00:00Lewis Hamilton has thanked an amazing friend for looking after his dog, Roscoe, who was put down
00:06on Sunday. Roscoe, a bulldog who had become an iconic figure in the F1 paddock, died after
00:13battling pneumonia. Ferrari star and seven-time F1 world champion Hamilton called his puppy pal
00:20a beautiful soul in an emotional tribute posted to social media. But his jet-setting lifestyle
00:25meant he couldn't always be by Roscoe's side. So one of Hamilton's friends, Kristen McMillan,
00:32spent time training and caring for Roscoe, as well as the F1 star's other bulldog, Coco,
00:38who died in 2020. Addressing his 41 million followers, Hamilton wrote on his Instagram story,
00:45I want you to take time to uplift my amazing friend Kirsten. She trained both Roscoe and Coco
00:51and treated them like family. She helped look after their health,
00:56and it is really through her that Roscoe lived so long.
