00:00I was 40 years old, had 3 kids under the age of 8, and was in the middle of a divorce after
00:05finding out my wife had been cheating on me.
00:07To be honest, I thought my life was over.
00:10I cried a lot, even if I didn't let my kids see it.
00:14For them, I put on the brave face, but inside, I was wrecked.
00:18Divorce drained me emotionally and financially, and I couldn't shake the thought, what woman
00:23in the world would want a broke 40-year-old man with 3 kids?
00:26Then something unexpected happened.
00:28A co-worker introduced me to one of her friends, a gorgeous single woman who hadn't dated
00:33in nearly 8 years.
00:35She agreed to meet me for lunch with a group of co-workers, and from the moment we talked,
00:39something just clicked.
00:40That night, I called her.
00:42By the end of the week, we had our first official date.
00:46We spoke every evening leading up to it, and by the time we actually saw each other again,
00:50it felt like we already knew each other.
00:53Our first kiss happened in the bar of the restaurant while waiting for our table.
00:56That same night, I told her I was in love with her.
01:00She didn't say it back, yet, but she didn't run either.
01:03A few months later, on the same day the judge signed off my divorce, I proposed.
01:08She said yes.
01:10Fast forward 19 years.
01:12We've been happily married for 17 of them.
01:14We built a life together I never thought I'd have again.
01:18Out of the darkest moment of my life came the greatest blessing.
01:21Sometimes love dies because a better love is waiting for you.
01:25If you're going through hell, don't give up.
01:27Keep your heart open.
01:29Love can find you when you least expect it.
