00:46I'm going to take you outside of the Gladiator Arena to see the girl behind Jet.

00:51All the things that make Jet who and what she is.

01:03Some of the breaks weren't so glamorous.

01:22Ken Warwick, the associate producer, tells me that when he and Nigel Lithgow, the producer, first saw Jet,

01:28they immediately knew the look was right for what they wanted.

01:30But invariably, it's Murphy's law that the people who look right can't perform, and vice versa.

01:36And the rest, as they say, was history.

01:38The audiences immediately took her to their hearts.

01:41And as with all the other Gladiators, the newspapers and magazines couldn't get enough of her.

01:46It was overnight stardom.

01:48The effect on her was obvious.

01:49But what about the rest of her family?

01:52The effect it's had on my life, and I think I could speak here for a part as well,
