01:05On Wednesday, Secretary Duffy announced our new Associate Administrator, Amit Shatrilla,
01:11a 20-year veteran of the agency who has led our Moon to Mars program
01:15and is committed to keeping America first in space.
01:18Also on Wednesday, NASA Astronauts Xena Cardman, Mike Fink, and Johnny Kim joined Bill Hemmer
01:24to talk about staying strong and fit in space, right after completing the Bobby and Pete Challenge
01:29to make America healthy again.
01:32We're also gearing up for the two critical missions, IMAP and Carruthers,
01:36to protect our astronauts and technology from solar storms.
01:39The Sun sends out a constant flow of particles and energy that can disrupt GPS, power grids, and space operations.
01:47These missions, which are scheduled to launch at the end of the month,
01:51will help us predict and mitigate the effects of those disruptions.
01:54We also successfully completed a first-of-its-kind cryogenic fuel test,
01:59marking a major step towards storing super-cold propellants without loss during long missions.
02:05And today, NASA released a draft Phase 2 announcement for proposals asking for feedback from American companies
02:11on the next phase of commercial space station strategies,
02:15making sure our country leads the future of low-Earth orbit
02:18as we prepare a seamless transition of activities from the International Space Station.
