00:00Hi, my name is, well, it doesn't really matter. I'm here to tell you about the
00:07story of Piedmont, California. It's a small town now, but it's been around for
00:11a really long time. A lot of things happened here. Some people did really bad
00:17things that almost nobody talks about. There's also a man named Tom. He's still alive today.
00:24The thing is, Isaac, every town has its stories. You know, we just choose which
00:30ones to frame and hang up on the wall, which ones to leave in the basement.
00:34Right next to Piedmont in Oakland, one of Deering's descendants still lives. And even though the town looks quiet and normal,
00:43Piedmont was about to change.
00:48People are changing. Because of two men. Two men who wanted to make me new happier. And that, so my story, begins.
00:59You just leave pizza on the couch? What do you mean I leave pizza on the couch? So good.
01:14You're, you're right. That's probably fine. I mean, did you, like, refrigerate it?
01:19Oh, that's still good. What do you mean that I have refrigerated? Do you have a refrigerator?
01:21Do you not have a refrigerator? I mean, I got it on you because pizza that's a day old.
01:27What do you mean? It's a day old? You think that pizza gone bad? In 24 hours?
01:32Probably. Yeah, like, bread goes pale within, like, a day. Like, I feel like...
01:36Like, salmonella? Sure, like, salmonella.
01:39Come on, bro. What do you mean?
01:42The government trying to tell you salmonella is something bad,
01:45so you can't eat food after a day, so you start wasting it.
01:48That's how people go hungry.
01:51I'm not falling for that.
01:52Is this, like, a bit you're doing? What's going on, man?
01:54Name one person you know that's God or salmonella.
