Flooded roads in Chattanooga turn into waterways as man kayaks during heavy rain

Some people don’t let even natural disasters ruin their day, and this video is proof of that.

"Chattanooga had a bad rainstorm on 8/12/2025, causing flooding," the filmer, Lindsey, told WooGlobe. "This is a video of the flooding and a man riding a kayak in the flooded water."

While the makeshift kayaking is certainly the highlight of the clip, a close second is the sight of a restaurant remaining open for business at a time when most people in the area would prefer staying indoors.
