00:00This video, oh, I forgot to use the microphone, as if I've never used one before.

00:04We used the green screen and then kept it green for most of the video

00:09because I used to work at Domino, the record label,

00:13and at the time I was working there, my friend and colleague sent me

00:18a new Franz Ferdinand video for me to view it

00:21and he didn't tell me that it wasn't finished yet.

00:23So I watched it and it had green screen throughout the whole video

00:27and I was new to what green screen even was.

00:30I'd not heard of this expression or technology before.

00:33We're talking about what it would look like if you have activities happening

00:37but you don't have the context for those activities.

00:40There was a funny moment with this where there's like a moment in this video later

00:45where there's an enormous balloon that's like three or four feet being like size.

00:51It's an enormous, enormous balloon.

00:53and Nima asked the people from the crew to blow up this balloon

00:59and they blew it up so it was massive

01:01but then they had to try and squeeze it through a doorway

01:04and it popped as it was going through

01:07and Nima was just like,

01:08oh, you guys, so stupid.

01:11Why did you, you could have inflated the balloon on the other side of the door

01:15and he was like, that was the only balloon that we had, it was massive

01:19and now you've exploded it.

01:21This video was for our song called I Feel Better

01:23and it's directed by a friend of ours, Peter Serafinovich.

01:26If maybe people don't know him in France as much,

01:29he was a comedian and a writer on television in the UK

01:33in like a lot of cool kind of more underground old comedy series

01:39and things in the UK.

01:41He's been involved in a lot of kind of interesting projects

01:43and we became kind of friendly with him

01:46and he made a couple of videos with us

01:48and the concept for this was imagining Hot Chip as like a boy band

01:52but then this boy band video goes completely crazy

01:55and kind of this kind of Christ-like alien kind of floats into the scene

02:00and starts to destroy the rest of the boy band with the lasers from his eyes.
