00:00And is AES closed indefinitely?

00:03AES is cooperating with us in every way, form, or fashion.

00:09They've been, since the onset of that, they've been open-door policy with us.

00:15They've been very open, communicating with us.

00:19And I want to go back to, again, to an earlier thing that I said in one of the earlier interviews.

00:26I think it was how many folks, I don't, forgive me, but I don't remember the number that I said during that time.

00:33At the time of that incident, that 7.45 a.m., I put out a number out there that we could tell you was in that building at that time.

00:40And forgive me, I don't remember because I've moved on since then.

00:43And in my mind, I don't have that in my mind, so forgive me.

00:47What is the role of AES in the investigation?

00:50Are they cooperating, but what are they giving information, or how to find out what not to do?

00:56Well, you have to remember something.

00:58Us as law enforcement, we have the job of not only doing investigations.

01:05We have the job of, when we go into these things, we have to protect them like they're a crime scene.

01:11But we also have to remember that we're on private property.

01:17This is not a situation that's happening, you know, in the middle of the road or on public property.

01:21We have to remember that.

01:22And I highly commend Accurate at this time for what they've done.

01:32They've allowed us in any way, form, or fashion, communicated with us, given us the information to ATF,

01:38and been forthcoming with pretty much anything that has been asked for.

01:42So, you know, you have to remember something, too.

01:46And we've talked about our families of our victims in our community, and, you know, that's, even though this is a company,

01:55and they work, and it's a place of employment, this is their extended family.

01:58So they deal with these folks every day, and it's extended family to them.

02:05And I was speaking with one of the gentlemen from Accurate earlier, and he was very emotional.

02:12And he's trying everything that he can do and supporting us in every way we can with these families.

02:19And, you know, he's made the comment to me, whatever we need to help aid and assist them, it's there.

02:25And I think he's continued that effort for us, and we're very appreciative of that on the law enforcement side.

02:32So do you have a question, ma'am?

02:33The public has several buildings on the site.

02:37Do you know more about the actual building that you have, like the people, like the people, like the people, like the people?

02:43Ma'am, I do not know that.

02:45And we're leaving the investigative side to the ATF on that,

02:51and I want to leave that as part of the investigation to secure that.

02:54Again, I have to be guarded with investigative-type stuff.

02:58And I don't by no means want to put words in ATF, but I feel that they would concur with that.

03:07We don't report rumors or whatever, and we don't want to keep it going.

03:12You've been so gracious with all of us as media personnel, from everything, from the restrooms out here, the generators,

03:18to the way that you speak to all of us.

03:21What message can we communicate going forward so that we can stop and advance what the rumor bill that keeps playing out,

03:29especially in the ATF investigation?

03:33Talking about, oh, if there's something nefarious that happened, you know,

03:37we want to get to the bottom of it and hold people accountable.

03:39What can we share with our viewers when it comes to not, you know, perpetuating that?

03:46Ms. Tracy, one of the things that we did yesterday, Sheriff and I and Jason from Tima,

03:53we put together a Facebook post.

03:55And I've started day one since talking with y'all, or moment one from talking to y'all until now.

04:03We have to remember that this is, we get one shot at this.

04:07It's just like another crime scene.

04:09It's just like a murder scene.

04:10It's just like a shooting scene.

04:11We get one shot at this.

04:16One shot.

04:16We have to take our time, process it, and due to the constraints that we have here,

04:22and I was not joking earlier, we're literally having to take one foot at a time.

04:28And we've got, if we can't maintain the safety and security of us, those that are working the scene,

04:37we've got to make sure that that is in place to be able for us to continue to get those answers,

04:44to get what is needed.

04:45So, to be transparent, again, it's not that we're hiding anything from you.

04:50It just takes time.

04:51And I know sometimes time is our worst enemy about letting people's minds wonder,

04:57about letting people's minds have an idea of conspiracy theories in it.

05:02I assure you that Sheriff Craft and I will give you any bit of information that we can when it comes available.

05:12We're not going to hide something from you.

05:14The only thing that I will tell you is that sometimes there's some things going on in investigations

05:19that we can't necessarily talk about, and I will tell you that.

05:23If something's asked or something's asked of me, and I think Sheriff Craft will echo the same words,

05:28if there's something said that we feel is involved in that investigative side of things,

05:32we'll tell you, ma'am, I'm not at liberty to talk about that, right?

05:34And we'll tell you that.

05:35But the rumor mill right now, it's any time that we start putting things out there for the rumor mill

05:44or the rumor mill is putting it out there, don't aim it at us.

05:47But when you say that or somebody says that, Facebook post or meaning it's Facebook post

05:55and they're putting it out there, the families are reading these things.

05:58Our victims are reading these things.

06:00And I want you to remember that.

06:01I've talked about family from day one.

06:04If we're going to put information out there, we're going to put it out there.

06:09We're asking people not to put the rumors out there because that is not hurting us.

06:15Does it upset us?

06:16Absolutely it does.

06:17We had a situation earlier that we found something.

06:20We don't know who posted it.

06:22Very upsetting to us because we told you different.

06:27And when it comes to that, we just ask anybody and everybody, think about these families.

06:32Think about these victims.

06:34That's how I would like to make that statement.
