01:21chances are that you've had your carrier throttle your download speeds.
01:26But when you turn on a VPN like Surfshark,
01:28because everything is encrypted,
01:30even your carrier can't see what you're doing.
01:33Meaning, not only do you get privacy and security,
01:35but you also get the full speed you're already paying for.
01:38Which, for me, has been the difference between
01:40being able to download a movie before I board a plane and not.
01:44Of course, the main reason I use a VPN is security.
01:47When you're on public wifi, whether at a coffee shop or at a hotel,
01:50you don't want to worry about eavesdroppers tracking what you're doing online.
01:53And because Surfshark works across unlimited devices,
01:56it means your phone, your tablet, and your laptop all stay protected.
02:01Plus, with extras like antivirus and webcam protection on your computer,
02:05Surfshark is more than just a VPN.
02:07It's a full-on privacy suite.
02:09You can try it risk-free at surfshark.com slash buffdeal
02:12and get four extra months free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
02:16That's surfshark.com slash buffdeal.
02:20Alright, we'll kick things off by starting the stopwatches on each phone
02:23and then jumping into the first row,
02:24where right off the bat, the iPhone takes the lead,
02:27being faster in both Facebook and in Starbucks.
02:30That's the exact opposite of what we saw last time,
02:32so a really good sign early on for Apple.
02:34But the Galaxy isn't far behind.
02:37And with both phones taking this portrait selfie
02:39and then waiting for the photo to finish processing,
02:42it cuts it even closer.
02:44Here in Snapseed, each phone is editing the same high-resolution photo,
02:47where our robots are having the phones apply two different filters before exporting,
02:51where the Galaxy is just ripping through the task,
02:54already moving on to video editing.
02:56So not the best performance from the iPhone in that photo app,
03:00but we'll really get to see the power of the A19 Pro in this video export,
03:05where the iPhone has historically made a large chunk of its comebacks.
03:09But at least from what I can tell,
03:10that doesn't look like it's going to happen here,
03:12with the iPhone exporting this one-minute video clip roughly 40% slower,
03:18allowing the Galaxy to pull a full two apps,
03:20no wait, make that three apps ahead of the iPhone,
03:23midway in this speed test.
03:25Now, the good news for the iPhone is generally,
03:28it seems to do better in the gaming row.
03:30But unlike in years past,
03:32the Galaxy and that Snapdragon 8 Elite is not losing a step at all.
03:36I mean, it is just blazing through these games,
03:39so the iPhone has got its work cut out for it.
03:42Now, the Galaxy does seem to be doing the iPhone a favor here,
03:46with it stuttering a bit in forward assault.
03:48So if the iPhone can finish up with going balls,
03:50and load this 3D shooter faster,
03:53it can make up significant ground.
03:55But even if it does,
03:56it still might be too little too late,
03:59with the Galaxy already working on the apps in the bottom row,
04:02and doing so in impressive fashion.
04:04The good news for the iPhone though,
04:06is it was faster in forward assault,
04:08and it just sped through Spotify.
04:10But with the Galaxy finishing up with Amazon,
04:12there you have it.
04:13It finishes the first lap,
04:14with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 2 seconds,
04:18while the iPhone is finishing up with Disney Plus.
04:20So, it's gonna be interesting to see how big this Delta ends up being here,
04:24where the iPhone finishes the first lap 14 seconds later.
04:29Now, look,
04:30I think it's important to zoom out a bit,
04:31and acknowledge that both of these phones are incredibly fast.
04:35Like, you're not gonna notice a huge difference between them,
04:37unless you test them side by side like this.
04:39And we also didn't push their thermal performance,
04:42since this test starts and ends in just a few minutes.
04:45But then again, most people just kind of flip through apps on their phones,
04:47and occasionally do some photo and video editing.
04:50And when it comes to that, you have got to give credit where credit is due,
04:53with the winner by a big margin being the still undefeated Galaxy S25 Ultra.
05:02Anyways, that is it for me in this video.
05:04Thank you for watching, and as always, I'll see you in the very next episode.
