00:00Obviously, this is a two-parter, if you like.

00:02We had Prime Minister Modi over to the United Kingdom earlier this year

00:06to sign the FTA, the free trade agreement that we agreed.

00:11And today is the return leg of that, if you like.

00:13That FTA is really important for us.

00:17It's the biggest deal that we've struck since we left the EU.

00:21And I think it's the biggest deal that India has ever struck.

00:24So hugely important.

00:26I'll tell you how it all started.

00:27Prime Minister Modi and I at the G20 last November sat down

00:30and asked each other one-to-one,

00:32did we really want to press ahead with this?

00:34And if we did, would we knock the barriers out of the way and get on with it?

00:38And six months later, we had the agreement.

00:41We signed it in July.

00:43And it provides huge opportunities.

00:46I've asked the team to implement it as quickly as humanly possible

00:49so that it's in place.

00:51But I think it's already changed the mood music, frankly.

00:53I think the opportunities are already opening up.

00:57The contact has already increased.

00:59Trade with India went up hugely in the last 12 months and climbing.
