00:00The urban architecture of Los Angeles is a boon for directors and other filmmakers.
00:07And if there's one place that's full of unique buildings, it's Downtown.
00:12Union Station, the city's historic train station, known for its colonial architecture
00:17Spanish, notably its entrance hall used as a courthouse in The Dark Knight Rises
00:22and as a police station in Blade Runner.
00:24Let's stay on rail transport but on a smaller scale since in 1901, the city
00:28of Los Angeles has put this unique funicular into service, because this type of lift
00:33mechanical will take you up or down a distance of 91 meters.
00:37The attraction, nicknamed Angel Flight, was very popular until the 1960s.
00:42before being officially closed in 2013 due to too many accidents, then

02:50Between 1910 and 1931, twelve movie theaters were built on Broadway.
02:55This made the avenue have the largest concentration of cinemas in the world with
