Durante su discurso ante el Parlamento israelí este lunes, el presidente de Estados Unidos Donald Trump pidió al presidente israelí Isaac Herzog que indultara al primer ministro Benjamin Netanyahu, que afronta tres causas judiciales por corrupción y cuyo proceso judicial la guerra en la Franja de Gaza ha ido retrasando.

"Señor presidente, tengo una idea: ¿por qué no le concede el indulto?”, ha planteado Trump desde la tribuna del Knesset. “Puros y champán, ¿a quién le importa eso?”, ha añadido, en referencia a los regalos de lujo que forman parte de uno de los casos contra el jefe del gobierno israelí.
