
00:16:49Sure.
00:16:51Your share, my share, and dormant's.
00:16:53A third priest, man, you think?
00:16:55Half the map is mine.
00:16:57And that's how much I'm gonna get.
00:16:59I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:01Remember when we started on this mad hunt?
00:17:03We were three-way partners.
00:17:05The year split us up in wild goose chases.
00:17:07No.
00:17:09One-third each.
00:17:11And dormant and I will take care of Sophia and Pete.
00:17:13After all, the help was for me.
00:17:15I'm sorry.
00:17:16I'm sorry.
00:17:17I'm sorry.
00:17:18I'm sorry.
00:17:19I'm sorry.
00:17:20I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:21I'm sorry.
00:17:22I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:23I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:24I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:26I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:27I'm sorry.
00:17:28I'm sorry, Andre.
00:17:29I'm sorry.
00:17:30After all, he helped us find you.
00:17:37Very well.
00:17:38And out of my part of it, I'll take care of Maria and Stravas.
00:17:41Now we're equal partners again.
00:17:44It's fair, Andre.
00:17:46I trust that the treasure will be all that we've hoped.
00:17:49A beautiful villain.
00:17:51Fine clothes and limousines.
00:17:54Yes, riches.
00:17:56It'll be good.
00:17:57It can be.
00:17:59Though I'll be a fatalist about it.
00:18:11The mummy dates back to the siege of Troy.
00:18:13Very interesting.
00:18:14The past doesn't matter.
00:18:16The present will be the past.
00:18:18It reminds me of an old girlfriend of mine.
00:18:21Let's begin to dig.
00:18:22Yes, might as well.
00:18:23We're going to go in further.
00:18:24Oceloff and Dorman think the treasure is behind the second area.
00:18:29They might be right.
00:18:30The professor and I have searched all of the passageways.
00:18:33The only treasure in this whole cave is right there.
00:18:34I hope that you're wrong about it, Stravas.
00:18:35I'll see you later.
00:18:36I think I'll remain here, keeping an eye on that.
00:18:37Oh, this place is so chilly and damp.
00:18:38I'm going sunbathing.
00:18:39Coming, Maria?
00:18:40Can't mean.
00:18:41Wait a minute.
00:18:42Mind if I don't go with you?
00:18:43No.
00:18:44Have a good time.
00:18:45Go on, Maria.
00:18:46Go on, Maria.
00:18:53Come on, Laura.
00:18:54Go on.
00:18:55We'll go.
00:18:56We'll run now.
00:18:57Oh, really?
00:18:58Oh, you're going to be the main here.
00:18:59Keeping an eye on that.
00:19:00Oh.
00:19:01This place is so chilly and damp.
00:19:02I'm going sunbathing.
00:19:03Coming, Maria?
00:19:04Can't mean.
00:19:07Wait a minute.
00:19:08Mind if I don't go with you?
00:19:09No.
00:19:10Have a good time.
00:19:11Go on, Maria.
00:19:16Oh
00:19:46Oh
00:20:09It's right in here it has to be here only about 30 yards away
00:20:14If I'd known that I could have saved myself a lot of wasted effort
00:20:19One of the most important rules of hunting for hidden treasure one must never proceed with only half a man. All right, let's get on with it
00:20:29Use your pick I
00:20:33Could use a tail of water why don't you both sit over there?
00:20:44I
00:20:58Here's your water. Thank you
00:21:03I see you're not interested in staying with them in the cave
00:21:06No, not at all. I get paid only to drive them up here and then back to Athens. This is my interest my boy
00:21:12Stay away from there
00:21:14It's full of evil spirits
00:21:23She keeps saying things like that it frightens me
00:21:27That cave there may be full of evil spirits, but I hope it's also full of gold coin
00:21:33This reminds me of hunting for the Golden Fleece
00:21:37All that us you love knew was that it was a cave within a hundred miles of Athens no more than that
00:21:43And I'm sure you know what that means Maria with this country so full of mountains
00:21:48But I'm lucky I stopped to give a cigarette to a shepherd told us someone was up here digging who knows
00:21:54Where we would have been by now, but we finally made it as for the mommy and for the treasure
00:22:00Seeing is believing you did pete. That's why you came with us
00:22:04Yeah, look I rented you my car as well as myself as I sell off said it could be as many as 30 days more or less
00:22:12it could be three months and
00:22:14That means that could mean a lot of money in three months
00:22:18Oh about 30,000 drachmas for the period and that means I could buy another car
00:22:26That's what I want
00:22:28Hmm. I might make even more money than that
00:22:31Let me remember exactly
00:22:33They said that if I found the cave that I did and professor Andre there'd be a bonus
00:22:38Hey Maria, well, you'll get the car that you want only if this cave is really the right one and they find the treasure
00:22:44You'll find it. My uncle promised to give me a dowry Sunday
00:22:48This cave is to be it
00:22:50So now
00:22:52We'll be able to settle down for a few years settle in Rome. It's an exciting city
00:22:56Well, Sophia. I hear it's a wonderful place to visit
00:22:59It is when I buy a home with my share come and visit me Maria you too, Pete
00:23:04No, I think it's good enough for my tastes. I have things to do there business to look after and Diana
00:23:11Diana
00:23:12Yes, that's right
00:23:15Diana is my car
00:23:18Once upon a time I was a hired chauffeur and I always cursed and battered the cars I drove but Diana here
00:23:25I pamper her I pamper her she's mine and why'd you name her Diana?
00:23:30Well, I always thought saving enough money for a car is like shooting at the moon
00:23:36Now I have a car and so
00:23:39Diane is the moon you're a romantic Pete. I wish you the best of luck. Thank you
00:23:45Someday I'll be the owner of the largest tourist bureau in Athens and I'll need all the best luck
00:23:50We'll all be very lucky if that map is right about the cave
00:23:56Diana's counting on it
00:24:01Norman you were valuable with a gun in the war but with a shovel you excel yourself
00:24:07The primary requisite for a successful treasure hunter is is to know how to handle a shovel
00:24:12All right, that's enough. That's enough
00:24:20All right, come here
00:24:38Come here
00:24:40Do you know what this means? This is it they buried the treasure here and then kill the diggers to keep it secret
00:24:55They won't be able to tell us
00:25:01I'm done
00:25:03Oh
00:25:05Oh
00:25:07Maria
00:25:09Is it true what calliope said about that cave there?
00:25:13Pete can you see that shepherd tending his flock? Yes
00:25:21He won't come any nearer to this place because he's superstitious all the shepherds are afraid of this area
00:25:29In winter this clearing is a natural shelter for a flock
00:25:32And yet they won't come near
00:26:02So
00:26:04Now we've got to blow it.
00:26:31The only way to break through.
00:26:33Let's get the dynamite.
00:26:34Uh-huh.
00:26:35And some water.
00:26:37I'm liable to die of thirst.
00:26:46Any sign of the treasure?
00:26:48You found it?
00:26:48I'm not sure yet.
00:26:49Thought it looks pretty good.
00:26:50I'm glad to hear it.
00:26:51In the second chamber, after all.
00:26:52It's below a block of cement.
00:26:54We're going after the dynamite.
00:26:56Well, I'll be glad to help when you return with it.
00:26:58Bravo, shall I bring you back a drink?
00:27:00Yes, thank you.
00:27:01Water?
00:27:02Water?
00:27:03Water?
00:27:04Water?
00:27:05Water?
00:27:06Water?
00:27:07Water?
00:27:08Water?
00:27:09Water?
00:27:10Water?
00:27:11Water?
00:27:12Water?
00:27:13Water?
00:27:14Water?
00:27:15Water?
00:27:16Water?
00:27:17Water?
00:27:18Water?
00:27:19Water?
00:27:20Water?
00:27:21Water?
00:27:22Water?
00:27:23Water?
00:27:24Water?
00:27:25Water?
00:27:26Water?
00:27:27Water?
00:27:28Water?
00:27:29Water?
00:27:30Well, did you have any luck?
00:27:32I think perhaps it's time you thought about buying that new car.
00:27:36At last, Marie, at last.
00:30:02You'd better stay here
00:30:32You'd better stay here
00:31:02Come on
00:31:32Come on
00:31:34What happened what was that awful sound I don't know
00:32:04Where is he dead? He was killed by something killed by something uncle something what?
00:32:25We got frightened by Andre's order to run and bolted from something that wasn't there at all
00:32:29How do you explain the sound nerves right and strophus what murdered him?
00:32:34You don't have to ask about that. You know what's responsible. I told you already
00:32:39Oh stop that nonsense calliope. I examined that poor man
00:32:43It was absolutely white the thing had drained his blood
00:32:46The blood could have spilled into the ground
00:32:48No Sophia there wasn't enough time for that
00:32:51And just how was he killed? There's something. Do you know what it was uncle Andre?
00:32:57Maybe a heart attack. Oh, and did he slash himself when he was dying? But that's impossible
00:33:02Maybe some villagers spied on us hit in the cave and then killed him
00:33:06That's it to scare us off. I'm not a man to retreat like that to be scared like that
00:33:12Then let's go back to the cave
00:33:18No, I'll see love you can't go in I think our imaginations are jumping with fear
00:33:25With the mummy
00:33:27Spravo's death
00:33:29And the superstitions of Goliath
00:33:32You are a brave man, Mr. I feel off
00:33:34But do not tempt faith too long
00:33:37Now look here. There's a treasure worth a million dollars in that cave and no myth is going to stop us from getting it
00:33:43I've spent years trying to find this treasure and now that we're at the end of the rainbow nothing is going to stop us
00:33:48Nothing that's human
00:33:49But I'm willing to go back in there and tackle whatever it is
00:33:54Do you think that the villagers haven't heard that a band of international thieves see their
00:33:58Their treasure in there somewhere because they've been told that the villagers would be too afraid to go inside
00:34:03Maybe they didn't have a map and nowhere to dig
00:34:06One doesn't need to have a map to figure which cave is cursed
00:34:09And this cave was doubly cursed when it received a treasure dripping with the blood of many men
00:34:14But how long does blood cling to a treasure?
00:34:18It's been years since it was first put there and its curse started claiming lives
00:34:22That was before the atom bomb before we started to land men on the moon
00:34:25That was another age
00:34:27And how many ages can a curse last?
00:34:31Let's go back to the cave
00:34:32I'll see love
00:34:33Wait till tomorrow
00:34:35Tomorrow?
00:34:36How do I know the villagers won't steal it tonight?
00:34:38Andre, what do you say?
00:34:42No, uncle
00:34:42Please don't go in there tonight
00:34:44I don't want you to get killed in there
00:34:46So please stay out
00:34:48Don't worry, Maria, dear
00:34:50Andre
00:34:51A fortune is waiting
00:34:53Don't you feel that gambling your life will be worth it?
00:34:58I want to wait and go back in the morning, Arsinov
00:35:00And maybe then
00:35:02And leave that kind of money out there all night
00:35:04And leave that kind of money out there all night?
00:35:11See?
00:35:17What are those villagers doing up there?
00:35:20I'll tell you
00:35:21They're waiting till we're asleep
00:35:23You see, unfortunately, Arsinov
00:35:25In my blood also there's a thirst it's greed
00:35:27Are you coming, Pete?
00:35:30Why not?
00:35:35I'm ready to try anything, I guess
00:35:37For the first time, anyway
00:35:39Ah, Pete
00:35:41You belong with us
00:35:43Fifteen years of chasing after this treasure
00:35:45Now it's almost in our grasp
00:35:47Andre
00:35:48Let's get the dynamite
00:35:50Let's get the dynamite
00:35:51Now what, Ocelov?
00:36:21Andre, it's here at the end of the road for us, or the beginning of a new one.
00:36:31Come on.
00:36:32Nervous, Pete?
00:36:34That's all right.
00:36:35It makes one more alert.
00:36:39When are we going to bury him?
00:36:41Tomorrow, Andre.
00:36:44Tomorrow.
00:36:45Here?
00:36:46Yes.
00:36:47Under here.
00:36:48Let's get it over with as fast as possible.
00:37:04Let's get it over with as fast as possible.
00:37:11Let's get it over with as fast as possible.
00:37:19Let's get it over with.
00:37:41Wow!
00:38:11Maria! Sophia!
00:38:27Close up all the windows and vault the doors.
00:38:41Take it easy, Maria. Take it easy.
00:38:51Oh, I had a hard time closing the shutter.
00:38:59It's out there, Arcelove.
00:39:01Yes, but what is it?
00:39:03I might have seen something, but it was only a reflection.
00:39:05The sound came from something in there.
00:39:07Something? The thing that guards the treasure?
00:39:09I ask myself, can I believe what I'm believing?
00:39:19Calliope, bring the first aid, quickly.
00:39:31It's pretty bad. I think it might have been the same thing
00:39:33that attacked Straubles, whatever it was.
00:39:35May we all be protected from the curse.
00:39:39The pain's awful, I feel.
00:39:41I might as well be dead.
00:39:47I can't figure out just what kind of animal could have made this land.
00:39:49You could ask the devil about it.
00:39:51I know it means that we've all been doomed.
00:39:53I don't know if it's the devil, Calliope,
00:39:55though I'm sure it is in another world.
00:39:57It's not possible that that wound could come from any known creature.
00:39:59That's what I'm thinking.
00:40:01There's something in that cave that's not from this earth.
00:40:03Now you can't blame the villagers, can you?
00:40:05Now aren't you convinced of their innocence?
00:40:07You, uh...
00:40:09You didn't mention the kind of treasure you've all been hoping
00:40:13that was hidden in there somewhere.
00:40:15Now possibly you can tell me just what it is that's brought us together.
00:40:19Arcelot can tell you.
00:40:21He has photographs of the important items.
00:40:23But don't ask him how I got hold of them.
00:40:25The treasure dates back to ancient Greece,
00:40:27and some items are from the Roman Empire.
00:40:29This was part of the treasure.
00:40:31I'll tell you later.
00:40:32You have to tell me what's called the treasure.
00:40:33But don't ask him how I got hold of them.
00:40:35The treasure dates back to ancient Greece,
00:40:37and some items are from the Roman Empire.
00:40:39This was part of the treasure.
00:40:41But you don't know how to tell you.
00:40:43You can tell me what you've found out.
00:40:44You can tell me.
00:40:45You can tell me what you've found out here.
00:40:47You can tell me.
00:40:48The treasure dates back to ancient Greece, and some items are from the Roman Empire.
00:40:53This was part of the treasure.
00:40:56A bust of Aphrodite.
00:40:59A bronze of arrows.
00:41:01Tablets that come from Corinth.
00:41:03Other valuable pieces of art.
00:41:06They were recovered early in 1900 off Tunisia when some divers found the remains of an ancient Roman cargo boat.
00:41:12But some of the objects disappeared before the authorities could confiscate everything.
00:41:16But at least of the relics is in the cave up there.
00:41:20This one.
00:41:22A small statue of Achilles holding a large shield of solid gold covered with some of the most valuable gems of ancient times.
00:41:29I wish we could use that shield to protect us from whatever is in that cave up there.
00:41:34That cargo boat which the divers found was supposed to contain the treasure taken from the sacking of Athens in 86 BC.
00:41:40Oh, but somehow it was brought up here.
00:41:42Yes, one night two of the divers brought some of the pieces.
00:41:45The diver killed the other, took one of the pieces and later sold it.
00:41:48To Krakow's contact?
00:41:49No.
00:41:50He sold the object to two smugglers who made plans to auction it to art collectors.
00:41:54The diver also told the smugglers the location of the rest of the treasure.
00:41:57But then came World War II and they decided to leave the treasure where it was.
00:42:00Then they drew a map.
00:42:02Tore it in half.
00:42:03Made sure they were the only ones who knew where the treasure was buried.
00:42:06Then the diver was murdered.
00:42:08What brought the three of you together to look for this treasure?
00:42:11One of the smugglers had been killed during an air raid.
00:42:14He had the map on him.
00:42:15A French soldier found it and took the half of the map.
00:42:17That's when Osloff and I ran into Andre.
00:42:20We were all searching for that Frenchman.
00:42:22But then we went about it in different ways.
00:42:25You see, I've had my part of the map for about ten years.
00:42:28I went tracing treasure rumors throughout Greece till I came to this place.
00:42:32Krakow found the other smuggler hiding in Italy,
00:42:34biding his time before returning to Greece.
00:42:37And to whom does this treasure go?
00:42:39Why, to the finders.
00:42:40Dorman, Andre and myself.
00:42:42It's no more than we deserve.
00:42:43We had it rough during the war.
00:42:45We lost everything, but we fought.
00:42:47And now we've grown too soft.
00:42:49Me, I'm too old and slow to beat this enemy.
00:42:51It's not an enemy.
00:42:53It's more a legend that was simply passed down to us.
00:42:56Passed from generation after generation.
00:42:58But that treasure in there has been my life's work.
00:43:01Nothing else matters, Calliope.
00:43:03There is nothing else.
00:43:05You lived through terrible battles and came out of the war safely.
00:43:08And you are healthy and have many more years.
00:43:10Don't let the cave rob you of them.
00:43:12There are so many things in life more valuable.
00:43:15Yes, more than treasure.
00:43:17Calliope, you're a wise woman.
00:43:19Yes, you're right, Calliope.
00:43:21There is more than treasure.
00:43:22Tomorrow morning, I'm going to leave, Mr. Asilov.
00:43:25I'm sorry.
00:43:26The girls can come along as well as Dorman.
00:43:29He'll need some care.
00:43:30You and the professor can come with us.
00:43:32There's room for everybody.
00:43:33When we get to Athens, we can figure out a plan of action
00:43:36against this invisible destructive force.
00:43:38Yes, we must.
00:43:40Here we don't have any firearms.
00:43:42You see, Calliope.
00:43:43I'll be back.
00:43:44You go back to the cave.
00:43:46But heed what I said.
00:43:47There's more to life than this.
00:44:04Well, good night, Maria.
00:44:06Good night, Sophia.
00:44:07Good night, Sophia.
00:44:08Good night.
00:44:17Poor Stravus.
00:44:19Maybe we've been hearing the spirits of those who've been killed
00:44:22in the chase for the treasure.
00:44:24You sound like Calliope.
00:44:26She's a brave woman.
00:44:27And she makes sense to me.
00:44:29Calliope has her faith to overcome her fear.
00:44:31I have only my lust for treasure to overcome mine.
00:44:34The power of the unknown and the unseen.
00:44:36But now that we know it exists, maybe the sound of it won't frighten us
00:44:39as much as before.
00:44:40If we're at this jumpy, you can imagine how nervous the girls are.
00:45:02My uncle won't allow making up.
00:45:04He says I'm too young to use it.
00:45:06Oh, putting on cream is for both young and old.
00:45:09Have to look good in the morning.
00:45:24Pete.
00:45:25Well, he's very handsome, don't you think?
00:45:27Yes.
00:45:28And he's also very nice.
00:45:31And I think he likes you.
00:45:32Really?
00:45:33Oh, yes.
00:45:39I'll be in the room next to the kitchen.
00:45:41Call me if you need anything, Mr. Donnell.
00:45:42Thank you, Calliope.
00:45:43You're being very kind.
00:45:44I'll be in the room next to the kitchen.
00:45:46Call me if you need anything, Mr. Donnell.
00:45:47Thank you, Calliope.
00:45:48You're being very kind.
00:45:49Thank you, Calliope.
00:45:50You're being very kind.
00:45:51Thank you, Calliope.
00:45:52You're being very kind.
00:45:54Well, someone has a house with you, you're going to be in the room next to the bathroom.
00:45:59Slay?
00:46:00Let's go home.

00:48:29What is it?
00:48:57You're unable to sleep, huh?
00:48:59I thought I heard a strange noise.
00:49:01I hope it wasn't that thing that you heard.
00:49:03Oh, I certainly hope I don't hear that terrible thing.
00:49:06Tell me, how was Mr. Dorman?
00:49:09He's fine, Maria.
00:49:27Oh, I'm sorry.
00:49:29Oh, thank you.
00:49:33Oh, yes.
00:49:34I'd be happy if I were just a mile from here.
00:49:37Or at least would people's lives are normal.
00:49:40Yesterday I thought about my business, that's all.
00:49:43As you know, I was full of big plans to get rich.
00:49:47And now I'm sorry I didn't pay a lot more attention to other things.
00:49:51More important things like dancing, flowers, books, and music.
00:49:56That's right, yes. I'm beginning to realize
00:49:59how much there can be in life if one just opens his eyes.
00:50:03And somebody around to share it all with you.
00:50:07Maria, did you ever have somebody?
00:50:12I never remained long enough in one place to meet anyone.
00:50:16And I was orphaned when I was nine.
00:50:19Then my uncle became father and mother.
00:50:22Then we began chasing the treasure.
00:50:25I'll bet it was pretty rough.
00:50:27I've been lucky. I have my parents.
00:50:30My parents and two brothers.
00:50:32Uncle Andre has meant well, been so considerate.
00:50:36But I'm sure I must be a burden to him.
00:50:38When we get to Athens, I want you to meet my family.
00:50:41Then we'll go dancing, swimming and...
00:50:43and take a... a walk in the park.
00:50:46Oh, I'm sure I'm going to like that.
00:50:48And me?
00:50:49And me?
00:51:18And we thought that egg had turned to stone.
00:51:33In the explosion in the cave that uncovered this egg,
00:51:35there must have been another like it.
00:51:36And the other one could have rolled into a corner
00:51:37and hatched immediately.
00:51:38So what killed Stravos and came after us
00:51:39might have grown from something like that?
00:51:40It comes from a prehistoric age.
00:51:41We already know that.
00:51:42They lay on hatch for thousands of years,
00:51:43maybe even millions,
00:51:44until the day when we or I accidentally blasted them loose.
00:51:46But why can't it be seen?
00:51:47I don't know.
00:51:48Maybe it absorbs the color of its background,
00:51:49as protection, and becomes invisible immediately.
00:51:51Thank you, Captain,
00:51:52I'll make coffee.
00:51:54Thank you, Captain.
00:51:55And I might change the mask from a bit,
00:51:56because I know that the thickness of the branch
00:51:57of the stone was smashed.
00:51:58The other one would be ashes.
00:51:59You might have grown from something like that.
00:52:00It comes from a prehistoric age.
00:52:01We already know that.
00:52:02They lay on hatch for thousands of years,
00:52:03maybe even millions,
00:52:04until the day when we or I accidentally blasted them loose.
00:52:06But why can't it be seen?
00:52:07I don't know.
00:52:08Maybe it absorbs the color of its background,
00:52:09as protection,
00:52:10and becomes invisible immediately.
00:52:11I'll make coffee.
00:52:21Thank you, Calliope.
00:53:11It's apparent that it really can be dangerous to dig up in these Greek mountains here.
00:53:35It should be prohibited by law.
00:53:38Archaeology is too recent a science to have many regulations.
00:53:41At the beginning of the century, practically all we knew of ancient peoples came from what
00:53:45we read in the Bible.
00:53:46But since 1910, we've had many discoveries and learned a lot from them.
00:53:49And before that, no one does?
00:53:50Very few.
00:53:52Champignon was one in 1822.
00:53:54He found the Rosetta Stone.
00:53:55I guess that might be considered the beginning of archaeology.
00:53:58Today, they dig all over, even under the sea.
00:54:01And are we going to be rewarded for unearthing a prehistoric monster?
00:54:04And are we going to be rewarded for unearthing a prehistoric monster?
00:54:08so we know it's a prehistoric monster.
00:54:15And are we going to be rewarded for right now?
00:54:17I'll do it for you.
00:54:19So, what do you think...
00:54:20and are there...
00:54:21So, what do you think?
00:54:22諸侯, I'll do it for you.
00:54:24I'll do it for you.
00:54:24You won't do it for you.
00:54:25Oh
00:54:46Should I burn this and keep calliope happy or sell it to some other ambitious fortune outing I'll sell my share of the map right now for a hospital bed
00:54:53Calliope hurry up with the coffee. It's coming just a minute
00:55:03Maybe some gay music will help
00:55:14All very gay
00:55:23I
00:57:25Get back into the main room.
00:57:35Hurry!
00:57:37Let's go.
00:57:39Let's go.
00:57:43Let's go.
00:57:45Let's go.
00:57:47Let's go.
00:57:49Let's go.
00:57:53Let's go.
00:57:55Let's go.
00:57:57Let's go.
00:57:59Let's go.
00:58:01Let's go.
00:58:03Let's go.
00:58:05Let's go.
00:58:07Let's go.
00:58:09Let's go.
00:58:11Let's go.
00:58:13Let's go.
00:58:15Let's go.
00:58:17Let's go.
00:58:19Let's go.
00:58:21Let's go.
00:58:23Let's go.
00:58:25Let's go.
00:58:27Let's go.
00:58:29Let's go.
00:58:31Let's go.
00:58:35Let's go.
00:58:37Let's go.
00:58:39Let's go.
00:58:41Let's go.
00:58:43Let's go.
00:58:45Let's go.
00:58:47Let's go.
00:58:49Let's go.
00:58:50Let's go.
00:58:51Let's go.
00:58:53Let's go.
00:58:55Let's go.
00:58:57Let's go.
00:58:59Oh, Uncle Andre.
00:59:01Calliope's been killed.
00:59:03Don't cry, Maria.
00:59:05There must be a way to fight before I was saying it's impossible to fight back
00:59:12It's like living under the threat of an atom bomb we'll hear it drop and then I'll take the atom bomb maids
00:59:17Nobody's pressed the button yet. I'd like to press a button and drop one right on that cave
00:59:21The sooner we leave the better if our invisible friend out there permits it
00:59:26Andre's right at dawn. We'll leave
00:59:29Can anybody sleep not me?

01:15:39But what do we do?
01:15:41How can we fight something we can't see?
01:15:43There must be some way to trap this thing.
01:15:45I'm going to get a pillow.
01:16:03Oh, no.
01:16:33Maria!
01:16:35Are you all right in there?
01:16:37I'm not going to be for long.
01:16:39Hurry, Pete!
01:16:41How did he get in?
01:16:43It was in our bedroom.

01:16:53We must get it out.
01:16:55But there's no way.

01:17:17But there's no way.
01:17:19Maybe if you put bait outside.
01:17:20You're right.
01:17:21I'm going.
01:17:22No!
01:17:23Let me be the one to go.
01:17:25This doesn't mean that the bait will be killed, Dorman.
01:17:28The minute I hear the sound heading toward me,
01:17:30I'll head back for the house.
01:17:32I'll be at the front door.
01:17:33Good luck, Pete.
01:17:35Maria!
01:17:36Get ready!

01:19:08Let's go.
01:19:38Do you mind if I tremble a little?
01:19:56Beware the man who's never afraid.
01:20:00Such bravery deserves a drink.
01:20:09Come on.
01:20:10Help yourself.
01:20:11Are you all right?
01:20:22Stormen!
01:20:25We've got to get him to a doctor.
01:20:27But how can we, Pete?
01:20:29Not by using bait again.
01:20:30I wouldn't let you do it.
01:20:31Don't worry about it.
01:20:33One Cihiro has plenty for me.
01:20:35I want to talk to you alone, Arsene.
01:20:36Come here.
01:20:47Even if you get me to a hospital, I know what'll happen.
01:20:52They'll amputate my leg.
01:20:53And I know I'll be half a man like that.
01:20:58No.
01:21:00That's not for me.
01:21:01You're talking nonsense.
01:21:02We both knew a great president once who couldn't use both legs.
01:21:06And he wasn't half a man.
01:21:08He was a whole army.
01:21:09Let me go out as bait.
01:21:11When it comes for me, the rest of you can make an escape.
01:21:15And I may die the way I've spent my life.
01:21:18Attacking the enemy.
01:21:20I'm sorry.
01:21:23You cannot turn me down.
01:21:25As you know, if you'll refuse, it'll mean your death.
01:21:37Pete.
01:21:37Didn't you say that the thing made tracks?
01:21:41Yes.
01:21:42In the flour, in the pantry.
01:21:43Why?
01:21:44Come with me.
01:21:57Pete, we have work to do.
01:22:00Don't you think we'd better wait until it's dark?
01:22:03Your Diana out there is too susceptible to weather.
01:22:05I feel positive my plan will work.
01:22:08Father.
01:22:09Don't you think we're still going on?
01:22:09It's dark, without me.
01:22:14No.
01:22:22Oh.
01:22:27What are you doing?
01:22:28Take that.
01:22:28Never.
01:22:29Let me sit down.
01:22:30What am I?
01:22:31Do you think?

01:24:01What do you mean?
01:24:06I hope it doesn't go around it.
