00:00Hey Thomas, I need you to tell me what's going on.
00:06Hey, are you sick?
00:08Is your head hurt?
00:10Is your tummy hurt?
00:12No.
00:14My heart.
00:17You told me Kat was just your friend.
00:20Rachel says she's your girlfriend.
00:22That's why you were at a house last night, isn't it?
00:25You lied.
00:27You're a liar.
00:29Here's what happened, okay?
00:37I went over there to do some work, and then the power went out.
00:42That's it.
00:44We decided that it was time to tell you that we also, that Kat and I, we have feelings for each other.
00:54Thank you for meeting you on such short notice.
00:57Yeah, no problem.
00:59So, how did your lunch with Gwen go?
01:02Learn anything new?
01:03Actually, I did.
01:05Coming.
01:06Nice stuff.
01:07Jeremy.
01:08What are you doing here?
01:09I needed to see you.
01:10So, Brady called.
01:11He said you got the DNA results.
01:12I needed to see you.
01:14So, Brady called.
01:15He said you got the DNA results.
01:16Tesoro and Tate are not a match.
01:17No, they're not.
01:18But I'm running the test again, just to be sure.
01:19Yeah, he mentioned that, too.
01:20Yeah.
01:21He mentioned that, too.
01:22I'm sure he's hoping they made a mistake.
01:25Well, there's not gonna be.
01:26I oversaw the test myself.
01:27No, I was thinking.
01:28It's the beginning of the film.
01:29It's the beginning of the film.
01:30It's the beginning of the film.
01:32How did you do that?
01:33I was thinking.
01:34What are you doing here?
01:35I was thinking.
01:36I was thinking.
01:37I was thinking.
01:38What are you doing here?
01:39I needed to see you.
01:40Tate are not a match.
01:41No, they're not.
01:42But I'm running the test again, just to be sure.
01:45Yeah, he mentioned that too.
01:47I'm sure he's hoping they made a mistake.
01:51Well, there's not going to be.
01:52I oversaw the test myself.
01:54And I can tell you that the chance of error is zero to none.
01:59I'm so sure we were onto something.
02:02Excuse me.
02:03Is this the...
02:03Hey!
02:04I made it!
02:05I made it!
02:07Oh, so good to see you.
02:08Oh, dear, baby.
02:09It's so good to see you.
02:11It's so good to see you.
02:11Hi!
02:18Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
02:34Kat and I, we did.
02:36We started off as friends.
02:38And then it just, it turned into something more.
02:41What?
02:42When?
02:43I, I mean, I asked you if you liked her like that a few weeks ago.
02:47And you said no.
02:48Yeah, I know.
02:49And I'm, I'm very sorry.
02:51Okay?
02:51I know I should have told you and Charlotte sooner.
02:53I just, I will, I needed to, to be sure that, that how I felt was actually how I felt.
03:01Look, I, and I don't know, why does it seem like you're angry?
03:05I mean, I thought you liked Kat.
03:07Not anymore.
03:09What, because we're dating?
03:11I mean, you like Stephanie.
03:13You know, Stephanie and I dated.
03:14That's because Stephanie wasn't living at Nono's house, pretending to be mom!
03:22So, apparently, Gwen was trapped in the hospital during the blackout.
03:31Trapped?
03:33In the wing that's under construction right now.
03:35Well, what the hell was she doing there?
03:36Well, EJ's hitting her up for a big donation.
03:43And he was giving her a private tour.
03:46Apparently, there's a room, Gwen said it's a drug closet, but it has a electronic security door.
03:54She was in that room when the power outage happened.
03:58She couldn't get the door open.
04:00Oh, okay.
04:02So, Gwen had the pleasure of being locked up with EJ for all those hours.
04:06Well, that's the strange bit.
04:10EJ wasn't there.
04:11She was alone.
04:16Yeah, thank you.
04:17My flight was delayed, so I just came right here from the airport.
04:20You don't need to do that.
04:22We could have rescheduled this interview.
04:23Oh, no, no, no.
04:23I really wanted to hit the ground running, but of course they don't feed you on the plane, so I am starving.
04:27Well, you came to the right place.
04:29Yeah, we can order, and then we can get started.
04:32Thank you so much for doing this.
04:33I could never do this story without you.
04:35Please.
04:37It is a privilege and an honor to be discussing and promoting the Tom Horton Free Clinic.
04:42I don't know.
04:43I was really so touched when Chad asked me to write a tribute to my grandfather.
04:47Well, no one could do it better than you.
04:51Uh, I hope you don't mind me sitting in.
04:53No, of course.
04:54I love it.
04:55I wish Chad could be here, but he couldn't tag along this time.
04:57Oh, that's too bad.
04:58Well, we're always glad to see you, though.
05:01Oh, same, same, same, same.
05:03And I get to see my nephew this time.
05:06I have not seen him in a few years.
05:07Your nephew?
05:09Yeah.
05:09Didn't Julie tell you Jeremy is coming back to Salem?
05:12Hello.
05:14Hello.
05:18You needed to see me?
05:21Why?
05:21I was hoping we could talk.
05:26You could have called.
05:28I wanted to give you these.
05:30As a peace offering.
05:33How did you find me?
05:35Julie gave me your address.
05:38But I just moved into this apartment.
05:41You used to live across the hallway, right?
05:42I was in town for a job during the other day, and I stopped by to see you.
05:48I saw you with the guy whom I assumed is your boyfriend, walking toward this apartment.
05:53So you assumed I live here?
05:55Yeah, I did.
05:59Any chance could come in?
06:00No.
06:03And that guy is my boyfriend, and he'll be back soon.
06:08Also, I have a ton of work to do.
06:09It won't take up much of your time.
06:11I promise.
06:12Just a few minutes, I'm gone.
06:16Please.
06:18Who told you that Cat pretended to be your mother?
06:42Rachel.
06:45Right.
06:45But why would Cat do that?
06:49And why would you believe she was mom?
06:53She doesn't look anything like her.
06:55It's very complicated.
07:00So Grandma and Grandpa can't forgive her for something she did.
07:05Is this what you were talking about?
07:06Yes.
07:15But how could you forgive her?
07:17And why would you want someone so mean to be your girlfriend?
07:20So let me get this straight.
07:28EJ is trying to impress Gwen, so she'll cut him a big check.
07:32But in the middle of him giving her a tour of his swanky new hospital wing, he just leaves?
07:39He said he needed to run some kind of errand.
07:43I don't want to ask him any questions, but I'm obviously as suspicious as you are.
07:48Yeah.
07:48Must have been an important errand.
07:50He could have cut the tour short.
07:53Instead, he leaves Gwen in what's supposed to be a highly secure area.
07:58I don't know.
08:00I mean, EJ doesn't strike me as the type of guy who's super cool with the notion of having outsiders in his inner sanctum.
08:09Something doesn't add up.
08:12Yeah.
08:14There's definitely something going on.
08:18All right.
08:18Let me just make sure that we're recording here.
08:21Okay?
08:22Okay.
08:23Ready?
08:24Yes.
08:25Okay.
08:26Okay, good.
08:26So you were saying about the Waterfront Clinic.
08:30Well, you know, Tom was really one of the biggest supporters of my work there.
08:35And if ever I wanted to do something more, he really made it seem possible, even if I felt, you know, insecure about the whole thing.
08:43He made me feel like I could do anything I set my mind to.
08:48And I think it was kind of his belief in me that helped me believe in myself.
08:53And, you know, he is the one actually who encouraged me to be a doctor.
08:56I mean, of course, it took me many years to take his advice, but I finally did do it.
09:02And it was one of the best decisions you ever made.
09:04Oh, I'm sorry, Ed.
09:06I didn't mean to jump in.
09:07No, no, I want you to.
09:08I would love to hear your impressions of my grandfather, too.
09:11Oh.
09:12Well, okay.
09:13I have to say, Tom Horton was one of the best men I ever knew.
09:19He was kind, generous, and so wise.
09:23And the hospital was lucky to have him running the show for all those years.
09:29And now, they're lucky to have you.
09:34Well, Tom left enormous shoes to fill.
09:37And you have filled them, sweetness.
09:40Well, he's not too biased.
09:41I may be biased, but I'm telling the truth.
09:43And Jennifer knows it, too.
09:46It takes a special person to be chief of staff of a busy hospital with all the stress and pressure and responsibility.
09:54Uh-huh.
09:54And you handled it beautifully, day in and day out.
10:01Uh, I will say that it helps that I always feel like Tom was right by my side.
10:06And I pray for his guidance and his strength when I need it.
10:12Especially in times like this.
10:18So?
10:21Say whatever it is you came to say.
10:22First off, congrats on the book.
10:28The book?
10:30One Stormy Night.
10:31You are Anastasia Sands, right?
10:35Why would you think that?
10:37Oh, I don't know.
10:39The sexy in the cockpit at 20,000 feet.
10:43Come on, I'm sure tons of characters in romance novels join the Mile High Club.
10:48But how many characters have a purple horseshoe keyring they tap on the dash for luck?
10:52I can see how that detail might have seemed slightly familiar.
11:00More than slightly.
11:01I gotta admit, when I read that scene, made me think that maybe I was still on your mind.
11:12You're not.
11:13I'm in a serious relationship now, Jeremy.
11:18Yeah.
11:19I get that.
11:21And like I said, the flowers are just a peace offering, that's it.
11:24I have so many regrets about the way I treated you.
11:40I honestly wonder all the time I could have blown something that, so badly, was the most important thing in my life.
11:47Fool I was.
11:55So I came to see you because, well, I figured sooner or later you'd find out I was back in town.
12:01I want you to know that you have nothing to worry about as far as I'm concerned.
12:05You live your life, and I'll live mine.
12:08All right, we did it.
12:20I, thank you for taking the time to do this.
12:22Oh, come on.
12:23It's our pleasure, right?
12:25I mean, I could go on about your grandfather forever and never run out of even things to say.
12:29So could I.
12:29Yeah, you know what, and I'm just so thrilled that the hospital is honoring him in this way.
12:35I mean, everybody is.
12:36Yeah.
12:36I mean, it's way overdue.
12:38Yeah.
12:39This would have meant the world to him.
12:43Well, now that we've got the official business out of the way, I mean, if you need to go, we understand.
12:47You're trying to get rid of me already.
12:48Oh, no, but I know that you're eager to get to Julie's.
12:51Get over there and see those sweet grandbabies of yours.
12:53Oh, yes, I'm dying to see my grandbabies and Julie and JJ, but, um, but what?
13:04There is some tension between Chad and me because of Kat Green.
13:10Why?
13:11Is something going on between them?
13:13That's what I'd like to know.
13:15Do you think whatever's going on, Gwen and E.J. has something to do with the blackout?
13:26Do you?
13:28Well, I know the mayor is blaming the power outage on the construction of the clinic.
13:33Yes, but the power company did say the source of the blackout was a blown transformer that's right outside the hospital, so it is possible that E.J.'s workers just overloaded the system.
13:47Of the precise moment that Gwen so happened to be alone in that room, I just think it's a wild coincidence.
13:55She thinks she's up to something.
13:58I mean, her story's pretty sketchy.
14:00Look, of course, there are things at the hospital the clinic needs to keep secure, but I've spent a fair amount of time in hospitals.
14:11Every drug closet I've ever seen is under regular lock and key, not a high-security electronic door.
14:20E.J. does love a secret room.
14:24One that I've yet to see.
14:26E.J. hasn't given you a tour of the construction site?
14:30E.J. Nope.
14:32E.J. Okay, well, I would suggest that you ask your boss to put that on the to-do list.
14:39E.J. That's exactly what I was thinking.
14:40E.J. Well, Chad told me that he and Kat are just friends, but I sense that it's more than that.
14:50E.J. I don't even know how he can tolerate being around that woman, honestly.
14:58E.J. And it's bad enough that she is staying in Salem, but now we have the other one coming back, too.
15:05E.J. The other one?
15:06E.J. Her brother, Mark Green, he was granted parole.
15:10E.J. You're kidding.
15:11E.J. No, I wish I was kidding.
15:14E.J. And it is shocking because Jack and I, we wrote out these statements imploring that he be denied early release.
15:22E.J. What about Chad? Any statement from him?
15:26E.J. No.
15:28E.J. I talked to him before the hearing, and he was just making excuses for him, saying that he's not a threat anymore.
15:35E.J. The only reason he did what he did is because Clyde Weston was holding his mother captive.
15:41E.J. You have no idea how hurtful it was to hear him defending that man.
15:46E.J. I mean, Mark Green is the man who tampered with the DNA to prove to us somehow that Abigail was alive.
15:58E.J. He almost orphaned my grandchildren.
16:02E.J. But hey, you know what? The way this whole thing is going, I'm sure Cat will be able to get his job back with E.J. because now she's his assistant.
16:12I am convinced she has everybody brainwashed.
16:15E.J. You know, Jennifer, I know that she has hurt you and Jack terribly, but I have to tell you that I have been working with her quite a bit at the hospital,
16:29E.J. And I can tell you that she is really, she's trying to make amends, and she has done great work with Marlena and with the hospital fundraiser.
16:39E.J. Kayla, are you kidding me? Don't even tell me that Cat has you on her side, too.
16:45E.J. Listen, I just think that you can't hang on to this anger inside you.
16:50E.J. And listen, if I'm on anybody's side, it's yours, of course.
16:54E.J. I mean, do you want to join in? Do you want to tell me how wonderful Cat Green is, too?
16:58E.J. Listen, Jennifer, I am in no way excusing what she and her brother did.
17:04E.J. But I have to be honest, if a psycho like Clyde Weston had my wife or one of my kids, I would do whatever I needed to do to save them.
17:15E.J. And I have.
17:16E.J. Okay.
17:17E.J. And then the people that were left devastated after you did what you needed to do, what do they do?
17:24E.J. They just let it go?
17:27E.J. You know, Jen...
17:28E.J. She was pretending to be my murdered daughter, back from the dead, Kayla.
17:35E.J. I know that she hurt you in the worst possible way, but you know what? Holding this rage inside of you, it is not okay.
17:42E.J. Okay, what do you want me to do? Tell me. Do you want me to forget it? Forgive her? Do you want me to take her out to lunch?
17:47E.J. I just think that, you know what? We all have been in need of forgiveness one time or another in our life, right?
17:57E.J. And we have all found it in ourselves. To grant that. And you and I have loved people who were lost and troubled and violence.
18:13E.J. But because they were forgiven, we were able to change for the better.
18:21E.J. I was one of those people. For sure. And Jen, so was Jack.
18:33E.J. I have known forgiveness.
18:41E.J. And who else did?
18:44E.J. Your daughter.
18:48E.J. There was a time when Abigail was suffering terribly.
18:53E.J. And she felt that her husband and son would be better off without her.
19:01E.J. Kayla, Abigail was mentally ill.
19:05E.J. But she felt that her only and best choice was to just disappear forever.
19:13E.J. And you know, a lot of people thought that it was just an unspeakable, unspeakable thing to do.
19:19E.J. But not you.
19:23E.J. Not you. Because you understood.
19:26E.J. You understood her that she did what she did to protect her family.
19:30E.J. And even though she hurt them, that she deserved to be forgiven.
19:38E.J. Okay, but what is your point?
19:41E.J. My point is that you were able to forgive Abigail.
19:49E.J. Which makes me think that you are capable of forgiving Cat.
19:56E.J. No, no, no.
19:57E.J. No.
19:58E.J. No.
19:59E.J. Cat was not mentally ill, Kayla.
20:02E.J. But she was desperate.
20:04E.J. She was desperate.
20:05E.J. And she just, she made the only choice that she could to protect her family.
20:10E.J. And I'm not saying that understanding what she did is going to take away your pain because it's not.
20:17E.J. But maybe forgiving her, forgiving her will take away your pain.
20:22E.J. And you know what?
20:23E.J. I just love you so much.
20:25E.J. And I want you to be free of this.
20:26E.J. Do you understand?
20:28E.J. I want you to be free.
20:28E.J. And maybe if you forgive her, I can help you do that.
20:33E.J. It shouldn't be too hard for us to live our own lives.
20:45E.J. Most people don't know what you did to me.
20:48E.J. I mean, my parents know a little about it.
20:53E.J. But not everything.
20:57E.J. I'm grateful for that.
21:00E.J. I was in a bad place back then.
21:03E.J. But that guy, that's not who I am anymore.
21:11E.J. I had heard that you had turned your life around.
21:15E.J. And for the record, I'm glad.
21:19E.J. But I wasn't trying to protect you by keeping what you did to myself.
21:26E.J. I was ashamed.
21:30E.J. You've nothing to be ashamed of.
21:33E.J. But what happened between us, it's...
21:37E.J. It's all on me.
21:42E.J. Steph...
21:42E.J. I'm so sorry.
21:47E.J. For everything.
21:48E.J. I...
21:48E.J. And you're right.
21:51E.J. I could have called and told you this on the phone, but...
21:53E.J. I thought I needed to come here.
21:57E.J. Looking in the eye and apologize in person.
22:05E.J. Well, I appreciate that.
22:09E.J. And that you're willing to take responsibility.
22:10E.J. It's the least I could do.
22:14E.J. And then, when I read your book...
22:16E.J. I really...
22:18E.J. I hoped you wouldn't.
22:22E.J. And I'd appreciate if you wouldn't tell anybody that I wrote it.
22:24E.J. I used a pen name so no one would know it was me.
22:27E.J. Got it.
22:28E.J. Don't worry.
22:28E.J. I won't tell a soul.
22:32E.J. Thanks.
22:32E.J. So, I guess your interview the other day went well.
22:41Julie told me that you got a job here.
22:44E.J. Are you still flying planes?
22:47E.J. Oh, my flying days have been over for a while.
22:49E.J. I'm a teacher now.
22:51E.J. North Salem Elementary needed a long-term sub for one of their fifth grade classes.
22:55E.J. Hired me.
22:56E.J. Turns out Thomas DiMera is going to be one of my students.
23:00E.J. Wait.
23:01E.J. How can you be?
23:02E.J. A teacher.
23:04E.J. You have a serious criminal record.
23:08E.J. You went on the run.
23:10E.J. And I realized I didn't want to live like that.
23:14E.J. So, I turned myself in.
23:16E.J. Worked all out with law enforcement.
23:18E.J. All the charges against me were dropped.
23:21E.J. You see?
23:24E.J. So, you got a second chance.
23:29E.J. I was determined not to blow it.
23:30E.J. Got into therapy right away.
23:33E.J. Started doing some volunteer work and I discovered I had a real connection with kids.
23:37E.J. So, I went back to school.
23:40E.J. Got certified in education.
23:45E.J. What's that look?
23:48E.J. It's just, um, kind of hard to picture you in a classroom.
23:51E.J. Standing in a chalkboard.
23:55E.J. Yeah, I'm sure it is.
23:58E.J. And I know words are cheap, but...
24:01E.J. I'm a changed man.
24:05E.J. And part of the reason I'm here, Salem,
24:08is if you can give me a chance to prove it.
24:11E.J. Jeremy, I...
24:12E.J. Don't answer no.
24:14E.J. This is a lot to process, I know.
24:19E.J. Just...
24:19E.J. Think about it.
24:24E.J. Thank you for giving me a chance to say my piece.
24:27E.J. And, um...
24:28E.J. I'll be on my way.
24:30E.J. Take care, Steph.
24:40E.J. Like I said,
24:56the situation with Kat is complicated.
24:59E.J. Okay?
25:00E.J. I'm very sorry that I wasn't straight with you.
25:03E.J. That was wrong.
25:05E.J. And I promise you, Thomas,
25:06from now on I'm going to tell you the truth, okay?
25:08E.J. I don't want there to be any secrets between us.
25:09E.J. That's what there were.
25:11E.J. Because a Kat.
25:12E.J. She turns you into a liar,
25:14just like she is.
25:15E.J. Thomas, listen to me.
25:17E.J. No!
25:17E.J. I don't want to listen to you ever again!
25:19E.J. Thomas!
25:20E.J. Thomas!
25:21E.J. What is happening?
25:21E.J. What's wrong?
25:22E.J. What's wrong?
25:22E.J. What's happened?
25:25E.J. What happened?
25:25E.J. Who is it?
25:45E.J. It's your mom!
25:45E.J. I knew that you were working from home today,
25:55so I thought I'd bring you a little sustenance.
25:57E.J. Aw, you didn't have to do that.
26:00E.J. But I'm glad that you did.
26:01E.J. I was just about to make lunch,
26:02and then I got distracted.
26:05E.J. Well, it's just a burger.
26:06E.J. I hope that's okay.
26:08E.J. It's perfect.
26:08E.J. Well, you can share some fries.
26:11E.J. No, I just ate, actually.
26:13E.J. Um, and the truth is,
26:15I had another reason to stop by.
26:17E.J. I...
26:18E.J. I just can't wrap my head around the fact
26:20that you were Anastasia Sands.
26:22E.J. Nah, you weren't supposed to know.
26:24E.J. It's okay.
26:25E.J. And you wouldn't have
26:26if the stupid blackout hadn't happened.
26:30E.J. Hey, I get it.
26:32E.J. Your fans were excited about the Q&A,
26:34and you didn't want to let them down.
26:35E.J. I just wish that E.J. hadn't found out.
26:39E.J. Well, I couldn't let him
26:41think that you were the one
26:43using the precious generator power
26:45to promote your borderline MC novel
26:47or however he said it.
26:48E.J. Screw you, E.J.
26:50E.J. Seriously.
26:51E.J. You are obviously
26:52tremendously talented.
26:55E.J. That's a big hit.
26:57E.J. But I never in a million years
26:59would have thought it was you that wrote it.
27:02E.J. You didn't tell Dad, did you?
27:05E.J. No, of course not.
27:06E.J. You know how dads are.
27:07E.J. Be a little hard for him to handle.
27:10E.J. A little, yeah.
27:12E.J. Bad enough finding out that he'd read it.
27:14E.J. I think that you should take that as a compliment.
27:16E.J. Your father reads a lot of books,
27:18but rarely does he talk about one
27:19as much as one stormy night.
27:21E.J. Oh, God, stop.
27:23E.J. No, it's okay, really.
27:26E.J. It's a big hit,
27:27and I am so proud of you.
27:31E.J. Really?
27:31E.J. Yes, really.
27:33E.J. Look at all the hard work
27:34that had to go into writing a book.
27:37E.J. And then you were so brave
27:38to get it published?
27:39E.J. Are you kidding?
27:40E.J. It was a big hit,
27:41and you know what?
27:42E.J. Even if it wasn't,
27:43I am so proud of you.
27:46E.J. Thank you, Mom.
27:48E.J. That means a lot.
27:49E.J. I'm serious.
27:50E.J. It's the truth.
27:52E.J. Hey, you know what?
27:53E.J. There is another reason
27:54that I, um, that I came by.
27:56E.J. Oh, yeah?
27:57E.J. Yeah, um,
27:59your Aunt Jennifer's in town,
28:01and, um,
28:02she told me that her nephew
28:04Jeremy's in town also.
28:08E.J. I know.
28:10E.J. He was just here.
28:16E.J. It's been a while
28:17since we worked on
28:19your self-defense training.
28:21E.J. Have you been practicing?
28:23E.J. I have.
28:24I've been working out some more
28:26and doing the strength training
28:28that you, that you told me to do.
28:29E.J. Oh, good.
28:30Good.
28:31It's great.
28:32Yeah, actually,
28:33I would like to give you
28:34another lesson,
28:35especially now,
28:36since we're investigating E.J.
28:38and, you know,
28:40there's no telling
28:41what we'll come up against,
28:42so,
28:44I just want
28:44you to know
28:46you can defend yourself.
28:50Yeah, me too.
28:51Um,
28:52I would like that.
28:53I'd like to learn
28:54some new moves.
28:58Um,
28:59just, uh,
29:00just let me know
29:00when it works for you.
29:01Yeah, yeah.
29:02Will do.
29:05So, what about everything else?
29:07You all right?
29:09Yeah, yeah.
29:10Everything is good.
29:12Is it?
29:13Because you've checked
29:14your phone like ten times
29:15since you've been in here.
29:18Wow.
29:19Okay, yeah.
29:20I really can't get anything
29:21past you, can I?
29:22Well, I mean,
29:23I don't mean to pry.
29:25No, it's,
29:27um,
29:29it's just
29:30Chad and I
29:32are going
29:33public with our relationship.
29:34Oh, okay.
29:38Well, I didn't know.
29:40Yeah, no, no,
29:41no one did.
29:42I mean,
29:42we,
29:43we just decided
29:45to do this.
29:46Um,
29:46and I'm a little nervous
29:47right now
29:47because
29:48Chad was going to
29:49talk to his family today
29:50and
29:51I texted him
29:52to see how everything went
29:54and I
29:54haven't heard back
29:55and so
29:55it's obviously
29:56a very,
29:57very
29:58delicate conversation.
30:00Yeah.
30:01Yeah, it's
30:01yeah.
30:03He's probably just
30:04um,
30:06trying to figure out
30:07what he's going to say.
30:09Probably still talking.
30:11Yeah.
30:12Or
30:12or he's avoiding me
30:14because it was
30:15a complete disaster.
30:15What is going on?
30:25What happened?
30:26I'm sorry,
30:27I walked in on that,
30:28Jennifer.
30:28We're,
30:28we're,
30:29we're fine.
30:30Well,
30:30it doesn't seem fine.
30:31We just need a minute
30:33to,
30:33we're just going to
30:33finish our conversation.
30:34What were you saying?
30:35That got him so upset.
30:36We just need a minute.
30:38Just tell me
30:38what's going on.
30:40I'll tell you
30:40what's going on.
30:41Dad's stating
30:42Tat Green.
30:45Jeremy Horton
30:57was here
30:57in your apartment.
30:58He came by
30:59a little while ago.
31:00What did he want?
31:03He wanted
31:03to tell me
31:05that he had worked
31:06really hard
31:06to turn his life around
31:07and that he was
31:08a changed man.
31:10And that's it?
31:12He promised
31:13he'd leave me alone.
31:14Do you believe him?
31:17He seemed
31:18sincere.
31:20But honestly,
31:22I'm not sure.
31:29Do you know
31:30when
31:30Mark's come, though?
31:32I don't have
31:32an exact date yet,
31:33but I know
31:34it's going to be soon,
31:35so we will put
31:35these cookies
31:36in the freezer
31:37and then they'll
31:37stay nice and fresh
31:38for him.
31:40I was worried about
31:41him during
31:42the way out.
31:44Oh, I'm sure
31:45he wasn't
31:45in the dark.
31:46You know,
31:46prisons have
31:47those generators,
31:48so the lights
31:49would have stayed on.
31:50I'm sure he wasn't
31:51scared at all.
31:53I still feel bad.
31:55Why do you feel bad?
31:58Because
31:58you are all alone.
32:01Oh.
32:03Actually,
32:03I wasn't alone.
32:12I knew it.
32:17Can we just
32:17table this,
32:18Jennifer,
32:19until I can
32:19finish talking to
32:20Thomas?
32:20I don't want
32:21to talk to you!
32:22Chad was at
32:37our place
32:38when the blackout
32:39hit,
32:39and then he
32:41ended up
32:41staying over.
32:43And it turns out
32:44you were right
32:45all along.
32:46I knew it.
32:49You did know it.
32:50And now
32:51everyone's
32:52going to know it
32:53because Chad and I
32:54decided we're telling
32:55our families
32:55that we're dating.
32:56Actually,
32:57he is telling
32:57his family today.
33:02I knew this
33:03was going to happen
33:03as soon as you
33:04let that vile woman
33:05into your life.
33:07I'm very sorry,
33:08Jennifer.
33:08That's,
33:08um,
33:09this is,
33:10that's not how
33:10I wanted you to
33:11find out.
33:12Me?
33:13What about your son?
33:15He is beside himself.
33:16And I said I was
33:17sorry.
33:18And I'll find a way
33:19to explain it to him.
33:21Explain that you
33:22are dating
33:23his mother's
33:24imposter?
33:25Well,
33:26let me tell you
33:26right now,
33:27it is inexplicable.
33:30I can't even imagine
33:31what is,
33:32what is going through
33:33that little boy's
33:33mind right now.
33:34All the confusion
33:35and,
33:36and all the betrayal.
33:39I mean,
33:39in what universe
33:41did you think
33:42getting romantically
33:43involved with
33:44Cat Green
33:44would even be
33:45remotely okay?
33:46Are you done?
33:58I need to go talk
33:59to him.
33:59No,
34:00I'm not.
34:00So,
34:09while I don't love
34:09that Jeremy
34:10is back in Salem,
34:12I'm willing to
34:13believe that he's
34:15changed
34:15and to give him
34:16a second chance.
34:18We all deserve that,
34:19right?
34:20Yeah,
34:20we do.
34:22But listen,
34:22just promise me
34:23that you will keep
34:24your eyes open
34:25and your guard up.
34:26Okay?
34:26Oh,
34:27I will.
34:28We all will.
34:39Hey,
34:40buddy.
34:41Thanks for meeting me.
34:42Yeah,
34:42of course.
34:44Can I get your coffee?
34:45No,
34:45good.
34:46Sad one.
34:48Listen,
34:49I spoke to Brady
34:50and,
34:51I'm sorry
34:52the whole DNA test
34:53thing didn't work out.
34:55Yeah,
34:55so am I.
34:56but we do
34:57appreciate you
34:58getting the sample
34:59from Tesoro.
35:00It really made
35:01things a lot easier.
35:03Yeah,
35:03of course.
35:05Is that why
35:06you called?
35:07You have another
35:08lead on Tate's baby,
35:09you want me to run down?
35:10Unfortunately,
35:11no.
35:12I called
35:13because I was
35:14hoping you could
35:15look into someone
35:17else
35:18on the download.
35:19who?
35:23His name
35:25is Jeremy
35:25Horton.
