Personne n'aurais misé sur elle avant la course en ligne Elites Femmes, mais c'est bien Magdeleine Vallieres qui est devenue championne du monde sur route ce samedi à Kigali à la surprise générale ! A 24 ans, la Québecquoise a connu son jour de gloire sur le circuit rwandais, profitant de l'enterrement de première classe entre les favorites avant de dominer toutes les coureuses qui l'accompagnaient à l'avant, dans un groupe de 10 attaquantes qui s'était fait la malle à 35 bornes de l'arrivée. Opportuniste, audacieuse et inarrêtable dans la montée pavée finale de Kimihurura, la coureuse de l'équipe EF Education-Oatly ne doit rien à personne et a réalisé une performance exceptionnelle qui lui offre le maillot arc-en-ciel... pour sa 2e victoire seulement en carrière ! La première Canadienne a remporté ce titre mondial (un beau symbole à un an des Mondiaux 2026 à Montreal) avait forcément un peu de mal à réaliser après l'arrivée. 01:52last climb i decided the no regrets i just go all in and yeah then i i just went to the finish as hard
