00:00Amazing to get a win here because this track has not been my best friend over the years.
00:04Most of the time through my own doing.
00:06So I felt that I had a bit to make amends here.
00:10And then obviously it is the most physical track of the season.
00:14And it's the longest race of the year.
00:16You know, it's half an hour longer than the race in Monza four races ago.
00:20So by the end I was destroyed. I lost almost four kilos.
00:23So I was glad to cross the line in the lead.
00:26Yeah, it was a bit more difficult than I would have hoped for to be honest.
00:30For whatever reason in the race I was struggling a lot with the downshifts and upshifts of the car.
00:36Which was giving me a lot of pushing under braking.
00:40Which on a street circuit you don't want.
00:43The car was also not where I wanted it to be unfortunately.
00:46A few things of course to learn from that.
00:49I think from some decisions that we made throughout the weekend.

02:11Left hand side the grip was a bit worse than the right hand side.

02:27And as we've seen previously, track position is extremely important.
02:30And yeah, just lost a couple of places at the start.

02:37The pace was really good, to be honest.
02:39I felt really, really good in the car.
02:41And yeah, just a bit disappointed because the potential was higher.
02:46And you know, I think with a better Q3 could have been a different story.
02:51But we'll try to do better next time.

03:06I wish I could say that I'm positive for the rest of the season.
03:12I don't think there's anything in the car at the moment that proves me that we are going to do a step forward.

03:20And yeah, I don't quite know how to turn that situation around because we don't have new parts or anything coming to the car.
03:28Yeah, it was a very good race for us.

03:32The car fell fast.
03:33In the first steam, we opened a nice gap with the soft tyre.
03:36Lasted longer than we expected.
03:38So that was a very good news.
03:39And then a slow pisto, but the car is still very fast in the second steam.
03:44And we finished in the same position.
03:45So yeah, some fun battles as well.
03:48Singapore never easy to overtake.
03:50But as I said, I had an advantage on the tyre as well.
03:53Everyone fitted the car on the second steam.
03:55I fitted the medium.
03:56So that was a good call from the team.
03:58And I had this tyre advantage that gave me the opportunity to overtake.
04:02The guys are pushing so hard each weekend.
04:04I feel pain for all the team.
04:10From catering to marketing to the guys in the garage and the engineers who show up every weekend.
04:15And they really do give absolutely everything.
04:18But the car we have is just, it's not unfortunately of the level of the guys up ahead of us.
04:26Particularly as they've had some upgrades and we can't match them.
04:30So we're like, we're on the knife edge trying to get as close as we can.
04:33But I think if we can get our qualifying fixed, which is very, very hard to do against these quick cars,
04:40then maybe, maybe we can get slightly better results.
04:43But I mean, ultimately we're still fighting for fourth, fifth, sort of, fourth, fifth, sixth, you know, at best.

04:52After that one, you know, a bit of an instant, dropped down to P10.
04:55Then I was under a lot of threat from Nico behind, who was very fast.
04:59And generally on that first thing, I was struggling a lot with the car balance.
05:02We made a good step for the second one.
05:05And actually we were looking on for P8, you know, because of Alonso's slow stop.
05:10Unfortunately, I lost the position to him.
05:12He seemed a bit quicker than us today, but happy to score points.

05:16I honestly had a lot of fun.
05:18It was quite long, quite boring for 50 laps.
05:21I thought that maybe to get a point, we needed safety cars.
05:25We needed something to happen in the race.
05:27In the end, nothing happened.
05:28But when I boxed for the soft tire at the end and we found so much pace,
05:34we actually had a lot of fun overtaking a lot of cars being the quickest car on track there at the end.
05:39And yeah, managed to recover a point for the team after a difficult day yesterday.

05:55I couldn't do anything.

11:04was when we boxed at the end and fit the soft.
11:06And the speed was a bit better.
11:08But it was just only five, six laps until we caught up some more traffic.
11:12So, um, yeah, from the pit lane, there wasn't much, um, we could do anyway,
11:18but, uh, a bit long afternoon.
11:20Yeah, not our day, not our race.

11:23Um, yeah, I just, you know, it's, if we don't have track position,
11:28it's very difficult, uh, with our car.
11:31And I think generally on the street circuit where I think you saw overtaking

11:39And, uh, by pitting late, you know, obviously we lost more, uh, positions.

11:46But, um, yeah, it, you know, I don't feel, of course, a little bit missed opportunity,
11:52but I also feel we, we didn't really, yeah, have an amazing pace.
