00:00Welcome to a very, very way overdue video where I'm sharing how I curl my hair.
00:11First off, don't kill me because I'm so late with showing this.
00:14Second of all, there are different hairstyles that I do, right?
00:20So we have this one that I've been doing over the past years.
00:24I'll add a few pictures here.
00:26This is probably the hairstyle that I've done most throughout the past years.
00:33Then there's another, or there are actually a few more other hair curl styles that I've been doing over the past years.
00:40One of them is this one.
00:44And that's a different way of curling my hair.
00:49But this video is obviously about how I curl my hair to get this result.
00:56So, I'm really excited.
00:58I really hope you guys like it.
01:00If you do, make sure you subscribe and you like this video.
01:05And let's get into it.
01:07Okay, so this is my hair once I come out of the shower and I've blow-dried it.
01:17So, I quickly wanted to share my after-shower hair routine, just so you get an idea of all the products I use.
01:26Of course, they are Gizu products, my own brand.
01:30And I apologize in advance, but this truly is what I use on an everyday basis.
01:35And I created it, of course, because I love them.
01:38So, I am going to share that with you.
01:40When I come out of the shower, out of wet hair, most of you guys know, I use my honey-infused hair oil on wet hair.
01:47And then I brush it through.
01:49The reason I use our hair oil is to keep my hair healthy and shiny.
01:54And the honey that is in there from our own bee garden really has all the vitamins that my hair needs.
01:59So, after I do that, I brush out my hair.
02:03And then I am using, and this is a step I almost never forget, is a heat protectant spray.
02:10And, of course, our Propolis heat protectant spray.
02:14Propolis is another bee product, just like honey.
02:17And it does wonders to your hair.
02:19And I really swear by our heat protectant spray.
02:22Since I am going to use another heat tool, I'm going to, again, use our heat protectant spray just a little bit.
02:30Just to make sure that there is enough protection.
02:35Because there is already some protection from before, but I still want to make sure that I've protected it enough.
02:43Okay, let's start with the actual curling of my hair.
02:47I always section it into three parts.
02:51So, I start here, and then I section another part right here.
02:55I'm looking in the mirror right there.
02:59I put this up.
03:04I put...
03:06Oh, that was my curling tool.
03:12So, I put this up in a bun.
03:15The first thing that is really important is that you're going to grab a piece of hair that is not too big and not too small.
03:25Why not too big?
03:26Because if you're going to take apart a section like this, or a piece, or whatever you call it,
03:33and you're going to curl this, the curl is going to sort of fall out, and it's not going to stay put.
03:40So, what I always make sure is that I don't get a too tiny piece of hair, but also not too much.
03:45So, I grab a piece like this, approximately.
03:50And I always have a little bit less hair here compared to here in the back.
03:55So, I'm going to get my hair curler, and I'm going to curl it.
04:04Okay, another tip that I want to give you guys is this.
04:15When I get a piece of hair, so, for instance, this piece.
04:19First of all, you saw that I curled this hair outward, but this one, I curl it inwards.
04:28And I switch it off because I think it gives it more of a natural effect.
04:34Rather than putting every hair piece into one direction, I just sort of want to switch it off.
04:39This piece, I'm going to curl inwards.
04:43Just like that.
04:50So, now, again, I'm going to switch direction, but another thing that's really important,
04:57and what I do to create volume on top, right here,
05:02is I curl it from the roots.
05:06Be careful, though.
05:07You don't want to burn your hair, so you really have to be careful.
05:10So, again, I'm going to get a piece.
05:14Not too big, not too small.
05:15It's actually a little bit too big, so I'm going to make it a bit smaller.
05:17And then, I start very, very much into the roots.
05:28Okay, last one for this side.
05:31And here comes another tip.
05:33So, once I curl my hair, again, I'm going to put this inwards.
05:37I'm holding this for about, what, five seconds.
05:42When I let it go, I let it go in my hands.
05:47And then I hold it for, like, a few seconds, just so that it can cool off.
05:52So, it looks very, very curly right now.
05:56And I recommend that you guys just let it be this way.
06:01You just have to continue, and we're going to make it look more natural later on.
06:05So, this is my hair right now.
06:08Look how shiny it looks.
06:10Look at the difference in my hair length.
06:12Look how short this is right now compared to the other side.
06:16It's better, because now I can sit a little bit closer, actually.
06:18I'm going to move over to this side.
06:23Another thing that I find that is important, this is a small piece, by the way, again, because
06:29I just have less hair here.
06:30So, I'm going to curl my hair, right?
06:33And then, I sort of turn it in, so that I get a bit more into the roots.
06:41But also, I like to pull it a bit.
06:44Be careful, again, because if you have sensitive hair, it isn't good.
06:48But the reason why I do this is so it really gets into this part, you know?
06:55And it's going to stay, the curl is going to be right there.
07:00That didn't make any sense, did it?
07:03And now, this is a bit too curly, so I'm just going to do that.
07:09And now it looks like this.
07:10So, again, get a piece of hair, I'm going to switch directions, move it inwards, like
07:18this, so I'm going closer to my roots.
07:21And once I'm there, I'm just going to pull it a tiny, tiny bit, just so that the hair
07:28is really around the tool, if that makes any sense.
07:33Hold it a few seconds, and let it go in your hand.
07:41I'm going to finish off this section now.
07:43Okay, this fell out, I didn't hold it too tight, so I'm going to do it a little bit.
08:06Okay, that is the first section of my hair.
08:12Just to show you guys a bit more, why I put the curl way up here, is because already
08:18you see the volume here, it's sticking out a bit.
08:22And we're going to let it cool off, and later on, you will see the benefits of that.
08:26Putting this to the back, and then I'm going to grab another section of my hair.
08:42Again, I'm dividing it in the back.
08:53Oh, this looks weird.
08:55Wait.
08:57Wait, wait, wait.
08:58I'm going to make it a bit smaller.
09:02Still weird, right?
09:05Whatever.
09:05What is this?
09:11No, wait.
09:13Normally I don't care, but this looks really weird when I talk.
09:17Maybe I should just get a different hair tie, maybe that's it.
09:20Actually, I have a black one right here.
09:22Why not grab this?
09:24Okay, second section.
09:29Again, same thing.
09:31I'm going to grab a piece of hair.
09:34And I told you guys, don't grab too big of a piece, and not too small of a piece.
09:41But, it honestly looks more natural when you grab different sizes of hair.
09:47To get that natural look, you want to switch directions, and not be too precise with the
09:54different sizes of the pieces you grab to curl your hair.
10:00So this is also like a bigger piece.
10:03Now I'm moving that again outwards.
10:07Just like that.
10:08And then, this is already, these are very long pieces of hair that I'm getting right
10:16now.
10:18Hold it for a few seconds.
10:21Let it loose, let it go.
10:26And then the last one.
10:30And this one, again, outwards.
10:32Okay, so this is what I have now.
10:38Lots of curls.
10:40Going to switch over to this side.
10:46Usually when I do my hair like this, I think it will take me around 15 to maximum 20 minutes.
10:56Because I'm just like, blah, blah, blah, super quick.
10:58But of course, I want to show you guys every step I use.
11:04So I'm really, really trying to explain everything.
11:07Because I always thought it wasn't, it was pretty straightforward what I did.
11:12But when I started thinking about all those small things that I do unconsciously, I was
11:18like, okay, no.
11:19Now, I think I do actually have something to share with you guys.
11:24I'm really, really trying to leave no information out and share everything with you.
11:32This is how I've been doing my hair.
11:34And I really hope, again, this video is way overdue.
11:40But I really hope that you guys still really love seeing this.
11:46Last section.
11:47Let me know if you guys find this helpful, the tips I give to you.
12:02Or is it more like, I already knew that.
12:05I'm really curious about that.
12:07The last steps.
12:28I sometimes have some flyaways here.
12:31So I put my hair curler a little bit lower.
12:33And what I do, I have some hair, but if you have thin hair, be careful.
12:39But I just put it very low.
12:41And I just go over my hair like this.
12:45Just for the flyaways I get.
12:48Also, I know that I'm going to get a lot of questions about the hair curler that I'm using.
12:53But I just can't talk about it.
12:56Because my team and I are still working on it.
12:58And it's a sample that I've been using for the last seven months.
13:05I just thought it was weird to grab another hair curler.
13:08Because I have been using this one for quite a long time right now.
13:12But I'll make sure to update you guys when we have more info.
13:17It's just like the entire product development.
13:19You guys know it just takes so much time.
13:21So I'll keep you updated if I know more.
13:24But this is my hair right now.
13:29As you can see, a lot of curls.
13:32And I do prefer it this way.
13:35So what I normally would do is I come out of the shower.
13:39I usually curl my hair first.
13:41Right?
13:42Then it looks like this.
13:43Then I am going to do my makeup.
13:48And then once I've done my makeup.
13:52I am in my outfit.
13:54I'm going to either comb through my hair.
13:58Or use my fingers to go through my hair.
14:01And make it a bit more softer.
14:03So I don't really have the time right now to let it cool off.
14:07Because I have to head to the office in a bit.
14:10The reason why I do that is because the longer you give your hair the time to cool off.
14:19The better the curls will stay put.
14:23Is that how you say it?
14:24I think so.
14:25And I don't have the time for that.
14:27So I'm just going to show you guys.
14:28But it's really better to do that.
14:30But for now, just to give you an idea.
14:33I just grab my fingertips.
14:36And I go through my hair like this.
14:40Not too much, right?
14:45Because again, over time it's going to look more natural anyway.
14:51So I just prefer it when it looks a bit more curly in the start.
14:55And now, as you can see, I also created some volume here.
15:01Which I like.
15:02Because I can just play around with it that way.
15:04This is actually also the part where I grab my oil.
15:08It's in my other room.
15:09And put more of that in my hair.
15:13I'm also in my very, very comfy pants.
15:17Okay.
15:18I literally have just like a tiny bit.
15:24I wonder how many people are going to give me shit.
15:27Because I use so many of my own products.
15:30But yeah, you guys.
15:31This is just what I do.
15:33I have to do this.
15:34I literally use the tiniest amount.
15:38Look.
15:39Can you see that?
15:41I warm it up in my hands.
15:44And then I just play around with it.
15:52Fixing my makeup.
15:53I literally have to go to the office.
15:57To film something really exciting for a campaign that we're doing.
16:01So this comes in very handy.
16:03Mushy, mushy, mushy.
16:05Mushy, mushy, mushy.
16:07So that was it for the video.
16:12Hey, Liffie.
16:14I really, really, again, hope you guys like it.
16:17Please make sure to like this video.
16:20Please subscribe as well if you like this.
16:21I want to share more of these videos.
16:23Again, I want to show you also the other ways I curl my hair.
16:28So I will see you in my next video.
16:30Thank you for watching.
16:32And hope you enjoyed it.
16:33Later.
