01:18And it took Hyderabad now close to 30 plus years to be what it is today.
01:24So I was telling Anand Rajgaru on the way here, I said,
01:29I was telling, you know, what we will achieve here today, if you look at it is,
01:35we laid a foundation, and what Hyderabad took 30 years,
01:40we will actually take not more than 10 years to achieve here in Vishakapatnam.
01:49You know, that is our firm commitment.
01:52And that is what I would like to thank Kota Rajgaru for his support also here.
01:56And it really means a lot for us to drive the entire ecosystem.
02:00What people of Andhra Pradesh also have to realize is,
02:05a lot of hard work goes behind bringing each and every company.
02:10You know, Rajgaru was kind enough to host me in California when I first time became the minister,
02:14this was in 2017.
02:18And ever since that, it took me 8 years to convince him that Vishakapatnam and Andhra Pradesh is the right place to come.
02:25So it takes a lot of effort, a lot of time, because we are no longer competing with other states.
02:30You are also competing with other countries who are looking for these investments.
02:35So it is very, very important that people of Andhra Pradesh understand it.
02:41You know, these investments did not happen over time.
02:45As Rajgaru just stated, you know, Sagargaru played a very important role.
02:50Rama Rajgaru played a very important role.
02:52Kaatam Nini Bhaskargaru, who is the IT secretary, played a very important role in getting this project to Vishakapatnam.
03:01So there is a lot of effort, a lot of energy, a lot of people behind these projects.
03:07And it takes a lot of energy to bring all this together, and bind it together, and then land it here.
03:13You know, honestly, I was telling Rajgaru that the entire greater Vishakapatnam economic region will be $1 trillion economy by 2047.
03:29For Andhra Pradesh, Vishakapatnam is our economic capital.
03:33And this is where we will be driving our agenda.
03:37This is where investments will be coming at next level.
03:40As a government, we believe that, of course, every state should have only one capital.
03:45But development should be decentralized.
03:48And this has been our mandate.
03:50We went to people, we cleared this mandate, and that is why we have created history by winning 94% of the seats that we have contested.
04:00It's a clear mandate to do good.
04:03It's a clear mandate to create jobs.
04:05It's a clear mandate to make Vishakapatnam the economic capital of Andhra Pradesh.
04:13Rajagar, I love this city for the single reason that even in 2019, when we lost rest of the state, we have still won Vishakapatnam.
04:23People of Vishakapatnam stood by us.
04:25They gave us the mandate to continue to stand by them.
04:32And if you look at it, people of Vishakapatnam and the greater region are very resilient people.
04:38So I'll give you two examples of it.
04:40One is Hudud.
04:41So in 2014, as soon as the India government won, we really had to, Hudud came in.
04:50And we were all caught off guard.
04:52We were not prepared because it was new government that just came in.
04:55We were trying to find our feet on the ground.
04:58We were still operating out of Hyderabad.
05:00And it really destroyed Vishakapatnam.
05:04It destroyed our airport.
05:05It destroyed our IT companies.
05:06It destroyed the entire infrastructure here.
05:09But then just the way people came together and supported, you know, our Honorable Chief Minister,
05:14Sandhra Baban Edhigaru, and said, we stand by you.
05:17Do what it takes to bring Vishakapatnam back.
05:20And I must admit, the Honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Garu, back then came.
05:27And he came to see the destruction that Hudud did.
05:30And he was driving through the streets of Vishakapatnam with our Honorable Chief Minister.
05:35And then he looked at our Chief Minister and said, Babu Garu, generally wherever destruction happens,
05:41we see pain and suffering.
05:43But it is only in Vishakapatnam that I see people with a smile in their face and waving hands to us.
05:50This is an amazing city.
05:52And that was the confidence, you know, that people of Vishakapatnam actually gave us back then and continue to give us even today.
05:59So we have a lot to do.
06:02I believe that we are creating history.
06:06Out of the $120 billion commitments that are coming into Andhra Pradesh in terms of investments over the last 17 months,
06:16close to 50% of that is now coming to the greater region, economic region of Vishakapatnam.
06:25India's largest steel plant coming to Vishakapatnam.
06:30India's largest FDI investment ever, single largest FDI investment ever, coming to Vishakapatnam.
06:38So if you look at it, all the great investments are coming here.
06:43It is going to create a vibrant ecosystem.
06:46It will create a vibrant job market.
06:50End of the day, our agenda is to create more and more jobs.
06:54It is our promise in Super 6 that 20 lakh jobs will actually get created.
06:59And as an IT minister, I have taken a target to create 5 lakh IT jobs here in Vishakapatnam.
07:11To do this, as Raju Garu just told me, he said, I need to hustle more.
07:17I am hustling, I need to do it more.
07:18It is quite clear.
07:19The mandate is quite clear.
07:21A lot of people criticized me for giving TCS land for 99 paise.
07:26Few of them also went to court.
07:30I don't want to talk politics, but you know which political party did that.
07:35But because we did that, Cognizant is coming to Vishakapatnam.
07:39Because we did that, Accenture is coming to Vishakapatnam.
07:42Because we did that, Salopure Sattva is coming to Vishakapatnam.
07:45Answer is coming to Vishakapatnam.
07:47Google is coming to Vishakapatnam.
07:50One policy made all the difference.
07:53One bold decision made all the difference.
07:56It is the catalyst that is actually going to change the greater economic region of Vishakapatnam.
08:03As a government, we are here to take policies, tough policies at times.
08:09We are willing to put up political capital in terms of developing Vishakapatnam.
08:13And honestly, I was sharing with Madhugaru, when I was coming here, that this is probably the most exciting time for Vishakapatnam.
08:22It is not just double-engine Sarkar.
08:28It is double-engine Sarkar that is on a bullet train.
08:33It is two engines that are driving a bullet train.
08:35Today, the Honorable Prime Minister is going all out to support Andhra Pradesh.
08:43Andhra Pradesh is an economic agenda.
08:46They are willing to bet on Andhra Pradesh.
08:49In fact, any reform that government of India wants to bring at a national level, there are clear directions that go to Andhra Pradesh because they will move fast.
08:58They will do it first.
08:59And we as a government are reciprocating.
09:03We as a state are doing this kind of work.
09:07But Rajgara, I should also share with you, when the Honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modigaru, said that I will come to Vishakapatnam, we will do Yoga Andhra.
09:17We will do Yoga here in Vishakapatnam.
09:20And then of course, as state government, we called it Yoga Andhra.
09:23But when he saw 3 lakh people, which is again a Guinness Book of World Record, 3 lakh people doing Yoga Andhra, he was completely surprised.
09:33And I told him, sir, this is only possible in Vishakapatnam.
09:36Nowhere else in India.
09:39People of Vishakapatnam reciprocated.
09:41People of Vishakapatnam came early in the morning.
09:44Because people had to leave home at almost 2.33 in the morning to come participate in this yoga program.
09:50And we were able to deliver it.
09:52It just shows that the resilience that people here have.
09:55And that is why the double-engine Sarkar is now running a bullet train here in Andhra Pradesh.
10:00And Vishakapatnam will definitely gain from this government.
10:04We will continue to support.
10:06If you look at it, as a policy, Government of India has looked at disinvestments in various sectors.
10:14But because we have a double-engine Sarkar, we have been able to save Vishakasteel plant.
10:20Government of India has injected close to 11,000 crores into Vishakasteel plant, out of which 9,000 crores is already injected.
10:28And as a state government, we are injecting 3,000 crores.
10:32In the last cabinet meeting only we cleared it.
10:343,000 crores into Vishakasteel plant to not only save it.
10:38I believe it is not only about saving Vishakasteel plant.
10:42We want Vishakasteel plant to thrive.
10:46When this government came in, there was only one furnace was operational.
10:50Today, three furnaces are operational.
10:52We are running at close to 80% of its capacity.
10:54We want to take it to 100% of Vishakasteel plant capacity and we want to ensure that it actually ends up making profits and contributes back.
11:05So that after 10 years, no one will again ask, you know, give us more money.
11:09That is not the agenda.
11:10We are getting one of the largest handouts, 14,000 crores to save Vishakasteel plant.
11:17And we have to use it prudently, judiciously, and we have to ensure that Vishakasteel plant is exceptionally profitable
11:25and contributes not only to the economy of Andhra Pradesh, but contributes to the economy of Bharat.
11:32So if you look at it, the railway zone, done.
11:36Saving Vishakasteel plant, done.
11:39Getting TCS, Cognizant, Accenture and few other IT companies.
11:46So you will see a lot of investments and announcements happening to Vishakapatnam in the next three months.
11:54It will be very exciting times and we here as a government are always ready.
12:00We are going to be aggressive.
12:02We are going to work hard for every investment.
12:05Rajukar, if you are talking about it, you will not be talking about it.
