00:13His teammate Pierre Gasly is next across the line. Only 11th fastest for Gasly.

00:18Vettel Lap from Tsunoda. What about Sebastian Vettel? He's in the bottom five at the moment

00:22and he's going to be the next driver to cross the line as underneath the bridge he goes now.

00:26Yeah, Vettel and Ricciardo down there in the drop zone as we got yellow flags.

00:32Yeah, and in sectors two and three that could be bad news for those on a flying lap currently.

00:37Sebastian Vettel goes 11th fastest, gets himself out of that bottom five.

00:41Ricciardo is out of qualifying. Only 16th fastest for Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon has crossed the line too

00:49and he too is out of qualifying. A surprise there for Esteban Ocon in the Alpine.

00:55So you can still see a little bit of spray there. Kevin Magnussen 7th fastest. Mick Schumacher 17th fastest.

01:01Now in his F2 Championship winning year qualifying wasn't his strongest point for Mick Schumacher.

01:06Never got in the front row in that particular year. His racing very much took care of business

01:11but he would dearly love to be out of the bottom five here I'm sure. And can he do it?

01:16This is the big conundrum as we reach the end of the first part of qualifying. Mick Schumacher

01:22rides the bumps a little bit. Magnussen crosses the line. Schumacher makes it out of qualifying

01:27and he relegates Valtteri Bottas into the bottom five. Round of applause down in the Haas garage.

01:35Bottas and Ricciardo Ocon and Albon and Latifi. The five that we've lost.

01:40Verstappen from Hamilton by a tenth at the top of the timings.

01:45As we see round the final corner Yuki Tsunoda go sixth fastest on the intermediate tyres.

01:50He needed to go quicker and boy Ted Kravitz did he do so.

01:53Yeah he did. Vettel was very close but he did make it for one last go as you're right.

02:05Fernando Alonso tenth fastest has just gone quickest overall through the middle sector.

02:25for the team he still races for and he goes sixth fastest just ahead of his teammate

03:14Tsunoda by the way was only two tenths slower than Verstappen through the middle part of the lap.

03:19We'll see Verstappen to cross the line. First of the runners to cross the line in this final part of qualifying.

03:25It's a 1.56.9. Well, he did a 1.52.7 as his best time in Q2.

03:31So maybe it might not be too ready for slick tyres yet.

03:35Yuki Tsunoda goes faster with a 1.55.1 on the intermediate tyres.

03:42Tsunoda, Verstappen, Norris, Alonso Sainz and Perez. That's the top six.

03:46Charles Leclerc will be next to cross the line. Lewis Hamilton's finding plenty of pace.

03:50Charles Leclerc goes second fastest overall.

03:52Still Yuki Tsunoda at the top until Lewis Hamilton says,

03:56I quite fancy provisional pole myself and a 1.53.0.

04:01And he suddenly puts a couple of seconds between himself and Yuki Tsunoda.

04:06And Sergio Perez crosses the line. Third fastest for Sergio Perez.

04:13Fernando Alonso has previous pole setter and goes right to the top of the pile.

04:17So can Hamilton snatch back provisional pole once again?

04:20We'll see in a moment with Charles Leclerc next to cross the line.

04:23Now he's on provisional pole. Hamilton to cross the line and provisional pole is his once more.

05:15for the first time in his career here in Singapore.

05:18And did Alonso just tap the wall coming out there at turn 19?

05:27Hamilton has gone quickest through the middle sector.

05:37He's not been on pole in 2022 and he's not going to be on pole tonight.

05:42It is the first top three start currently for Lewis Hamilton,

05:45but he's missed out on pole by five one hundredths of a second.

05:49And this is where he's just looked a little bit trepidation throughout this run.

05:55Clips the kerb, gets out of shape before he hits turn 19.

05:59Almost hits the wall coming out of turn 19.

06:02Might be losing him a bit of time.

06:03Tsunoda goes ahead of Gasly.

06:06Max Verstappen been on the front row here before.

06:10He aborts the lap and it gives Charles Leclerc a pole position.

06:15And Verstappen, on the weekend where he could seal the championship,

06:19will be starting from eighth.
