A ballistic missile fired by Iran-backed Houthis from Yemen at Tel Aviv was intercepted by Israel’s air defenses overnight. The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel and parts of the West Bank, sending millions to shelters.
In response, the Israeli Air Force launched 'Operation Pass the Parcel,' targeting Houthi military camps, drone stockpiles, and missile storage sites in Sana’a. Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed a stronger retaliation, saying, “Whoever harms Israel will be struck twice as hard.”
The Houthi strikes come amid ongoing tensions in Gaza following the October 7 Hamas attacks, with Israeli officials warning that Iran’s proxies are attempting to open multiple fronts against Israel.
