00:15Korean-Swedish Academy of Sciences has today decided to report...

00:20And it's really kind of amazing right now that people can build quantum computers,

00:24and they're powerful enough to do kind of academic computing,

00:29uh, run simple algorithms,

00:32kind of understand how it works and how to program it.

00:41One of the issues here is that as people are building the technology,

00:47since it's more of a, you know, private enterprise,

00:50you tend not to want to share what you learn.

00:54I think part of the problem here is

00:57the scientists are very optimistic,

01:01but also a little bit naive about how hard it is to build a system,

01:06and all the engineering that has to be done,

01:09and all the different technologies you need to do to get it to work.

01:13It's really fantastic for young people that there's a lot of job opportunities to build quantum.

01:30I mean, this was kind of unheard of when I was, I was, um, being a student.

01:36And this is really nice.

01:37So now, all I can say is, if you're interested in it, join a good group,

01:42and generally people get their PhD,

01:45but we have non-PhDs that contribute greatly to our company.

01:49So, um, you know, one, one particular person has a background in computer science,

01:55does all our networking,

01:57and contributes fantastically to it with his own skills,

02:00skills that we don't have.
