00:00Three things I know at 35 that I wish I knew at 25. Number one, never underestimate the power of
00:04inertia to keep you in the wrong situation. Our brains love what is familiar and are terrified
00:09of what isn't. And we will go to great lengths to justify staying in the wrong situation to
00:14ourselves because it's comfortable. We will stay in the wrong job, in the wrong city, in the wrong
00:18friend group, even in the wrong marriage because of inertia. So do everything in your power to
00:22fight that instinct to go for what is actually right for you. Number two, if you can't be honest
00:26about your budget with your friends, that's a sign to change the friends, not the budget.
00:29We're entering wedding season, which is a prime example of just how crazy money between
00:33friends has gotten and the expectation that we all spend on each other well past what is reasonable.
00:38And we conflate what we spend on someone with how much we care about them and have made it shameful
00:42to say that this isn't in my budget. But until you get comfortable with doing that, you will never
00:46grow financially. Number three, envy is a powerful voice, so listen to it. When we are jealous of
00:51someone or something, it is telling us something very clear about ourselves and our own lives.
00:55So don't run from it. Use it as a tool.
00:59We'll be fine.
01:01It's time to change.
01:03How much action can leave the interactivity is on it.
01:05If you're willing to calm down, we have to take those conversations and weekend
01:08to consider thinking that you could really solve your work or whatever you can do.
01:09You can't change anything over the world unless you're willing to solve it.
01:11Then I'm answering the line, and it should be able to kind of go
01:12really push-to-making.
01:14If you can make maybe even think about yourself and take a bit of a sense,
01:16because you cannot make a difficult approach.
01:18I am going here to practice how the idea things are on.
