00:04I should tell you a little bit about this guitar.

00:07This is a Rickenbacker guitar.

00:10Excuse me for a sec here.

00:15It I purchased way back in 1969.

00:20What I ended up doing was I put a humbucker pickup right here

00:25because I heard about these guys in England.

00:28And that would be Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton.

00:34They were plugging Les Paul guitars into a Marshall Am,

00:37making the coolest sound ever.

00:39I wanted to get me some.

00:41Anyway, fixed up the guitar.

00:43I played it on everything.

00:44Green River, up around the bend, down on it.

00:47I played this guitar in Woodstock.

00:58Yeah, you got to speed it up there, you know.

01:02Anyway, somewhere along the way, I gave this guitar away to a little kid.

01:08And I didn't see the guitar for a long time.

01:12A couple of years ago, my dear wife, Julie, went out into the middle of America.

01:16And she found my guitar, man.

01:19She brought it home, put it under the Christmas tree.

01:22And when I opened up that surprise package, tears of joy was coming out of my eyes,

01:31rolling down my cheek all the way to the floor.

01:34I felt so happy and so good.

01:38I felt so happy because I got no power, brother.

01:41Anyway, after that Woodstock thing, I went home.

01:49I wrote this song on this guitar.

02:11Long as I remember the rain had been coming down, clouds of mystery pouring, confusion on the ground.

02:26Running through the ages, trying to find the sun.
