00:00Wrestlers fight backstage.
00:02Do you want to know how I know this?
00:04Because they're human beings.
00:05Given the news machine though, people love hearing about them, which I totally do understand.
00:09So although my friends, I am Simon from WhatCulture,
00:11and just to give you what does tickle your taste buds,
00:14here's ten that you may not know about.
00:17Number ten, Eddie Guerrero vs. Hawk.
00:19I mean, I wasn't sure before this if they ever shared a locker room together.
00:22It shows what I know. Nothing.
00:24Now it is important to note that throughout his career,
00:26Eddie was basically considered by everyone to be a super humble human being,
00:29who even was down on his luck even when he was on top of the world,
00:32and was just the kind of guy he was.
00:34That's why it's kind of ironic that he got into a fight with one half of the road warriors,
00:38on an occasion where he just showed a little bit of arrogance.
00:41Happening when Guerrero was teaming with Art Bar,
00:43he went up to Animal and Hawk and he was like,
00:45Man, have you seen us out there?
00:47I do believe right now, we are the best tag team in the world.
00:50Now of course the future Legion of Doom thought that they held such an accolade,
00:53so Hawk said to Ed,
00:55well listen man, if we're talking about junior heavyweights maybe,
00:58but tag teams, man try again.
01:00And I think Guerrero may have taken a little bit of offense to this,
01:03so he doubled down on it.
01:04Apparently right after that, Hawk just smacked him in the face though.
01:07If you think that sounds unnecessary,
01:09yes, you'd be right.
01:11Sounds like they made up pretty quickly after this,
01:13and again, just go through everything that Eddie Guerrero did,
01:16he's an absolute hero.
01:17Number 9, Hawk vs. Too Cold Scorpio.
01:19Well, it ain't looking too great for Hawk, is it?
01:22We've gone two for two.
01:23Whatever reason though, he and Too Cold Scorpio just didn't get on,
01:26and they decided, like Russell Crowe,
01:28to take their fighting around the world.
01:30The one we are going to talk about today apparently went down
01:32when WCW were doing those North Korea shows,
01:34which you should absolutely go and read about.
01:36Apparently, Scorpio wasn't happy on any of this tour,
01:40was actively walking around going,
01:41Man, that Ric Flair driving around in his limousine and wearing the bus,
01:45he is not a locker room leader at all.
01:47Too Cold also felt like the Nature Boy was holding him back in his career,
01:50and when Hawk heard about this,
01:52I guess he felt there was a hierarchy.
01:54So once again, he punched Too Cold Scorpio in the face.
01:57Now the first blow was thrown outside of a hotel
01:59when the rest of the roster broke it up,
02:01and because they were in North Korea,
02:03I think cooler heads prevailed,
02:05with Hawk and Scorpio deciding,
02:07well, let's just get back to America,
02:09and we can continue this on.
02:10It somehow still got into this when they were on the bus,
02:13but thankfully then, when we did return to America,
02:15I think everybody realized it's not worth it,
02:18and they did what anybody should do,
02:20they just stopped talking to each other.
02:22Good.
02:23Number 8, CM Punk vs. Teddy Hart.
02:24This one has to come with a pinch of salt,
02:26because it does come from the mouth of Teddy Hart,
02:28although Paul London did back him up.
02:30But yeah, Ted has told many a tale over his time,
02:33and a lot of them are baloney.
02:35Kicking off when they were both in NWA TNA, however,
02:38apparently they had a disagreement in a restaurant.
02:40When they went outside,
02:41they threw some fisty cuffs,
02:43with maybe, apparently, allegedly,
02:44Teddy Hart getting the better of it.
02:46But again, who is telling the story?
02:48It is Teddy Hart.
02:49You're going to have to make your own mind up.
02:51London has also been very vocal about his feelings towards CM Punk,
02:54and look, I'm sure there was some kind of a scuffle,
02:57but if the result was as cut and dry as it was made out,
03:00well, I don't know.
03:01Number 7, William Regal vs. Van Hammer.
03:03So, I don't think you want to mess with William Regal,
03:06he's one tough mother hubbard.
03:07Now, if you need proof of that,
03:08just go and watch him and Finlay fight each other in WCW.
03:11I mean, they just punch each other right in the face.
03:14It's the stiffest thing you'll ever see in your life.
03:16I'm not sure Van Hammer knew any of this, though,
03:18because apparently, during a Christmas party hosted by DDP,
03:21the Hammer man was walking around going,
03:23oh man, I'm getting pushed so hard, and I ain't doing anything,
03:26and Regal took such great offense to this,
03:28he went and punched him.
03:29He also followed up with a headbutt that knocked Van Hammer out,
03:32and there's also other reports that apparently Van was saying,
03:35oh man, the European style absolutely sucks,
03:38so a small part of me was like,
03:40what did you think was going to happen?
03:41It's also not true,
03:42because when it comes to wrestling,
03:43you need all these different styles,
03:44but once again, even though he's in his 50s now,
03:47if you want to go mess with Regal, just don't.
03:50Number 6, The Big Show vs. Chavo Guerrero.
03:52Well, you've got to give it to Ooh Chavo,
03:54he decided to try it on with The Big Show,
03:57which is a really stupid idea.
03:59Jim Ross talked about this on his podcast
04:01and took us back to 2004,
04:03and when the pair were on a long, gruelling tour,
04:05I suppose Big Show decided he needed to take the mick out of someone,
04:08so he picked Chavo.
04:10And this was really childlike,
04:11because the real-life Paul White was all,
04:12ha ha, Chavo, you're really small,
04:14so Guerrero fired back with,
04:16well, yeah, you're fat and lazy.
04:18This is when The Big Show pushed Chavo,
04:20and thankfully, that's when it was broken up,
04:23because I imagine even though it was just one shove,
04:25Guerrero ended up in the other room.
04:26And apparently this was true as well,
04:28because everybody realised,
04:29oh my gosh, this is going to go bad so quickly,
04:31much like when Chris Jericho tried to take on Brock Lesnar.
04:35Now look, fair play to Jericho,
04:37that takes some cojones,
04:38but as he has said too,
04:40he would have died.
04:41Number 5, Paul Orndorff vs. Tony Atlas.
04:43So I suppose in many ways,
04:45this would be big men slapping man meat.
04:47It's also flubbing ridiculous.
04:49Because even though it was Paul Orndorff and Tony Atlas,
04:51who are basically legends when it comes to pro wrestling,
04:53they had a falling out over Legrum.
04:57Oh dear.
04:58Brian Blair, who was also in this vehicle though,
04:59managed to recount all of this,
05:01and said that Atlas was in a bad poof anyway,
05:03as he sat around going,
05:05oh man, apart from Andre the Giant,
05:07nobody could beat me up for real.
05:09So he's 10.
05:10This irked Paul as I suppose he saw himself as somewhat of a tough guy,
05:13and tensions got so high,
05:15Orndorff also decided,
05:17well Mr. Atlas,
05:18I don't appreciate how much your seat is reclined.
05:23That is silly.
05:24This was the tipping point though,
05:25because the car was pulled over,
05:27and they did get into a fight with Tony Atlas being suplexed on the ground,
05:30and it got so out of control,
05:31the flipping police turned out.
05:33They were able to break this up and calm everybody down,
05:35and I suppose from a kayfabe point of view,
05:37at least they were protecting the business.
05:39So all this feels totally unnecessary,
05:40but I do get it.
05:41Remember when you're in a plane,
05:42and the person in front of you puts their seat back?
05:45Like they're allowed to do it,
05:46but deep down you think,
05:47what a dick.
05:48Number four,
05:49Bill Goldberg versus Evan Courageous.
05:51Or Cara Gruis,
05:52as I like to call him,
05:53mostly because it winds everybody up.
05:55As ever though,
05:56this was sparked from nothing,
05:57and happened before a Nitro taping in 2000,
05:59when Evan walked up to Goldberg,
06:01and went to shake his hand,
06:02which is the way in wrestling,
06:04and when Goldberg went,
06:05no I don't want to shake it,
06:07Courageous went absolutely nuts,
06:09and he hit him.
06:10What a stupid idea.
06:11Billy was so wound up by this,
06:12he grabbed Courageous,
06:13and just threw him all around the room,
06:14and I think this actually escalated,
06:16because Bill was trying to apologise to him,
06:18and Evan said,
06:19no it's not good enough.
06:20Now the Insane Clown Posse have added more to this,
06:22because apparently they witnessed it,
06:24and they were like, no,
06:25actually what happened,
06:26is that Bill Goldberg and Evan Courageous,
06:28were going to shake hands,
06:30but before they did this,
06:31Bill took his hand,
06:32and he rubbed it on his crotch.
06:34What?
06:35They also made it clear,
06:36that Doug Dillinger,
06:37who was the head of WCW security,
06:38saw all of this,
06:39but decided to do nothing.
06:40So next time you're wondering,
06:42why World Championship Wrestling died?
06:44Exhibit 9.
06:45Number 3, Rob Van Dam vs. Taz.
06:47So as the story goes,
06:48Taz was on such a role in ECW,
06:50as he played the role of the tough guy,
06:52he started to believe his own hype.
06:53Now look,
06:54don't get me wrong,
06:55the man could kick many people's asses,
06:56but in terms of the backstage atmosphere,
07:00RVD was one of these guys,
07:02so when Taz apparently got upset,
07:03with the November to Remember 1998 main event,
07:06which was RVD vs. Sabu vs. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Chris Candido,
07:10he went up to RVD,
07:12and he told him.
07:13Now look, if you have seen that match,
07:14no, it did not go to plan,
07:16but allegedly,
07:17Taz said to Rob,
07:18which one of my hands do you want me to smack you with,
07:21when Van Dam decided,
07:22I've had enough of this,
07:23and he clocked him one instead.
07:25It didn't get much further than a couple of blows,
07:26because it was broken up,
07:27but how many times do I have to say this?
07:29Use your words, my friends.
07:31Your words.
07:32Not a huge surprise this happened backstage at ECW,
07:34because apparently these things were rife there,
07:36but maybe that's why it was kind of good they were under the radar.
07:39Nobody really heard about it.
07:41Number 2, Vince McMahon vs. Harley Race.
07:43So as we know and have seen,
07:44Vince McMahon isn't scared of anybody.
07:47He probably should be,
07:48so he's got a problem with you,
07:49he'll just tell you.
07:50It's likely why he was able to control a wrestling company for so long.
07:53When we go back to 1983,
07:55and he was trying to kill Jim Crockett promotions,
07:57he went to Harley Race,
07:58who was a huge star over there,
08:00and he was like,
08:01hey King,
08:02why don't you no-show Starrcade?
08:04It was all Vince's way to try and prove that the WWF was the best promotion in the world.
08:08But I don't think he thought this through,
08:10because one,
08:11Harley was knee-deep in the NWA,
08:13and two,
08:14he had money invested in the company.
08:16The story goes though,
08:17McMahon was so livid,
08:18he was turned down.
08:19He tried to double leg Harley Race,
08:21who basically sidestepped him,
08:23picked him up,
08:24told him to calm down.
08:25That was that.
08:26I assume McMahon just stormed off after that,
08:28because he must have been absolutely livid,
08:30whereas Harley Race probably sat down,
08:32and just smoked a cigar.
08:34The man was pretty damn cool.
08:35Number 1,
08:36the other backstage AEW fight.
08:37So I never want to talk about all the AEW CM Punk stuff again,
08:40because I think it has been done to death,
08:42and also,
08:43he seems to be flourishing in his career.
08:45AEW is really good,
08:46let's keep the positivity going.
08:47There was a massive plus though,
08:49because if you weren't him,
08:50you could just get into as many scraps as you wanted,
08:53and nobody would report about it,
08:55because everyone was talking about CM Punk.
08:56Now to be fair,
08:57the one we're going to talk about today happened way before
08:59he ever debuted with the company,
09:01and actually was going down on AEW's fourth ever show.
09:04It all stemmed from some bad beef between B Priestley and Sadie Gibbs,
09:08with the former saying the latter left the Japanese tour earlier,
09:11with the latter saying to the former,
09:12that's not true at all,
09:13leave me alone.
09:14It all apparently led to some stiff shots being thrown in the casino battle royale at All Out 2019,
09:19and then continued when we got backstage.
09:21I mean the story went that Sadie went for beat after this to try and teach her a lesson,
09:25but actually when you dive into it,
09:27there's not too much smoke,
09:29so I wouldn't totally believe the fire.
09:31Do not get me wrong though,
09:32the bad blood was absolutely real,
09:34and you can see it play out live on social media.
09:36But otherwise,
09:37let's remember that being friends is better than being enemies,
09:40so let's just spread love all over the place.
09:43That sounds terrible.
09:44Now make sure you click the video on the screen,
09:46which is the 10 most random WWE appearances ever,
09:49and you won't believe some of them.
09:51like the video,
09:52share the video,
09:53and subscribe.
09:54Otherwise,
09:55have a lovely day my friends,
09:56and I'll see you soon.
