00:00When we can't afford to pay our bills, like our house bills and stuff, you never know
00:08what will happen in your life.
00:10We first met them 14 years ago in Illinois and Iowa.
00:14Johnny, Kaylee, Brittany, and their families.
00:19The experience of growing up poor as seen through their eyes.
00:22We lost our whole house and everything.
00:25Life is going to be hard because there's hardly going to be any jobs left when rich people
00:30will be poor.
00:31Like you, you might get poor in the last few months.
00:34You never know.
00:35From childhood.
00:36If I don't have the opportunity to show somebody to play football, football won't exist.
00:41Then as teenagers.
00:42No matter what I go through, I'll still want to try and try and try to be better.
00:47I know people have it worse than me and I wish no one had that.
00:51Everybody knows the American dream.
00:53Oh, go to college and go live your life.
00:55That's all I want to do.
00:56And now, young adults.
00:58The last thing that I want is for my kids to worry about what we're going to have for
01:01dinner or worry about where we're going to stay.
01:03Being born poor can start off rough.
01:05It can be a difficult process because you have limited opportunities.
01:08But them opportunities will come.
01:10Oh, nice job, man.
01:11What can I do today to make myself better for tomorrow?
01:14Life has lessons.
01:15People make mistakes.
01:16You know, life goes on no matter what happens.
01:18Changing the cycle that you were born into is very hard.
01:22I'm still learning to this day.
01:24It's a long, lengthy process.
