00:08She's a famous actress and producer there in Hollywood.
00:12Actress Diane Keaton has now died at the age of 79.
00:16This was first reported by People magazine.
00:19They released the statement online.
00:21But we do know that Diane Keaton, the famed actress, director and producer, has died.
00:25She, the legendary Hollywood actress, starred in a ton of hit movies as well.
00:31At this point, Diane's cause of death is unclear, according to TMZ.
00:35But you may know some of her highly credited and impressive movies, including Some Things Gotta Give,
00:41First Wives Club, Father of the Bride, Annie Hall, The Godfather, Book Club, Baby Boom, Hanging Up, and more titles as well.
00:51And so Variety and several other outlets are also honoring the life and legacy of Diane Keaton.
00:57She received several awards.
00:59And in fact, she first became famous all the way back in the 1970s after appearing in the Godfather franchise
01:06and working with famed director Woody Allen.
01:09I want to put this up on your screen, some of this video footage that we have there of Diane Keaton appearing there on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
01:16But Diane did win an Oscar for Best Actress for her work in 1977's Annie Hall.
01:23This is where she starred alongside Woody.
01:25She was born in Los Angeles back in 1946 and was the oldest of four children.
01:31And her first movie in 1970 was Lovers and Other Strangers.
01:36Diane Berg on her first big break, though, playing Al Pacino's girlfriend in The Godfather, reprising her role as Kay Adams in the sequel and the trilogy as well.
01:46In recent years, she even starred in a Justin Bieber music video for his 2021 song called Ghost as well.
01:54We do know that TMZ says that they last saw and spoke with Diane in 2023, signing autographs in New York City at the beginning of the writer's strike.
02:03Diane never married and did have two adopted children within her personal life, but once again had an amazing career that was full of so many movies and memories for folks out there.
02:15She died at the age of 79.
