El presidente de la Federación Palestina de Fútbol, Jibril Rajoub, ha pedido al presidente de los Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, que "entienda de una vez por todas" que "ha llegado el momento" de ejercer presión sobre Israel y "poner fin al hambre y al genocidio". Además ha elogiado la "valiente postura" adoptada por España y se ha mostrado convencido de que "la historia recordará que se opuso al genocidio". El Museo de la Paz de Gernika ha acogido la firma oficial y el acto de presentación del encuentro de carácter solidario que van a disputar la Euskal Selekzioa y la selección de Palestina el próximo sábado 15 de noviembre, a las 20.30 horas en San Mamés, y que donará todos los ingresos a organizaciones humanitarias "que salvan vidas en Gaza".
