00:00Hey, guys. Day six in self-quarantine.
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks for the funniest time celebrities posted or appeared on social media,
00:14only to showcase how detached they are from reality.
00:18Hey, man, what do you do for a living? Your car's awesome.
00:20Oh, my God, I know you.
00:22Yeah, Jaden and Mac, you seen it?
00:23What's up, bro?
00:24I'm a chef.
00:24You're...
00:25Number 10. School's Out. Jaden Smith.
00:30In 2008, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith established the New Village Leadership Academy in Calabasas, California, which their kids attended.
00:39Jaden and his younger sister, Willow, are both homeschooled.
00:42Up until it closed its doors last June due to a lack of funding, Jaden had attended the New Village Leadership Academy,
00:49a private school founded by his parents in 2008.
00:52However, by 2013, the school, which was criticized for having ties to Scientology, was closed.
00:59Jaden Smith was then homeschooled and was seemingly loving it.
01:03He posted a series of tweets criticizing the school system, claiming that if people stopped going, there would be a more intelligent society.
01:11Instead of revolutionizing that educational system, the younger Smith seems to be suggesting his Twitter followers abandon it.
01:18Unfortunately, homeschooling didn't teach him not to capitalize every word.
01:23The internet tore into Smith for his privileged comments, especially with additional, more bizarre statements claiming that babies would be the most intelligent beings if they could speak,
01:33and that schools apparently brainwashed students.
01:36Advises his followers, get off your phones and go do what you actually want to do.
01:41Number 9. I'll be back in my jacuzzi.
01:44Arnold Schwarzenegger.
01:45The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic really brought out how detached many celebrities are from the everyday person.
01:52The important thing is that you stay at home because there's a curfew now.
01:58For starters, there was the actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
02:03He started off well, making videos of himself with his donkey and mini horse as he encouraged viewers to not go out.
02:10Yet that soon morphed into showing off his luxurious lifestyle.
02:13Here I am at home, taking a jacuzzi, smoking a little stogie.
02:17While sitting in a lovely jacuzzi and puffing on a cigar,
02:20Schwarzenegger recorded another video on social media of himself pleading with people,
02:25especially spring break students, to stay at home.
02:28Social media was rife with comments from people mocking Schwarzenegger for smoking during an outbreak of a respiratory illness,
02:35as others stated that they didn't have the option to not work.
02:38You got to go and follow those orders.
02:40Just remember, stay at home. Don't go to crowds.
02:44Number 8. MLK and Instagram.
02:47Zac Efron.
02:48Famously, Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream.
02:51Unfortunately for Zac Efron, it had nothing to do with celebrities bragging on social media.
02:56So the actor posted a tweet on MLK Day saying,
03:00I'm grateful for Martin Luther King Jr. and 10 million followers on Instagram.
03:04In 2016, to commemorate Martin Luther King Day,
03:08the actor released a tribute to the activist on Instagram and Twitter,
03:12stating he was grateful for King's work, rather than leave it there.
03:17On top of adding a selfie of himself,
03:19Efron also slipped in that he was delighted with having 10 million followers on Instagram.
03:25It was a very jarring change of topic.
03:27Criticism soon swept in as people pointed out that a white man was hijacking the holidays celebrating the legacy of a black man.
03:34After a social media backlash, the very next day, Efron deleted the post and issued an apology.
03:39Efron thus deleted the Instagram post and released an apology.
03:44Number 7. Hackers did it.
03:46Rita Ora.
03:47If someone hacks into your social media account, they can also access your unreleased music.
03:52The artist's Twitter has become a great tool to do some self-promotion,
03:56but sometimes even the best laid plans can turn into one giant social media fail.
04:01At least, that's what supposedly happened to singer Rita Ora on Halloween 2014.
04:06She tweeted that if her post got 100,000 retweets, she'd release her new single the following Monday.
04:12After only a humbling 2,000 retweets, despite 3.9 million followers at the time, Ora deleted the tweet.
04:18The tweet was deleted about an hour after it was posted and after receiving just 2,000 retweets.
04:24She then announced she'd been hacked and that none of her music would come out until she and the label were ready.
04:30But that might not explain Ora retweeting another account that took shots at the lack of fan support before that post was also deleted.
04:37I feel like this is not good.
04:39Number 6. Not so squeaky clean.
04:42Madonna.
04:43Not even the queen of pop was immune to backlash for her luxurious lifestyle during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
04:50That's the thing about COVID-19.
04:52It doesn't care about how rich you are, how famous you are.
04:59Madonna uploaded a video across her social media accounts of her in a bath of milk and rose petals.
05:04She goes on to claim that the pandemic is, quote, the great equalizer, all while sitting in her dairy flower bath, wearing elaborate jewelry, as well as being tone-deaf.
05:15It was very weird.
05:16Madonna then added that everyone was in the same boat in reference to her song, Human Nature.
05:21It's the great equalizer.
05:23Commentators pointed out that her fans are not equal to pop royalty and admonished her for trying to romanticize the terrible event.
05:30Number 5. Amateur chefs can afford supercars.
05:34Brooklyn Beckham.
05:35As a pop and fashion icon, as well as the son of a famous footballer,
05:40Brooklyn Beckham has tried his hand at several things to separate himself from his famous parents.
05:45But I kind of just wanted to go in my own direction.
05:47Modeling and a strange photography book were two such endeavors.
05:52In 2021, Beckham decided that being a professional chef was for him.
05:55He hired many pros and splashed out hundreds of thousands per episode for his online series, Cookin' with Brooklyn.
06:03Just got a nice sort of surprise in the ale today, so I'm going to make some black truffle Alfredo with some fresh black truffle.
06:09Let's go.
06:10In 2022, he was featured in a TikTok video by Daniel Mack, where the influencer typically asks wealthy people what they do for a living.
06:18Beckham stated that he was a chef while sitting in a McLaren P1, implying that's how he could afford the expensive luxury car.
06:24Nice people trying to get into, like, cooking?
06:26Yeah.
06:27Uh, just follow your passion, whatever makes you happy.
06:30Number 4.
06:31The Japan Jokes.
06:32Gilbert Gottfried.
06:33For 11 years, the uniquely voiced Gilbert Gottfried had the cushy job of portraying the Aflac duck mascot.
06:41I want to return this duck!
06:43Why?
06:44It's very annoying!
06:47Then he threw it away in one day on social media.
06:49A few days after the devastating earthquake and tsunami claimed almost 2,000 lives in Japan in 2011, Gottfried tweeted 12 tasteless jokes about the terrible event.
07:00You notice when you're reading the tsunami jokes, everybody here was laughing.
07:06Yes, that's true.
07:07And see, that's the thing.
07:09However, Gottfried, as he later admitted, had no idea that Aflac conducted a whopping 75% of its business in Japan.
07:17Uh-oh.
07:18With that, the backlash caused the company to quickly fire the controversial comedian and begin searching for a new voice actor, who wouldn't joke about natural disasters.
07:28Now, at the time, do you realize that Aflac does 75% of their business in Japan?
07:33I found that out soon enough!
07:36Number 3.
07:37Essential Wasters.
07:38The Kardashians.
07:39Once again, the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how removed some famous faces are from reality.
07:46So I haven't had this much excitement in months.
07:50While the world was experiencing a shortage of toilet paper, the Kardashian family had a swell idea.
07:56Through their Keeping Up With The Kardashians show, several members took part in practical jokes with toilet paper.
08:02However, this was a very different time from those halcyon days.
08:06So, watch this.
08:09She's coming!
08:12She's coming!
08:13Kourtney Kardashian uploaded an Instagram video that showed her front lawn draped in toilet paper, putting the blame on her sister Khloe for the stunt.
08:21While the Kardashians reveled in the event on social media, viewers laid into them for wasting an item that people were desperate for.
08:29Next time, guess what we're gonna do, P?
08:32Number 2.
08:33GoFundMe Millionaire.
08:34Kylie Jenner.
08:35Bear in mind that Kylie Jenner is reportedly worth well over $500 million.
08:40In 2021, following a car accident, makeup artist Samuel Rauda underwent surgery.
08:46Jenner, who had worked with him, issued her support on Instagram stories.
08:51What annoyed followers was her directing people to donate to Rauda's GoFundMe.
08:55Jenner donated $5,000, which many believed was essentially pocket change for one of the wealthiest women in the world.
09:01However, the fundraiser was originally looking for $10,000, which Jenner's donation helped achieve.
09:08Yet, with an increase in medical services, Rauda's goal increased.
09:12Jenner responded to the backlash, stating she was trying to be helpful, and downplayed her relationship with Rauda.

09:34Number 1.
09:35Imagine.
09:36Gal Gadot.
09:37As people were fearing what the world would be in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gal Gadot claimed that we had nothing to worry about.
09:44You know, this virus had affected the entire world.
09:50Everyone.
09:52Doesn't matter who you are, where you're from.
09:56We're all in this together.
09:58In 2020, the actress and Kristen Wiig got their celebrity contacts to each sing a line from John Lennon's Imagine,
10:05then released the video on Instagram, and it was a disaster.
10:11It isn't hard to do.
10:13Considering that Imagine is all about uniting people, it definitely did that, just not the way the creators intended.
10:20Viewers heavily criticized the project as an empty and horribly awkward gesture.
10:25It inspired many parodies that mocked the saga.
10:28Even Gadot regretted making it, as she later admitted the video was in, quote, poor taste.
10:33And the world will be as one.
10:38What's the most embarrassing thing you've posted on social media?
10:42Let us know in the comments.
10:44We don't go out.
10:45We don't go to restaurants.
10:46We don't do anything like that anymore here.
