00:13:16a tutti.
00:13:18this is like explorer day for you sir today we have your columbus day proclamation for monday
00:13:25which we're signing a bit early christopher columbus obviously discovered the new world in 1492
00:13:31he was a great italian explorer he sailed his three ships the nina the pinta and the santa maria
00:13:38across the atlantic ocean and landed in what's today the caribbean but this is a particularly
00:13:43important holiday for Italian-Americans who celebrate the legacy of Christopher Columbus
00:13:49and the innovation and explorer zeal that he represented.
00:13:54In other words, we're calling it Columbus Day.
00:14:03That was the press that broke out in applause.
00:14:09Can you believe that?
00:14:11I've never seen that happen before.
00:14:12The press actually broke out in applause.
00:14:16Good.
00:14:17Columbus Day.
00:14:18We're back.
00:14:19Columbus Day, we're back, Italians.
00:14:22We love the Italians.
00:14:23Okay.
00:14:24Thank you, Mr. President.
00:14:25Thank you.
00:14:25Great.
00:14:25Thank you very much.
00:14:27Have a good one, sir.
00:14:27So we covered Scandinavia and Italy.
00:14:30Not bad.
00:14:31Now for the rest of the world.
00:14:34So I want to thank everybody for being here.
00:14:37As you know, last night we reached a momentous breakthrough in the Middle East,
00:14:40something that people said was never going to be done.
00:14:44We ended the war in Gaza and really, on a much bigger basis, created peace.
00:14:50And I think it's going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace.
00:14:53Peace in the Middle East.
00:14:55We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages, and they should be released on Monday
00:15:00or Tuesday.
00:15:00Getting them is a complicated process.
00:15:04I'd rather not tell you what they have to do to get them.
00:15:07They're places you don't want to be.
00:15:10But we are getting the hostages back on Tuesday, Monday or Tuesday.
00:15:17And that will be a day of joy.
00:15:19I'm going to try and make a trip over.
00:15:21We're going to try and get over there.
00:15:23And we're working on the timing, the exact timing.
00:15:27We're going to go to Egypt, where we'll have a signing, an additional signing.
00:15:32We've already had a signing representing me.
00:15:35But we're going to have an official signing.
00:15:38And the amazing thing is all of the countries over there,
00:15:42from Qatar to Saudi Arabia to UAE, to all of them,
00:15:46I mean, the rich ones, the less than rich ones,
00:15:49they've all come together, something which is amazing, actually.
00:15:53They've all come together for this,
00:15:54and they're really probably the best relationships they've ever had.
00:15:59So it's been really something incredible
00:16:01that nobody thought it was possible to get it done.
00:16:04And very importantly, the hostages are coming back.
00:16:06As you know, they consider them hostages.
00:16:10They talk about them as hostages,
00:16:12but there are approximately 28 dead people,
00:16:16mostly young,
00:16:17mostly men,
00:16:20but, and boys.
00:16:22I mean, boys.
00:16:24The one woman talked about her baby.
00:16:27Her baby is 25 years old, but, you know, to her, it's her baby.
00:16:30And we're bringing them home.
00:16:33We're getting them to, we're getting everything.
00:16:36And to those parents,
00:16:38the dead young man is just as important.
00:16:41As though it were, as though this person were alive,
00:16:45it's amazing.
00:16:45I've never seen anything quite like it.
00:16:47I've been very much involved.
00:16:49I've never seen anything quite like it.
00:16:51But it's, it's really peace in the Middle East.
00:16:54And you remember, October 7th was terrible.
00:16:58But also, from the Hamas standpoint,
00:17:01they probably lost 70,000 people.
00:17:05That's big retribution.
00:17:07That's big retribution.
00:17:08But at some point, that whole, that whole thing has to stop.
00:17:13And we're going to see to it.
00:17:16Gaza is going to be slowly redone.
00:17:20You have tremendous wealth in that part of the world
00:17:23by certain countries.
00:17:24And just a small part of that,
00:17:27what they, what they make will do wonders for, for Gaza.
00:17:32And I think you're going to see some tremendous countries
00:17:36stepping up and putting up a lot of money
00:17:38and taking care of things.
00:17:40But there's tremendous spirit, like I haven't seen.
00:17:43And even the news,
00:17:45I won't call it fake news for this purpose
00:17:47because they really were very fair today,
00:17:50I must tell you, in all cases.
00:17:52But they covered it very well.
00:17:54They covered it very fairly.
00:17:55Everybody loves it.
00:17:56Everybody.
00:17:58People that were never giving us a fair shake,
00:18:01frankly, they, they, they can't even believe it.
00:18:04They're so, they're amazed by it.
00:18:07A lot of people are.
00:18:09But it was, just everything came together.
00:18:13I think the attack was very important on, on Iran.
00:18:17Because, let's say that didn't happen,
00:18:19they'd probably by now have a nuclear weapon,
00:18:22numerous nuclear weapons.
00:18:24And therefore, even if we signed a deal,
00:18:26there'd be a big, dark cloud over it
00:18:28and it wouldn't be the same thing.
00:18:30So, Iran is different.
00:18:32But Iran wants to work on peace now.
00:18:35They've informed us.
00:18:36And they've acknowledged that they are totally in favor of this deal.
00:18:39They think it's a great thing.
00:18:41So, we appreciate that.
00:18:42And we'll work with Iran.
00:18:44As you know, we have major sanctions on Iran
00:18:46and lots of other things.
00:18:47We'd like to see them be able to rebuild their country, too.
00:18:51But they can't have a nuclear weapon.
00:18:54So, I want to express my tremendous gratitude
00:18:56to the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey
00:18:59for helping us reach this incredible day
00:19:02and for being there.
00:19:04They were there with us all the way.
00:19:05And, of course, as you know,
00:19:07Saudi Arabia and Jordan and so many.
00:19:10I will tell you, President Erdogan was personally involved
00:19:14in dealing with Hamas and some of the others.
00:19:18He's been great.
00:19:19They've all been really amazing.
00:19:22Indonesia has been amazing.
00:19:24Indonesia has been fantastic.
00:19:27The whole world has come together for this.
00:19:29People that didn't get along.
00:19:32People that didn't like each other.
00:19:34Neighboring countries that, frankly, didn't like each other.
00:19:36But now, it's just a moment in time.
00:19:40So, we look forward to welcoming the hostages,
00:19:44like you can't believe, home to their families.
00:19:47And that will take place early next week.
00:19:50We hope Monday or Tuesday.
00:19:52And all Americans should be proud of the role
00:19:54that our country is playing
00:19:55in bringing this terrible conflict to an end.
00:19:59And I want to thank some of the people.
00:20:01JD, you were fantastic.
00:20:02And Pete, you were great.
00:20:04Marco was fantastic.
00:20:05I mean, some of you were very much involved.
00:20:08I'm looking around.
00:20:09Some, indirectly, I think almost everybody
00:20:11in this room was involved.
00:20:13Susie, I want to thank you very much.
00:20:14You were incredible.
00:20:15You've done an incredible job.
00:20:18So, and yes, John, what you've done was invaluable.
00:20:24CIA, John Ratcliffe, and he's done an incredible job.
00:20:28So, I want to thank you all.
00:20:29And if I'm missing anybody, I apologize.
00:20:31But you've been amazing.
00:20:33And then you have Steve Witkoff, who works so hard.
00:20:38And you remember, we settled seven.
00:20:41This is number eight.
00:20:42We settled seven wars, or major conflicts, but wars.
00:20:47And this is number eight.
00:20:49And the one that I thought would be maybe the quickest of all
00:20:51would be Russia, Ukraine.
00:20:53And I think that's going to happen, too.
00:20:55But in the meantime, they're losing about 7,000 people a week.
00:20:58And that seems pretty bad, losing mostly soldiers, young soldiers.
00:21:03They go out to war, and they're getting killed.
00:21:06And while it doesn't affect us in a lot of ways,
00:21:10we've got a big ocean in between,
00:21:13you don't want to see that happen.
00:21:15It was a big mistake.
00:21:16That war should have never happened.
00:21:18It would have never happened if I were President.
00:21:19So we're here this morning for a Cabinet meeting,
00:21:23as my administration continues to deliver for the American people,
00:21:27despite the radical-left lunatics that shut down our government.
00:21:31You have Democrats that they've lost their way.
00:21:34They have no leadership.
00:21:35We don't even know who to deal with over there.
00:21:36At least they know who to deal with.
00:21:38We have no idea who we're dealing with over there.
00:21:42It's like they have no idea what they're doing.
00:21:44Republicans have voted repeatedly to pass a clean, nonpartisan bill
00:21:49to reopen government at the same funding levels.
00:21:52We're not going to do anything only good for health care.
00:21:55We're really, I think, become the party of good health care.
00:22:00And they keep using health care as a cudgel.
00:22:03They want to try and get everyone thinking about health care.
00:22:06We're the ones that are saving health care.
00:22:08In fact, one of the things we're doing
00:22:09is we're going to be reducing the cost of medicines
00:22:11by 100%, 200%, 300%, 500%, and even more than that.
00:22:17Because, as you know, we're in the process of favored nations right now.
00:22:21We've exercised a clause because we were subsidizing the entire world.
00:22:26The entire world pays a fraction of what the United States has been paying.
00:22:32And we've already, numerous, Pfizer and other companies have already signed.
00:22:38And other countries are a bigger problem
00:22:43because they've been getting a subsidized rate.
00:22:46We've been paying for years.
00:22:48This has gone on for 30 years.
00:22:50We've been reducing the rate of drugs for other countries
00:22:53because we've been paying much more than we're supposed to.
00:22:55And they used all sorts of ideas like research and development.
00:23:01So I said, what about Germany?
00:23:03What about these other countries?
00:23:04Aren't they paying?
00:23:04No, no, we have to pay research and development.
00:23:07It was all nonsense.
00:23:08And I didn't, I just, I couldn't listen to it anymore.
00:23:12So it's a very radical, big, tough shift.
00:23:17Very tough.
00:23:17We've got a lot of things going on there.
00:23:19But, you know, and you probably heard me say this.
00:23:22In my first term, I think it was my third year,
00:23:26we reduced drugs from one,
00:23:28from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
00:23:31And I was so proud of it.
00:23:32I actually had a news conference to announce it.
00:23:35And it was one-eighth of one percent.
00:23:38Think of that.
00:23:38It was barely a reduction.
00:23:40But it's the first time in 28 years
00:23:42that there was a reduction in drug prices for the year.
00:23:45So from the beginning to the end, it was one-eighth of one percent.
00:23:49And I was so proud of myself.
00:23:51I did something that nobody else could do.
00:23:54But when I started to think about it, I said,
00:23:56it doesn't make sense.
00:23:58And then I'm starting to look at numbers where a pill
00:24:01or a treatment or some pharmaceutical product
00:24:05is selling in Europe for ten percent of what we pay for
00:24:11in New York City or in any one of our places,
00:24:14in cities, states.
00:24:16And then I see people leaving for other countries
00:24:21to go buy their pharmaceuticals,
00:24:23where they'd make journeys to various other countries,
00:24:25including Europe, where they got the best bargains of all.
00:24:29And I put an end to it.
00:24:30It's over.
00:24:31And now we're, you know, in major, I guess, disputes.
00:24:36But we're winning the disputes by a lot.
00:24:38With the countries, a couple of countries said,
00:24:39we won't do this.
00:24:41I said, well, it's unfair that we're paying ten percent.
00:24:44And, you know, you're paying just a fraction
00:24:48of what we're paying for the same product
00:24:50made in the same plant.
00:24:52And they said, well, we just, we're not going to do it.
00:24:55I said, that's okay.
00:24:56You don't have to do it.
00:24:57But I'm going to put a tariff of nine percent
00:25:00or seven percent or whatever the amount of money is.
00:25:03And I'm going to put a tariff on your country
00:25:05for the amount of money that you're taking advantage of us for.
00:25:09No, no, no, you can't.
00:25:10I said, yeah, I can do that.
00:25:11I'm going to do that.
00:25:12And they would immediately agree.
00:25:15And I'd make the tariff substantially more
00:25:17than the number we're talking about.
00:25:19And they would immediately agree.
00:25:20So we have the consent, I think, Bobby,
00:25:22of every country, essentially.
00:25:24They know that if they don't do it,
00:25:25we're going to put a tariff on for double the price
00:25:27and then they're going to do it.
00:25:29So we never had that before.
00:25:30You never had anybody in here
00:25:31that knew what the hell they were doing, I'll be honest.
00:25:34It really makes me angry because for years and years,
00:25:38and this started many years ago,
00:25:41and basically we subsidized the world.
00:25:42So this is going to have a huge positive impact
00:25:44on Medicare, Medicaid, even Social Security.
00:25:47But anything where there's pharmaceuticals, drugs involved,
00:25:53it's going to have a tremendous impact.
00:25:56So we're going to get drug reductions
00:25:59of 100 percent.
00:26:00I told you one-eighth of 1 percent
00:26:02that I was proud of myself.
00:26:04Now you're going to get 100 percent, 150 percent,
00:26:07200, 300, 400, 500 percent.
00:26:10You're going to get the biggest drug reductions
00:26:12that you've ever seen.
00:26:14And they're already, I guess,
00:26:15they're starting to kick in.
00:26:16But we've made deals with numerous companies where —
00:26:20and we're going for the full board.
00:26:22We want whatever the price is.
00:26:24So that would mean that the world price —
00:26:26because the world is bigger than the United States,
00:26:28a lot more people —
00:26:29but the world price will go up a little bit,
00:26:32and our price will come down a lot.
00:26:34So if a pill sells for $10 in London and $100 here,
00:26:41the pill will go to $20 in London and $20 for us.
00:26:45It's pretty simple.
00:26:47And that is a number that nobody can even fathom.
00:26:53It's a little like tariffs.
00:26:54Nobody knew how big they were.
00:26:56Nobody knew until they started seeing the trillions
00:26:58of dollars that have come in.
00:26:59I don't know why they didn't understand it.
00:27:03It's something they should have understood.
00:27:05We were taken advantage of for years with tariffs.
00:27:08And now — I don't want to say we're taking advantage,
00:27:12but we've become a very strong country because of the money that's coming in.
00:27:18Republicans have voted repeatedly to pass a clean, nonpartisan bill to reopen our government.
00:27:24And remember, at the same funding levels, both parties have supported in the past.
00:27:29So the radical Democrats have chosen to put the economy to our country.
00:27:33We have the best economy we've ever had.
00:27:35We had the best economy in my first term,
00:27:38but we have an economy that's blowing it away.
00:27:41And we have the Democrats that are trying to obstruct.
00:27:45They don't want to have a good economy.
00:27:47I don't think they want to have a good country.
00:27:49That's why they try and stop our law enforcement from
00:27:53doing what we did in Washington, D.C.
00:27:54Washington, D.C.
00:27:55We have a great, safe, beautiful capital right now.
00:28:00Beautiful.
00:28:01It's so safe.
00:28:01You can walk down the street.
00:28:03Numerous people standing before me were mugged.
00:28:06And you're not going to get mugged anymore.
00:28:09We have a safe capital, one of the safest.
00:28:11We took it from one of the most unsafe places
00:28:14to one of the most safe places in the country.
00:28:17And we also beautified it.
00:28:19And we're in the process of doing even more so.
00:28:21So we're very proud of our capital again.
00:28:23We were embarrassed by our capital.
00:28:25A lot of people being killed
00:28:26that come from Iowa, Indiana, Florida,
00:28:29that come up and they end up getting shot.
00:28:32They're not getting shot.
00:28:33We moved out 1,700 people approximately, right?
00:28:37Approximately 1,700 hardened criminals, career criminals.
00:28:40They moved them out.
00:28:42So Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries
00:28:46and the congressional Democrats are holding
00:28:49the entire federal government hostage.
00:28:50I will tell you, a lot of Democrats want to get this thing
00:28:53open too.
00:28:54They do.
00:28:54They're calling us and they want to,
00:28:56they just want to get it open.
00:28:58And all we're doing is saying,
00:29:01just play the same thing until we get it straight.
00:29:04And they, they don't know how to go about it.
00:29:07I mean, it's, and the problem is,
00:29:09we really don't know who the hell is leading the Democrats.
00:29:11You have this AOC.
00:29:12I don't know her at all, but I watched her the other day.
00:29:16She said, well, if they want, they could come to my office.
00:29:20That's not leadership, you know.
00:29:23The only one, the challenger actually was Nancy Pelosi.
00:29:25Nancy, Nancy's not looking too good.
00:29:28I don't know what, what happened to Nancy.
00:29:31But she's not looking great.
00:29:33But she, she was the only one.
00:29:34I give her credit.
00:29:35She was the only one to challenge her.
00:29:36But AOC said that they can come to her office
00:29:40and negotiate, the Republicans.
00:29:42And it was saying, oh, I didn't know she was in leadership,
00:29:45but she's taking Hakim Jeffries place.
00:29:47And Schumer is afraid that she's going to run against him.
00:29:50And right now he, I don't know, it can change.
00:29:53Life is crazy, right?
00:29:54But right now he can't beat,
00:29:57I don't think he can beat anybody.
00:29:58So he'll be, he'll lose in a primary.
00:30:00I would say he'll retire before he,
00:30:03before he loses in a primary.
00:30:04So I think Schumer is going to retire
00:30:06because he can't beat anybody.
00:30:08His polls are so bad.
00:30:09Meanwhile, the Democrat shutdown is causing pain and suffering
00:30:13for hardworking Americans, including our military,
00:30:15our air traffic controllers and impoverished mothers,
00:30:19people with young children,
00:30:20people that have to live not the greatest of lives.
00:30:25But we're doing so many tax cuts.
00:30:28We've cut their taxes.
00:30:29The great, big, beautiful bill,
00:30:31we've cut their taxes at levels that nobody's ever seen.
00:30:34I mean, no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security,
00:30:38no tax on overtime.
00:30:40It's been a great thing for a lot of people.
00:30:41They're doing, they're doing great.
00:30:43Despite all of the damage that it's caused,
00:30:46the shutdown has been, you know, pretty damaging.
00:30:49I mean, it's not yet because it's early,
00:30:52but it gets a little bit worse as it goes along.
00:30:56And we'll be making cuts that will be permanent.
00:30:58And we're only going to cut Democrat programs,
00:31:00I hate to tell you.
00:31:01I guess that makes sense.
00:31:02But we're only cutting Democrat programs.
00:31:06But we're going to start that.
00:31:07And we have Russell, who can talk to you about it
00:31:10if he wants to, but we're,
00:31:11we'll be cutting some very popular Democrat programs
00:31:16that aren't popular with Republicans, frankly,
00:31:18because that's the way it works.
00:31:19They wanted to do this.
00:31:21So we'll give them a little taste of their own medicine.
00:31:23But Chuck Schumer proclaimed this morning
00:31:25that every day gets better for them.
00:31:28No, every day it's actually getting worse for them.
00:31:31And they're having a rebellion in the Democrat Party
00:31:34because they want to stop.
00:31:35And if you saw all of Schumer's,
00:31:37I watched last night like 10 different times over the years.
00:31:40He said, you can't shut down government.
00:31:42You can't shut down.
00:31:43And now he's the one that shut it down.
00:31:45So this is a confession that he's acting
00:31:48not to serve the people,
00:31:50but to serve the partisan interests of his party.
00:31:53And I don't think he's serving them well
00:31:54because they're way down.
00:31:55Look, they just lost an election in a landslide.
00:31:58You know, it was interesting.
00:31:59I watched Kamala, who's a sad figure.
00:32:02I watched her the other day saying,
00:32:04the election was very close.
00:32:06I said, no, the election was a landslide.
00:32:08We won the popular vote by millions.
00:32:11We won the Electoral College by,
00:32:14I think, 312 or 315 to 220-something.
00:32:18But there's another one that we won that's probably —
00:32:21that's why when you see the maps,
00:32:23the maps are completely red.
00:32:24It's counties.
00:32:25The counties we won at 2,505 to 525.
00:32:34So 2,500 to 525.
00:32:39That's called one of the greatest,
00:32:42biggest landslides in history.
00:32:45And that's one that people are using now as a primary.
00:32:48But literally, when you see it colored in,
00:32:50the entire country is red representing Republicans.
00:32:55So, you know, they go around.
00:32:57They just lie.
00:32:57They just lie.
00:32:59And everything is a big lie with them.
00:33:01While the other side — and the other thing I don't understand is —
00:33:05Christie, I looked at crime numbers in Chicago.
00:33:08They're through the roof.
00:33:09And I have a governor who stands up every day and tells us
00:33:12how wonderful Chicago is.
00:33:13I don't — it's just a lie.
00:33:15It's like a con job.
00:33:16It's like Gavin Newsom.
00:33:18He says how well he's doing in California.
00:33:20And they're doing terribly.
00:33:23Population is getting smaller.
00:33:24People are leaving.
00:33:26And other people are coming in.
00:33:28And, you know, I wouldn't say it's an even trade.
00:33:32While the other side is focused on playing games,
00:33:35the Trump administration is focused on creating jobs,
00:33:37bringing down prices.
00:33:39And we've really brought them down a lot.
00:33:40That's the other thing.
00:33:41We're bringing down prices a lot.
00:33:44We're bringing down grocery prices.
00:33:45But the big thing is energy.
00:33:47When you bring down energy, everything comes down.
00:33:49And the energy prices are way down.
00:33:51I see we're down to about $61 now — a barrel.
00:33:56And what we're — gasoline is going to be —
00:33:58I think gasoline is going to be below $2 at some point
00:34:02in the pretty near future.
00:34:03It's very low — much lower than it was under Sleepy Joe.
00:34:07And we're restoring law and order in our country.
00:34:11We're restoring it here, but we're restoring it right now.
00:34:13We're in Memphis.
00:34:14We're going to Chicago.
00:34:15We're going to other cities.
00:34:17Many governors are asking us to, including Democrats,
00:34:21are trying to ask — I don't know what the big problem is.
00:34:24If I were a Democrat governor, I'd be saying,
00:34:27whatever you can do to get crime down, I'll take anybody.
00:34:32You can bring them in any — I don't care who it is.
00:34:34A lot of people said that.
00:34:36They interviewed women — these beautiful women in Chicago,
00:34:40black women with a MAGA hat, a red hat.
00:34:43They said, we don't care who he brings in here,
00:34:46but this place is really dangerous.
00:34:48We just want crime to stop.
00:34:49It's true.
00:34:50They don't care.
00:34:50You know, they don't differentiate between the National Guard and the Marines.
00:34:55They don't care.
00:34:56They'll take anybody.
00:34:57And that's the way it is.
00:34:58I mean, they want to see — they want what we did in D.C.
00:35:01They want to happen to them.
00:35:03And it's happening in Memphis already.
00:35:04It's doing — I see in less than a week,
00:35:07the numbers are really good.
00:35:10And it'll be great.
00:35:11And we'll fix that.
00:35:12We'll go to various other places.
00:35:14And we're going to be stopping crime in our — in our cities.
00:35:17And that's a great thing.
00:35:18And we won't get credit for it, but it's a great thing.
00:35:20We've launched a historic campaign to take back our nation from the gangs and the street criminals,
00:35:25violent repeat offenders, illegal alien lawbreakers, domestic extremists,
00:35:31and savage, bloodthirsty cartels.
00:35:35And very little, by the way, is coming in by water, in case you haven't known.
00:35:38The drugs aren't coming in by water.
00:35:40In fact, we can't even find any boats in the water anymore.
00:35:43We had boats — we were like a subway train with — loaded up with drugs.
00:35:47Every boat — every single boat that you see getting taken out kills 25,000 Americans.
00:35:54Think of that, because it's, you know, it's pretty tough stuff.
00:35:57But it kills 25,000 Americans.
00:35:59So when you hear that, it's no longer tough.
00:36:02But here in Washington, we've deployed federal law enforcement and national guard
00:36:06to restore public safety.
00:36:07And we're working to replicate that in numerous places all over the country.
00:36:13And we have a very powerful military.
00:36:15We have a very powerful national guard.
00:36:17I want to thank the governor of Texas, who has been, as usual, great.
00:36:22Governor Abbott.
00:36:22He gave us 400 troops without even a question.
00:36:26And we have other governors likewise doing what has to be done,
00:36:30because they know we have to confront crime.
00:36:32We're directly confronting the sinister threat of left-wing domestic terrorism and violence,
00:36:39including the terrorist group Antifa.
00:36:41You saw that yesterday.
00:36:42We had a news conference.
00:36:43Antifa is out of control in Portland and other places,
00:36:47but mostly Portland in the case of Antifa.
00:36:50And we had people that were really badly affected by them.
00:36:53It was terrible.
00:36:53So, one of those things.
00:36:55But we're knocking the hell out of them.
00:36:57And we're looking for the people that are funding them.
00:36:59And those people are going to be just as guilty as the people that
00:37:02smacked people over the head with a baseball bat.
00:37:05And I'd like now to ask Attorney General Bondi and
00:37:09Secretary Noem to discuss this a little bit and tell where we are.
00:37:13And then we'll go around the room.
00:37:15We'll go quickly.
00:37:16We're going to go quickly, if we can, because we have a lot of things to do,
00:37:19including I won't be spending that much time here, because I'll be leaving fairly soon
00:37:24for the Middle East.
00:37:26And I'm very honored to be involved with that, I'll tell you.
00:37:30It's a great thing.
00:37:30Great thing for our country.
00:37:32People are so happy about it.
00:37:33I've never experienced anything quite like it.
00:37:36I've never seen such universal praise for being able to do something.
00:37:42It's something that nobody thought was possible.
00:37:45And we're going to end up having peace in the Middle East.
00:37:47Who would have thought?
00:37:48So, Pam, could you start?
00:37:50And then, Christy, please.
00:37:51Ms. Sure, President Trump.
00:37:52And despite the Democrats' shutdown of our government,
00:37:55our law enforcement officers are out there working without paychecks,
00:37:59around the clock to keep and make America safe.
00:38:03Secretary Hegseth and I were recently in Memphis.
00:38:06We had 1,100 law enforcement officers in one room with us.
00:38:11The Memphis PD, they were the happiest to see us.
00:38:14Don't you think, Secretary Hegseth, of anyone?
00:38:16Right.
00:38:17We had ATF, DEA, FBI, U.S. Marshals.
00:38:22I think, I'm not sure if our park police were there.
00:38:25We had Treasury, Secretary Besson, and of course,
00:38:27we had Secretary Noem's Homeland Security all working together with the Guard.
00:38:33They were so happy to have us there.
00:38:35We've been making arrests left and right so far.
00:38:37We made 562 arrests and seized 144 illegal guns just in the short time we've been in Memphis.
00:38:46And many of these people are career criminals.
00:38:49And when you take them out of a place, your crime rate just goes down.
00:38:54These people commit crimes every single day.
00:38:56They're sick.
00:38:57And we're taking them out.
00:38:58In some cases, we're bringing them back to their countries where
00:39:02Biden allowed with the stupid open borders that we had in our country to come in.
00:39:07But they're being brought back to other places.
00:39:09Or they're being put in jail.
00:39:10But they're career criminals.
00:39:12President Trump, last night alone, we made 91 arrests, 19 firearms off the streets.
00:39:18And one was a warrant for a homicide.
00:39:21And four sex offenders who had active warrants.
00:39:25One was a sex offender on a child.
00:39:29Everything we did in Memphis was worth it, in my opinion, for that one arrest.
00:39:33Think about that.
00:39:34We got a child rapist off the streets.
00:39:36But yet we've made 562 arrests and still going strong in Memphis.
00:39:41Just what we did in D.C.
00:39:42But it's because it's all of us.
00:39:44It's a team working for you to make America safe all together.
00:39:48Round the clock.
00:39:49Thank you very much.
00:39:49Thank you, Pam.
00:39:50You're doing a great job.
00:39:51And it's amazing that we're not getting cooperation from Democrats.
00:39:55It's like it's a new issue.
00:39:57You know, we have all the old issues of the wall and the border and all of the things.
00:40:01And men playing in women's sports who — they still want that.
00:40:06Transgender for everybody.
00:40:07All these issues are so crazy.
00:40:09But we have a new one.
00:40:09It's called crime.
00:40:11We stop crime.
00:40:13And they allow crime.
00:40:14They want crime.
00:40:15They — it doesn't make sense.
00:40:18I think it's as ridiculous as the other things that we talk about all the time.
00:40:23But I've added it onto our list — a five-letter word called crime.
00:40:27We stop it.
00:40:28And they actually incite it.
00:40:31It's crazy.
00:40:32You would think they'd want them.
00:40:33You'd think they'd want Christie and Pam and all of the people.
00:40:38If we needed the military, Pete will be there.
00:40:40We've got a massive military.
00:40:41We have the best numbers we've ever had for recruitment.
00:40:44We have a lot of people now.
00:40:45We have a — we have people that can't get into the — in a great economy,
00:40:50they want to be soldiers again.
00:40:51A year ago, they didn't want to even think about it.
00:40:53Same thing as with police and firemen — everything.
00:40:56They want to — they want to join.
00:40:57They're proud of our country again.
00:40:59Christie, go ahead, please.
00:41:00Well, sir, thank you for your leadership and for
00:41:05deploying all of government to help us keep our country safe.
00:41:08You have talked extensively about how threatened our ICE officers are,
00:41:12but all of our law enforcement out there — and we saw the shooting in Dallas at that facility.
00:41:18So we're hardening all of our buildings and making sure that we have more security measures,
00:41:23snipers on the roof, people to protect our law enforcement while they're out there on the streets.
00:41:26But what I'm also doing, sir, is — and with your authority — is we're purchasing more buildings
00:41:33in Chicago to operate out of.
00:41:35We're going to not back off.
00:41:36In fact, we're doubling down, and we're going to be in more parts of Chicago in response to the
00:41:41people there.
00:41:42And then I was there a few days ago and looked at some facilities that we can deploy more law
00:41:47enforcement out of, because what they're trying to do with these riots and violence is distract
00:41:52us and keep us from going after those murderers and rapists that are out in the streets.
00:41:56And then I was in Portland, went out and back on Tuesday, and met with the governor, met with the
00:42:01chief of police and the superintendent of the highway patrol.
00:42:06They are all lying and disingenuous and dishonest people, because as soon as you leave the room,
00:42:15then they make the exact opposite response.
00:42:19So we're looking at new facilities to purchase.
00:42:21They're in Portland, too, and we're going to double down.
00:42:23And I told them if they didn't meet our demands for safety and security on the streets and work
00:42:29with us, then we were going to bring in more federal law enforcement.
00:42:33So I want to thank Pete and the Department of War for all their help.
00:42:37They've been fantastic.
00:42:38But while we fight litigation and work with Pam on that, we're going to send more of our resources
00:42:43and men and women out there to keep everybody safe.
00:42:45So no worries.
00:42:47What we see in D.C. and what we see in Memphis for benefits for people in the safety and security,
00:42:53we'll see that in Chicago and Portland.
00:42:55The numbers in Memphis, it's only a week, but the numbers have been amazing, I understand.
00:42:59The crime numbers are way down.
00:43:01Fantastic.
00:43:02And it shows what a partnership can be between local law enforcement and the federal government.
00:43:07And if we have to do it the hard way in Portland and Chicago, we will.
00:43:10But the people demand the safety.
00:43:13My lawyers are in court right now, as we speak, for you, arguing in Chicago and Portland
00:43:19to keep them safe, to bring in the Guard.
00:43:22The government doesn't want it there, but we do.
00:43:24We're going to keep their citizens safe, thanks.
00:43:26The President.
00:43:26The President.
00:43:27The President.
00:43:27The President.
00:43:28The President.
00:43:29The President.
00:43:29The President.
00:43:30The President.
00:43:31I don't understand why Pritzker is trying to protect people that are really bad people.
00:43:33They're more scared of the anarchists that are on the street
00:43:36and the politics of it than they are of doing the right thing.
00:43:41The President.
00:43:42I think they're afraid.
00:43:43They don't tell us.
00:43:43But I think Pritzker is threatened by people.
00:43:45Because there's no other reason that this could be possible that they don't want
00:43:50to have a safe Chicago.
00:43:51And we can solve the problem very quickly.
00:43:53And we're doing that anyway, regardless of if he doesn't want it or if he does want it,
00:43:57we're doing it anyway.
00:43:58So, make sure.
00:43:59I asked the mayor about himself.
00:44:01He said that Portland was perfectly safe, a beautiful city, no problems.
00:44:06And I said, well, why did you clear the streets for me today then and build out
00:44:09a four-block radius to make sure I could get in and out of here.
00:44:12And these people on the street screaming death to ice.
00:44:15There's graffiti that says Molotovs melt ice.
00:44:19We have the guillotines.
00:44:20We're going to use them.
00:44:21The things that…
00:44:22The President.
00:44:23The President.
00:44:24It's just like anarchists.
00:44:24And it's really different than a lot of the others.
00:44:26This is a sick situation.
00:44:29But those are anarchists.
00:44:30Those are people that want to overthrow government.
00:44:32They're really degenerates.
00:44:35And we're finding out who is supplying all of those beautiful signs and everything else.
00:44:39Well Scott's been fantastic.
00:44:41His team finding the financial networks is great.
00:44:43That's what he gives everybody to know.
00:44:45The President.
00:44:46That's easy for Scott.
00:44:47Right?
00:44:48We've got a great team, sir.
00:44:50The President.
00:44:51Come on, we go to Marco.
00:44:53You can talk a little bit about what's going on.
00:44:55And, well, yeah, Mr. President, you know,
00:44:59I don't know if the one day, perhaps the entire story
00:45:02will be told about the events of yesterday,
00:45:04but suffice it to say it's not an exaggeration
00:45:07that none of it would have been possible
00:45:08without the president of the United States being involved.
00:45:10It really began with your trip to the Middle East
00:45:22where these relationships were forged with partners
00:45:24in the region, personal relationships,
00:45:26close relationships that created the foundation
00:45:29where all of this was possible,
00:45:31where I think this really took a turn.
00:45:32Remember, a month ago, no one thought this was possible.
00:45:35Where it really took a turn about a month ago,
00:45:37less than a couple of weeks ago,
00:45:38is when we were at the United Nations.
00:45:40and you convened in historic meetings,
00:45:42not simply of Arab countries,
00:45:43but of Muslim-majority countries from around the world,
00:45:45including Indonesia was there, Pakistan was there,
00:45:48and created this coalition behind this plan.
00:45:52Then on that following Monday,
00:45:53you met with the Prime Minister of Israel here,
00:45:56and that plan was presented.
00:45:58And then, of course, our great negotiating team
00:46:01followed up on it.
00:46:02In the interim, again, perhaps the stories will be told,
00:46:06perhaps they will never be told,
00:46:07the president had some extraordinary phone calls and meetings
00:46:13that required a high degree of intensity and commitment
00:46:19and made this happen.
00:46:21And I think what's important to understand is that yesterday,
00:46:23what happened was really a human story.
00:46:25There's a geopolitical aspect to it.
00:46:27There's no doubt about it.
00:46:27It creates the conditions for Gaza to one day be a normal place again
00:46:32and people to have a better life and Israelis to be safe.
00:46:35But yesterday was a human story.
00:46:37And because of the work you put in,
00:46:38and honestly, there is no, not only is there no other leader in the world
00:46:41that could have put this together, Mr. President,
00:46:43but frankly, I don't know of any American president in the modern era
00:46:46that could have made this possible.
00:46:48Because of the actions you have taken unrelated to this
00:46:51and because of who you are and what you've done and how you're viewed.
00:46:54And this weekend, because of that, at some point very soon,
00:46:58we are going to see 20 living human beings emerge from the darkness
00:47:01into the light for the first time in two years.
00:47:04And that is because not only were you used the credibility
00:47:07and the power and the prestige of this office
00:47:10and the relationships you created,
00:47:11and you committed yourself to making it happen.
00:47:13And I think it will go down as a historic moment in the history of our country
00:47:17and something our country should be very proud of,
00:47:20that we have a president that's committed to not just peace,
00:47:23but to the human aspect of reuniting these families.
00:47:26My last point on this is just a couple days ago,
00:47:28Secretary Lutnik hosted us all, many of us, at the Kennedy Center.
00:47:33And we had these families, we've interacted with them for so many years,
00:47:36for two years now, and the stories are heartbreaking,
00:47:39both whose families are alive and those who are deceased as well,
00:47:42who want their relatives back so that they can complete the process of grieving.
00:47:47And it was, we had all hoped that perhaps that was the day
00:47:51that we would have an announcement for them on the anniversary of the 7th.
00:47:53But I know you were able to speak to some of those families last night.
00:47:56And I just hope the whole nation understands what,
00:48:00how incredibly proud they should be of their president and of their country
00:48:03for the role that they've played.
00:48:04And I don't want to let this moment pass, Mr. President,
00:48:06without also noting the incredible work of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
00:48:12They're an incredible team working together,
00:48:15facing some substantial impediments to even being there this weekend and doing it.
00:48:20So if I, let me just leave it at that.
00:48:22And they've done a great job on your behalf, Mr. President,
00:48:25and they deserve a tremendous amount of credit.
00:48:26But thank you for what you've done for the world, for the world.
00:48:28Thank you very much, Mungo. I appreciate it.
00:48:31I think because we have a very busy day with all that's going on,
00:48:34what we'll do is maybe just a few of you,
00:48:37raise your hand if you'd like to say something that,
00:48:40and, uh, don't talk too long.
00:48:43He's doing such a great job, so good that he could talk all day.
00:48:48That's the problem, right?
00:48:50But, you know, and what we'll do is just take a few hands
00:48:53and then we'll go back to getting peace done.
00:48:56Okay, we'll go a little bit quicker.
00:48:57We'll take a few questions from the press.
00:48:59Go ahead, please.
00:49:00President Trump, I just want to double down on what Marco was sharing.
00:49:03It's such a remarkable accomplishment.
00:49:07Agree that no other president could have done this.
00:49:09But what set the groundwork for you able to do that,
00:49:12when you took office on January 20th,
00:49:14you made a 180 degree turn in our military strength with Pete's leadership.
00:49:20You were the master class in peace through strength.
00:49:23So militarily, we've completely turned around.
00:49:26We've demonstrated that through execution against Iran and others.
00:49:30We have force.
00:49:31We want to end wars, but we'll use power if we have to.
00:49:34And then secondarily, peace through strength is also the prosperity,
00:49:38and having the strongest economy and being willing to wield the power of a tariff
00:49:43in addition to the military power to reorder the globe.
00:49:46Those two things that you're standing on, both economic power and military power,
00:49:50allowed these negotiations to go forward.
00:49:53And I think, as you've described, the importance of these economic negotiations and all of the trade deals.
00:49:59But that also begins with another 180 degree return, and that was the 180 degree return on energy.
00:50:04You have used energy diplomacy to bring prosperity to the American people,
00:50:08and you've used it to bring peace abroad.
00:50:10The combination of those three things have been remarkable, and now we're seeing the remarkable result.
00:50:14And we've got one more that I know you want to end with Russia and Ukraine.
00:50:18Energy is going to play a key role in that.
00:50:19And now, with this historic agreement, we're in a position working with the Middle East to also end the Russian-Ukraine conflict.
00:50:27So, again, congratulations.
00:50:28The President Biden thank you very much.
00:50:29I appreciate it.
00:50:31Maybe I'll go to you for a second.
00:50:33You can just cap out what he said about the military, how well we're doing, and how big it is, and how strong it is.
00:50:39Mr. President, you're exactly right.
00:50:42At the War Department, you don't get peace without strength, and our job is to be the strength part of the equation and deliver that when necessary,
00:50:50as you demonstrated with your order of midnight hammer, and the entire world saw.
00:50:54And I just want to echo what Marco said.
00:50:58It is a personal honor to be able to witness the way you lead and negotiate.
00:51:04I wish people had a full understanding of what that looks like.
00:51:09That historic nature, a lot of us vets, you know, the Vice President, Tulsi, Lee, Doug, probably after decades of war,
00:51:18and the chaos that was unleashed through reckless and foolish American policies, never thought this kind of peace would be possible.
00:51:25Yet, with your strength, with your ability to wield trade negotiations, personal relationships,
00:51:31to open up that opportunity is truly historic on the world stage.
00:51:36And it creates a whole number of other cascading effects.
00:51:38And watching Marco and the Vice President and Steve across, and Jared, the CIA director,
00:51:46everybody come together to make it happen.
00:51:48You've formed a phenomenal team, Mr. President.
00:51:50And at the War Department, our job is to make sure if and when there's question about American commitment, the whole world knows.
00:51:57We've got the biggest, strongest, most lethal, and most ready War Department in the world, which is true.
00:52:04Which is why you've seen, we saw record recruitment in 2025, Mr. President.
00:52:08The first two weeks of 2026 already blows that out.
00:52:11FY 2026 already blows it out of the water.
00:52:14In fact, re-enlistment has already met its year-long goal in the Marine Corps in 2026.
00:52:19You can't, there's no other way to create that kind of love and enthusiasm than with your leadership, sir.
00:52:28And it is an honor to work with Pam and with Christy in the cities across the country to make sure American citizens and law enforcement are protected with our National Guard.
00:52:37That's a core mission.
00:52:38And last thing, Mr. President, on the southwest border, the first group that rotated in to lock down that border to zero crossings is now rotating out with a new border medal, the southwest border medal, it's actually called the Mexican border medal, revived from 1918, that we'll be pinning on their check.
00:52:54So, thank you for renaming the department and we're trying to live up to it every day.
00:52:58Thank you, sir.
00:52:59I mean, think of this, we have record numbers of recruitment.
00:53:03One year ago, there were stories, front page stories, that we couldn't get anybody to join the Army.
00:53:08Navy, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, my beautiful, I call it our beautiful Space Force.
00:53:15I love our Space Force.
00:53:16It's turned out to be very important.
00:53:18But we couldn't get anybody to join.
00:53:20Nobody wanted to join, including our police and fire.
00:53:23They didn't want to join anything.
00:53:25Recruitment was embarrassing.
00:53:28We couldn't get anybody.
00:53:29And now we have, we're brimming.
00:53:31Now it's, and they're getting in based on merit now.
00:53:35A soldier is a soldier.
00:53:36But they come in now based on merit, not based on woke stuff that anybody can qualify.
00:53:43You have to qualify for jobs.
00:53:45You have to qualify for certain types of jobs.
00:53:48And it's amazing.
00:53:50So, we were embarrassed a year ago.
00:53:52I think of it, a little bit more than a year ago.
00:53:55A year ago.
00:53:55I think it stopped on November 5th.
00:53:57I think it really started.
00:53:58This all started on November 5th, the election, election day.
00:54:02But now everybody wants to be, and we have an overabundance.
00:54:05And maybe we should raise it a little bit.
00:54:07I don't know.
00:54:08I like that idea, sir.
00:54:09But we could raise it.
00:54:10But we have so many people who want to join.
00:54:12And they're proud of our country again.
00:54:15J.D., could I ask you to say a few words?
00:54:17Yes, sir.
00:54:18So, just a couple of things.
00:54:19First of all, congratulations on yesterday.
00:54:20It was a big day.
00:54:21To Marco, to Susie, to the entire team.
00:54:23But in particular, viewing it from this perspective, where for months the fake news media attacked
00:54:30you, attacked the entire team, attacked your approach.
00:54:32You know, the definition of insanity is to do the same thing again and again, expecting
00:54:37a different result.
00:54:38The reason we're here is because the President actually charted a different course with a different
00:54:41team.
00:54:42You've invested a lot of authority in Steve Wyckoff in particular, and that's why we're
00:54:47here.
00:54:48It's because you did something different.
00:54:49And I think it's important to recognize that.
00:54:51I also think the President, you know, Marco mentioned the President's personal touch being
00:54:54a big part of this.
00:54:55You know, one thing I would say is obviously the President of the United States, a New York
00:54:59real estate billionaire, one of the most famous New Yorkers in the world, has a lot
00:55:03of interaction with a lot of people who are very pro-Israel.
00:55:06I think that was an important set of experiences and life experiences that he brought to the table.
00:55:11He also, of course, knew one of the most famous Palestinians in the world, Chuck Schumer.
00:55:14And I think without that background of knowledge, it would have been impossible to get us to
00:55:19this moment.
00:55:20The second thing I would say, just on Chuck Schumer, the President mentioned this, that
00:55:26Chuck Schumer said this has been very good for us this morning about the shutdown.
00:55:31One of the things that we talked about before all the media came in, and that all of us
00:55:34are going to work on for the rest of the day, we've been working on for days, is how to
00:55:37make the shutdown as painless as possible on the American people.
00:55:41So while Chuck Schumer brags about this being good, and I think the President is right, it's
00:55:44not good for him politically as much as he might think that it is, it's causing real consequences
00:55:49for the American people.
00:55:51There's a low-income food program, the WIC program, that my mom actually used when I was
00:55:54a baby.
00:55:55That program is about to be underfunded and it's about to get cut off because Chuck Schumer won't
00:56:01open the government.
00:56:02We have troops.
00:56:03The Secretary of War mentioned how well we're doing on recruitment.
00:56:06We're trying to figure out how to pay our troops because Chuck Schumer is shutting down the
00:56:10U.S. government.
00:56:11There are veterans benefits that are going to suffer.
00:56:13There are Americans that are going to suffer because Chuck Schumer refuses to do his job.
00:56:17So while we're all celebrating this incredible success that we've had on the world stage,
00:56:22the country could be doing so much better if Chuck Schumer did his job and opened the government.
00:56:29Every single Republican except for Rand Paul has voted to open the government.
00:56:33A few moderate Democrats, to their credit, have voted with us to open the government.
00:56:37We just need five more Democrats to come to their senses and let the people's government
00:56:42serve the American people.
00:56:44I hope that they'll do that.
00:56:45Thank you very much.
00:56:46Chris.
00:56:47Yeah.
00:56:48To follow up on that point, Mr. President, the Democrat or Schumer shutdown did not begin
00:56:53eight or nine days ago.
00:56:54It began eight or nine months ago with your inauguration.
00:56:57For the first time in American history, every Senate confirmed appointee who are our deputies
00:57:04to run our department, every one of them has been filibustered.
00:57:07One of the critical parts of my department is the National Nuclear Security Administration.
00:57:12It maintains, manufactures our nuclear weapons and our engines for nuclear submarines and
00:57:18nuclear aircraft carriers.
00:57:20We are a key supplier to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
00:57:25They filibustered, the Democrats filibustered the leader, the administrator of the National
00:57:30Nuclear Security Administration.
00:57:31And would not let him come into my department until the Republicans two weeks ago changed
00:57:37the Senate rules so they could confirm them and we could have a leader.
00:57:41They filibustered the leadership, now they're filibustering the funding.
00:57:44In the next six, seven days, we're going to run out of funding and the retooling of our
00:57:49nuclear stockpile, the ultimate guarantor of our sovereignty, is going to be underfunded
00:57:54and we're going to have to slow down and creep to a crawl these efforts.
00:57:58Just incredibly irresponsible.
00:58:00For Schumer to worry about his own re-election and not the 340 million Americans that count
00:58:05on the efforts of our military and all of our departments.
00:58:09It's truly offensive and we need to bring it to an end as soon as possible.
00:58:12Let's open the government back up.
00:58:13The President.
00:58:14And you're doing a great job.
00:58:15Thank you very much.
00:58:16Bobby, did you want to say something?
00:58:18You've got a lot of things happening.
00:58:19A lot of very positive things, actually.
00:58:22Mr. President, I'm glad you're getting bipartisan accolades on the Mid-East Peace Agreement.
00:58:29You should also get bipartisan accolades on the MFN agreement.
00:58:32It is a historic agreement that's going to benefit every hard-working American.
00:58:37It's going to lower the price of drugs for every American.
00:58:42By the time this administration is over, we will have 95% of the drugs in this country.
00:58:51We will be the lowest price in the world.
00:58:54It immediately begins to affect Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, the other government programs.
00:58:59I remember when I went through the confirmation process and the major, the principal preoccupation
00:59:07of the Democrats during that process was whether I would continue the IRA negotiations on drugs.
00:59:14The Democrats negotiated 10 drugs.
00:59:16I'm supposed to negotiate every year of 15.
00:59:20The 10 that they negotiated, they claimed to get a 22% reduction, but it was a lie.
00:59:27It was 22% under the list price, which was actually higher than the price we were getting.
00:59:33Medicaid, Medicare ended up paying more for those drugs than they were paying beforehand.
00:59:38They only got a benefit on one drug.
00:59:41One was tied.
00:59:43Eight of them were lower, so they should be applauding what we're doing now.
00:59:48We're doing something that every administration, Democrat and Republican, has been saying that
00:59:53it was going to do for decades, and you got it done because you understood the power of the tariffs
00:59:59that we had leverage over these companies, and you did it in a way which you asked us to do,
01:00:05to negotiate in a way that was not going to stifle innovation, that was going to make sure
01:00:11that those companies could bring their production home, and they are doing that.
01:00:16And it was a profound success.
01:00:19It will affect every American for 100 years, and you should be getting bipartisan accolades on that.
01:00:26I'll say one other thing about Tylenol, only because of this.
01:00:30This morning before I came in here, somebody showed me a TikTok video of a pregnant woman,
01:00:37eight months pregnant.
01:00:38She is an associate professor at the Columbia Medical School, and she is saying F Trump,
01:00:45and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta.
01:00:50And the level of Trump derangement syndrome has now left political landscapes, and it is now in the realm of pathology.
01:01:01And a mother could overwhelm millions of years of maternal instinct to put her baby at risk,
01:01:10and all you have to do is look at the studies which you and I talked about.
01:01:14There are, it's not this positive that causes autism, but it is so suggestive that anybody who takes stuff
01:01:22during pregnancy, unless they have to, is irresponsible.
01:01:27There are 15 rodent studies.
01:01:29Every one of them shows, if you give it to the mother, the babies, and particularly the male babies,
01:01:35have profound neurological and behavioral changes.
01:01:39There is a study from Johns Hopkins on core blood, where they divided women into three categories.
01:01:45those who had the least acetaminophen in their core blood, and those who had the most.
01:01:50The ones with the most had 3.6 times the rate of autism in their children.
01:01:56The middle category had 2.2 times, so it's a dose-related response.
01:02:00And there are dozens of studies that show the countries that use the most have the highest level of autism.
01:02:06Cuba has the highest, the lowest level in the world of acetaminophen use,
01:02:11and it has the lowest autism rate in the world.
01:02:14So this is not this positive.
01:02:16It is not proof.
01:02:17We're doing the studies to make the proof.
01:02:19But in the meantime, the precautionary principle should apply.
01:02:23And any mother who is taking this stuff during pregnancy just to get back at Donald Trump
01:02:30is doing something that is pathological.
01:02:34And we're seeing that across the board.
01:02:35I got a lot of other stuff to talk about, but I know we got a short time here.
01:02:40But thank you, Mr. President.
01:02:41You're making our country healthier again.
01:02:43Thank you, Bobby.
01:02:43Could you just say, for the record, state what the autism was, let's say, 20 years ago and what it is today?
01:02:50In 1970, the largest epidemiological study in history was performed.
01:02:56900,000 kids were looked at.
01:02:59They were looking for autism in Wisconsin children.
01:03:03They looked at every child in Wisconsin who was eight years old.
01:03:06They found an autism rate of 0.7 per 10,000.
01:03:11So almost close to one in 20,000, less than one in 10,000.
01:03:18Today, the autism rates nationally are one in 31, but it's actually much worse than that,
01:03:24because California, which has the best collection system,
01:03:27reports an autism rate of one in every 19 children, one in every 12.5 boys.
01:03:32It's a national security issue.
01:03:35There is nothing more important.
01:03:36And I'm glad.
01:03:37I'm grateful to you, Mr. President, because you know the flack that you take for even talking about this issue.
01:03:44You've shown courage and you've shown leadership.
01:03:47And I can't thank you enough for letting me do this work.
01:03:50Thank you.
01:03:51So, think of that one in 20,000, and now it's one in 12 for boys, one in 18, 19 for girls.
01:04:00So, obviously, there's something that's artificially, I think, induced something,
01:04:06whether it's the vaccines in terms of these massive vaccines that are twice the size of a jar like that,
01:04:14of a glass of water like that, I mean, into a baby's body.
01:04:18And I've suggested get them in doses, get them in, you know, maybe 20 percent, 30 percent,
01:04:26but smaller, not such a big one.
01:04:27I think, you know, that we had certain recommendations.
01:04:30The MMR, take them separately.
01:04:33The measles is already separate now, and it works out much better.
01:04:37But there doesn't seem to be any impact if you take it separately.
01:04:42If you take it as a combination, it's not so great.
01:04:45And some other things, but I would say don't take Tylenol if you're pregnant.
01:04:50And when you're, when the baby is born, don't give it Tylenol.
01:04:55If you can avoid it at all, just don't give it Tylenol.
01:04:57And really, what do you have to lose?
01:05:00You really don't have much to lose.
01:05:02Yeah, go ahead.
01:05:02There's also just, there's many, many other confirmation studies.
01:05:08There's two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism.
01:05:14It's highly likely because they're given Tylenol.
01:05:18Oh, you know, none of this is this positive, but all of it is stuff that we should be paying attention to.
01:05:25But, you know, there's a tremendous amount of proof or evidence, I would say, as a non-doctor,
01:05:31but I've studied this a long time ago.
01:05:33You know, I met Bobby in my office 20 years ago.
01:05:36We were talking about the same thing 20 years ago.
01:05:39And I was a real estate developer, but it bothered me that it seemed to be getting worse.
01:05:44But it's so bad now when you hear these numbers.
01:05:46It's not even really sustainable.
01:05:48I don't know how people do it.
01:05:49But there is some very strong evidence on Tylenol.
01:05:53In fact, at one point, I guess the company gave a warning.
01:05:57They still don't recommend it during pregnancy.
01:06:00That's the weird thing.
01:06:01They're not recommending it.
01:06:02And that's the company itself.
01:06:05So just don't take it.
01:06:08Don't take it.
01:06:09If you're a woman, don't take it.
01:06:11And don't give it to the baby when the baby is born.
01:06:13And I think that's going to have an impact.
01:06:15But I'd also get the shots in smaller doses.
01:06:19There are a few things we gave, a few things that just seemed to be it.
01:06:22I think you'd get that number way back up.
01:06:25Think of it.
01:06:26You have one in 20,000.
01:06:29And now it's just, it's not even believable when you think that 20,000 drops to 12 children.
01:06:40So that's induced by something that's given or taken.
01:06:46And it should be able to be stopped.
01:06:48And you were talking about the Pennsylvania Dutch.
01:06:52You were talking about the Amish, where they don't take any of this stuff.
01:06:57And they have virtually none, right?
01:06:59They have no autism.
01:07:01No autism.
01:07:02So we're doing something very bad.
01:07:04Somebody has been given some bad things.
01:07:07Other countries, by the way, we have, I think, one.
01:07:09We have 82 vaccines that we give simultaneously.
01:07:12And I'm a vaccine believer, by the way.
01:07:13I believe in the polio vaccine.
01:07:15I believe in a lot of vaccines.
01:07:19But when you give 82 vaccines in a shot to a little baby that hasn't even formed yet,
01:07:25it's a lot of vaccines.
01:07:27And in Japan, they give a much smaller number.
01:07:30In Germany, they give a much smaller, like 28 vaccines.
01:07:33That's a lot, too.
01:07:35But 28 is a lot different than 82.
01:07:37So — but I would say, on the Tylenol, don't take it.
01:07:40And that will be — I think it's going to be a big factor.
01:07:44I think it'll be — I think it'll be a very good result.
01:07:47And I hope we're going to be able to see that result in the not-too-distant future.
01:07:50Because certainly, people have heard us loud and clear.
01:07:53That's why I bring it up again.
01:07:54That's why I asked you to talk about it.
01:07:57Because this is a horrible thing.
01:08:00And if you don't take it, I mean, you have to tough it through sometimes.
01:08:04There are other things you can do, but you have to tough it out.
01:08:07It's easy for me to say.
01:08:09But I think you're going to see numbers that will be so —
01:08:12it'll be so significantly improved.
01:08:14And maybe — maybe fully improved.
01:08:16I mean, there's — there's something there.
01:08:18There's something going on.
01:08:19And we have to address it.
01:08:21And so I'm addressing it the best I can as a non-doctor.
01:08:24But I'm a man of common sense.
01:08:26Okay. Any other questions?
01:08:28The Press.
01:08:28The Press.
01:08:29The Press.
01:08:30The Press.
01:08:30The Press.
01:08:31The Press.
01:08:31The Press.
01:08:32The Press.
01:08:32The Press.
01:08:32The Press.
01:08:34The Press.
01:08:34The Press.
01:08:35The Press.
01:08:36You're going to ask your question.
01:08:36What's your question?
01:08:37What are you going to ask for this peace deal that you managed to achieve in the Middle East?
01:08:37First of all, your opinion on that.
01:08:39And I was wondering about your trip to the Middle East.
01:08:40If you can tell us if you were considering to speak at the Knesset of the Israeli parliament.
01:08:46The Press.
01:08:46Well, they asked me to speak at the Knesset.
01:08:48And I'll — you know, I've agreed to.
01:08:50If they — if they would like me to, I will do it.
01:08:53It's the first time a President has ever done that.
01:08:56So that makes it very interesting.
01:08:57Right?
01:08:58Yeah.
01:08:58Ma, sì, so I will do it if they want me to.
01:09:02They have asked me to do that. Thank you.
01:09:04La famiglia of hostages are out in the streets in Israel,
01:09:07dancing and crying tears of joy.
01:09:08The President is all dancing in the streets.
01:09:09Right now, they're dancing in the streets.
01:09:11They're so happy. Everybody is happy.
01:09:14They're dancing in the streets of Arab countries,
01:09:18Muslim countries. I've never seen anything like it.
01:09:22Everybody is happy. It's been really amazing.
01:09:25Thank you.
01:09:26The Press, President Trump, on the international
01:09:27peacekeeping force that's going to deploy to Gaza soon.
01:09:30Do you expect that Pakistan, Turkey, other countries
01:09:33to contribute forces, has that become firmed up?
01:09:36And also, the shutdown, it seems like in the House
01:09:40there's a majority support for a temporary extension
01:09:42of the Obamacare subsidies,
01:09:44perhaps minus the funds for illegal immigrants.
01:09:47Is that how you see the deal to end the shutdown happening?
01:09:50The President Trump I see the deal just getting extended
01:09:53as we continue to talk.
01:09:54But we're willing to pay because we're paying.
01:09:57You know, it's very simple. We're paying.
01:09:59And the Democrats are the ones that caused this problem.
01:10:01And it's a big problem for them.
01:10:03And they have a lot of break in their ranks.
01:10:05But so I see that, you know, I think that'll get worked out.
01:10:10But we want to get back before we do this.
01:10:13We don't want to have a gun held to our head.
01:10:15We don't like that.
01:10:16And the public doesn't like it either.
01:10:17So we want to get back.
01:10:19And I think it's going to work out.
01:10:21I think it's going to work out very well.
01:10:23It's something that shouldn't have happened.
01:10:24This was supposed to take place before the election.
01:10:27You know, this was supposed to take place on September 28th
01:10:31before the election.
01:10:32We shouldn't even be talking about this right now.
01:10:34This is actually something that shouldn't have even happened.
01:10:37Yeah, please.
01:10:37The Pressure President, looking ahead,
01:10:39what guarantees Hamas disarms
01:10:41and that Israel doesn't resume bombing once a hostage is bombed?
01:10:43The President Trump Well, the first thing we're doing
01:10:45is getting our hostages back. Okay?
01:10:47And that's what people wanted more than anything else.
01:10:49They wanted these hostages back that have lived in hell
01:10:53like nobody has ever even dreamt possible.
01:10:57And after that, we'll see.
01:10:59But they've agreed to things.
01:11:01And I think it's going to move along pretty well.
01:11:05The Pressure President, what is phase two?
01:11:06The President Trump Well, I'm not going to talk about that
01:11:08because you sort of know what phase two is.
01:11:10But we will — there will be disarming.
01:11:13There will be pullbacks.
01:11:14There will be a lot of things that are happening.
01:11:15You know, I gave you a whole list of 22 different things
01:11:19that will have — will take place.
01:11:21And I think it'll take place.
01:11:22And I think you're going to end up with peace in the Middle East.
01:11:25But we have to get our hostages back.
01:11:27And we weren't going to do it at the end.
01:11:28We're going to do it at the beginning.
01:11:30We said, we want them at the beginning.
01:11:31We're not doing — you know, we got the hostages back.
01:11:34We did, as a group, with Steve and Jared and Marco and me and all of us.
01:11:40We got the hostages back.
01:11:41We got many of them back.
01:11:44Many, unfortunately, were dead.
01:11:46But we got many back that are now living with their families,
01:11:51with their parents in many cases,
01:11:53and with their husbands, families, wives.
01:11:57Many of them, they celebrate all over.
01:11:59They're the ones that are celebrating the loudest.
01:12:02They're all over.
01:12:02There are a lot of them that we got out.
01:12:06But the last 20 — and I always said the last ones
01:12:08are going to be the most difficult.
01:12:09But it's been — it's been a very big deal getting the hostages out.
01:12:15But the rest is going to take place, too.
01:12:17And can you promise Palestinians they will be able to stay?
01:12:19The President Trump
01:12:21Well, they know exactly what we're doing.
01:12:23We're going to create something where people can live.
01:12:26You can't live right now in Gaza.
01:12:28Every — you know, the place is a — it's a horrible situation.
01:12:32Nobody has ever seen anything like it.
01:12:34So, yeah, we're going to create better conditions for people.
01:12:36One, yeah, please.
01:12:37The Press, Mr. President, excuse me.
01:12:39What kind of security guarantees is the United States
01:12:41going to make more Gaza?
01:12:43The President Trump Well, we're going to work with
01:12:44very wealthy countries that love people, frankly.
01:12:49I know them very well.
01:12:50They love people, but they love Arab people,
01:12:52and they love Muslims, and they love — they love —
01:12:55I think right now, they love everybody.
01:12:57And they're immensely wealthy,
01:12:59and they're going to be involved in putting up money.
01:13:02And for them, it's a small amount of money.
01:13:04For somebody else, it's a large amount of money.
01:13:06But, you know, these are the wealthiest countries in the world,
01:13:09and they'll be very much involved in making it —
01:13:12making it as good as possible.
01:13:13The Press, Mr. President, what's your take now
01:13:14on a two-state solution, sir?
01:13:16Just to follow up on that.
01:13:17The President Trump On what?
01:13:17The Press, Mr. President, what is your view now
01:13:18on a two-state solution?
01:13:20The President Trump I don't have a view.
01:13:21I'm going to go with what they agreed to.
01:13:24The Press, Mr. President, given that there are some
01:13:25health provisions for material in this agreement,
01:13:29are you at all concerned that Bibi Nanyang
01:13:31may not continue in his post and be the post?
01:13:34That Bibi may go a little bit out of whack.
01:13:39The Press, Mr. President, look, that's politics.
01:13:43It could be. I don't know.
01:13:44I think he's very popular right now.
01:13:46He's much more popular today than he was five days ago,
01:13:49I can tell you.
01:13:51Right now, I think maybe people shouldn't run against him.
01:13:54Five days ago, it might not have been a bad idea.
01:13:56No, Bibi has become — this has been a very good thing.
01:14:00And I don't think he did it for that reason, okay?
01:14:03But I think, just looking as an analyst would look at this,
01:14:07I think it's been — I think Bibi should be very popular right now.
01:14:10Yeah, please.
01:14:12The Press, Mr. President, what will happen if Hamas
01:14:13says that it cannot locate or was not able to find
01:14:17all of the deceased hostages' bodies within the time?
01:14:20The President Trump Well, we'll have to see.
01:14:20I think that's going to be — it's largely been answered.
01:14:24We know where most of them are.
01:14:29Actually, the bodies are a bigger problem,
01:14:35because some of the bodies are going to be
01:14:36a little bit hard to find.
01:14:38It's a terrible thing to discuss, even.
01:14:40But you understand, we're all people.
01:14:43We're grownups.
01:14:43We understand life.
01:14:45Nobody can understand this, though,
01:14:47because this could have taken place.
01:14:48But we have the hostages, for the most part.
01:14:52And so I don't think it's going to be overly big.
01:14:56The situation with the bodies, you know, they say 28.
01:15:01Some are going to be a little bit hard to find.
01:15:05But we're going to do the best we can.
01:15:06Yeah, please, behind you.
01:15:07The Press, Mr. President, sorry.
01:15:08The Press, Mr. President, yeah, behind you.
01:15:09The Press, Mr. President, please.
01:15:10The Press, Mr. President, thank you, sir.
01:15:11Regarding Jared Kushner's role in the negotiations,
01:15:14can you explain a little bit about why he came on at the last minute?
01:15:17And then, in regards to the WIFT program
01:15:19that the Vice President mentioned,
01:15:20do you know how the funding that you promised
01:15:22through the tariff revenue will actually go through the communities?
01:15:25Because there's reports that WIFT providers
01:15:26are actually saying he goes down to date.
01:15:29The President, well, okay, let me just answer to Jared.
01:15:31So, Jared's a very smart guy.
01:15:33He did the Abraham Accords, as some people say,
01:15:38the Abraham Accords, which I love the way that sounds.
01:15:41But he did the Abraham Accords.
01:15:43It was a great thing.
01:15:44Four big countries joined.
01:15:48If I were President, if the election would have been
01:15:52a correct election, which it wasn't,
01:15:55you'd have every country in there.
01:15:57Maybe even Iran would have been in there, frankly.
01:15:59But you'd have every country in.
01:16:01Now, by the way, that's going to be filled up rather quickly.
01:16:04People want to join the Abraham Accords.
01:16:08And I put Jared there because he's a very smart person.
01:16:12And he knows the region, knows the people,
01:16:13knows a lot of the players.
01:16:15And the combination of him and Steve Witkoff
01:16:18and Marco and Cooper, who, as I hear,
01:16:23has been fantastic, and others that were involved.
01:16:27JD was very much involved.
01:16:29I mean, we had a very smart group of people working.
01:16:31This was — we had a lot of different players.
01:16:34Different countries and very diverse countries,
01:16:37very different from each other.
01:16:39They had certain things in common,
01:16:41but they had a lot of things — mostly things
01:16:43that were not at all common to their countries.
01:16:46So, we had a very smart group of people.
01:16:50These are high-IQ people, okay?
01:16:52You know, I talk about how many low-IQ people
01:16:54we have in our government.
01:16:56We got some real low ones, but some shockingly low.
01:16:59But these are very high-IQ people,
01:17:01and that's what we want.
01:17:03I like high-IQ people.
01:17:04Yeah.
01:17:04The Press, can I ask you about the China?
01:17:07You're meeting with President Xi.
01:17:09The Chinese have now set to put in new export controls
01:17:11on rare minerals, and they've stopped buying
01:17:14soybeans from the U.S.
01:17:15What do you hope to get out of that meeting now
01:17:17with President Xi?
01:17:18The President Xi's office?
01:17:18Well, we'll see.
01:17:19I mean, I just heard this a little while ago
01:17:21before we came in, so I haven't been briefed on it.
01:17:25The export — I mean, look, we have the ultimate export.
01:17:29We have — we have import, and we have export.
01:17:34We import from China massive amounts, and, you know,
01:17:37maybe we'll have to stop doing that.
01:17:39But I don't know exactly what it is.
01:17:41Neither do you, neither does anybody.
01:17:43It's a little bit soon.
01:17:44I just heard about it.
01:17:45So Scott and Howard will figure that out,
01:17:48and I'm sure we'll be able to handle it.
01:17:51The Press, can I ask you about the soybeans?
01:17:52What is the plan to help farmers?
01:17:54Is it direct checks?
01:17:54Is it tax?
01:17:55Have you sorted that out yet?
01:17:56Well, what happens with soybeans is we're going to see
01:18:00more and more, I think, opening up.
01:18:02And part of the reason that we'll be discussing —
01:18:03he's got things that he wants to discuss with me,
01:18:06and I have things that I want to discuss with him.
01:18:08And one of the things is soybeans.
01:18:09I had a great deal with China,
01:18:11where they would buy $50 billion worth of our farm product
01:18:15and manufacturing and other things, but farm product.
01:18:18And it was going along well.
01:18:20Then when the election turned out to be a rigged election
01:18:23and we had the wrong guy get in there,
01:18:25he didn't do anything about it.
01:18:27I used to call up President Xi every two weeks,
01:18:29or I'd call up people in China and say,
01:18:33you've got to keep going.
01:18:33You're not buying the amount that you agreed to.
01:18:35And this went on for, you know,
01:18:37ever since we signed the agreement.
01:18:38It was a great agreement.
01:18:40So they used to do $15 billion,
01:18:42and I got it up to $50 billion — $50 billion.
01:18:45And it was great.
01:18:47Then when Biden got in,
01:18:48they just never adhered to the agreement.
01:18:52And nobody in Biden's group, as you can imagine,
01:18:54did anything about it.
01:18:55So it just sat there for four years,
01:18:58and they didn't adhere to the agreement.
01:19:00And we — you know, it's hard to go back
01:19:03after four years of nobody calling them.
01:19:06But I used to call them every two weeks.
01:19:08I'd say, you know, you're a little low.
01:19:10Or I appreciate it.
01:19:11But oftentimes, I'd say, thank you very much.
01:19:13You are totally adhering to the agreement.
01:19:16But we had an agreement that would buy $50 billion
01:19:19worth of our product, mostly farm product.
01:19:22and the farm — you remember I said to the farmers,
01:19:24buy larger tractors and more land.
01:19:26And that's exactly what happened.
01:19:27They did well.
01:19:28But we do suffer.
01:19:30I'd like you to discuss that maybe for a second, Brooke.
01:19:32Sure.
01:19:33Very quickly, by the way.
01:19:34Yes, sir.
01:19:35But would you just talk about how Biden let us down?
01:19:40Biden — every single thing, every problem the farmer has
01:19:44is because Biden didn't do anything for four years.
01:19:46Go ahead.
01:19:47No, I think that's right.
01:19:48This President has been unequivocal in his support
01:19:50of the farmers.
01:19:50First of all, in Term 1, we worked on it so hard
01:19:54and opened up markets, but — especially this term.
01:19:57but here's what everyone has to understand.
01:19:58The farm economy is in a very uncertain time.
01:20:03But that isn't because of the current trade negotiations,
01:20:06although certainly the China part is part of that.
01:20:09But we inherited a slew of issues.
01:20:12First of all, as the President said,
01:20:14when we left Trump 1, we had an agriculture trade surplus.
01:20:18When we came back for Trump 2, it was a $50 billion ag deficit.
01:20:23That isn't everything.
01:20:24That's just agriculture.
01:20:25The second part is the cost of inputs for our farmers increased
01:20:28on average between 30 and 38 percent.
01:20:31But that includes fertilizer.
01:20:33It includes fuel.
01:20:34It includes interest rates.
01:20:36It includes labor.
01:20:37All of this came about under Joe Biden,
01:20:39a 47 percent increase in the cost of labor that now Secretary
01:20:43Chavez-Durimer and Noam and I are working on.
01:20:46Fuel is coming down.
01:20:48Thank you.
01:20:48Interest rates, thankfully, are coming down to 73 percent increase
01:20:52in interest rates for our farmers.
01:20:54They couldn't get loans to make sure that they could move forward.
01:20:58So that's all really, really important.
01:20:59And I think we have to realize what the President's commitment is,
01:21:02is this, that we are moving into an era of rural prosperity,
01:21:07of a golden age for our farmers in rural America.
01:21:10The trade renegotiations and the trade realignment that Jameson and
01:21:14Scott and Howard have led with the President's leadership is unlike
01:21:17anything that's happened in the history of our country.
01:21:19And those that will benefit the most are the original Americans,
01:21:23our farmers and our ranchers.
01:21:25The President has committed, if we need a bridge,
01:21:27he has talked about that to get us from the Biden years to the new Trump era.
01:21:31That's what we're working on every day.
01:21:33We've got to get the government reopened so that we can move forward on that.
01:21:37And once we do, we'll be able to move out a significant program
01:21:42to help our farmers long-term.
01:21:44We have to change this hamster wheel of government.
01:21:47We've got to ensure that the farmers have the market to sell.
01:21:50And it's a national security issue and on-shoring a lot of the food as well.
01:21:54So, I'm sorry. Thank you, Mr. President.
01:21:55The President, thank you.
01:21:56Thank you, everybody.
01:21:57I think, I think that's enough.
01:21:58Thank you, Fred.
01:21:59Thank you, Fred.
01:22:00Let's go.
01:22:00Thank you, guys.
01:22:01The President, the country is doing very well.
