00:23Anwar told Burnama on Tuesday the explanation provided by the ministry that alcohol was served only after the official program had concluded
00:32was unacceptable as the government holds a firm policy against serving alcohol at official functions, without exception.
00:41He said although the alcohol was served after the official event ended, it was still within the same venue and part of the same event.
00:49The premier stressed that regardless of the explanation that the program had concluded, it is still entirely inappropriate.
00:57The gala dinner, held on October 1, brought together more than 600 international buyers and over 100 international media representatives.
01:06Tiong had clarified that the private sector had organized the catering and it was not part of Tourism Malaysia's official program.
