Transcript
00:00Big Boss Karnada Season 12 is now facing a bigger drama outside.
00:06The sets of the popular reality show, located at Jollywood Studio in Bidadi, near Bengaluru,
00:11was sealed by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board on October 7, 2025, over serious environmental violations.
00:18Officials said that the studio was discharging untreated wastewater, dumping solid waste and operating diesel generators without proper permissions.
00:25The show's production had also failed to obtain clearances under the Water and Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Acts.
00:31As a result, the KSPCB ordered an immediate halt to shooting, forcing all contestants to vacate the Big Boss house.
00:38Activist groups like Kasturi Karnataka Janapara Vedike had been raising concerns for weeks,
00:43accusing the studio of polluting nearby land and water bodies.
00:46Their pressure finally triggered the board's inspection and the eventual shutdown.
00:50However, what began as an environmental issue soon evolved into a political issue.
00:54The Janata Dal Secular alleged that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar was behind the move, calling it politically motivated.
01:01Kalla's Karnada later issued a brief statement on X, acknowledging the disruption and assuring viewers that the episode was available online.
01:07For now, the contestants have reportedly been relocated to a resort, while the fate of this season remains uncertain.
01:14A show famous for eviction now faces one on its own, this time from the Karnataka Pollution Board.
