00:00Progressing very well. The first section that will be opened is Surat to Bilimora. This is a 50 km stretch. If you look at the station, the Surat station is today, entire civil work is completed. And now the finishing work and the utilities work is going on. This is very good progress. If you look at all the tracks which are getting connected, which are getting laid here, the track laying work is progressing very well.
00:28This is today the first turn out has been installed here in Surat station on the bullet train project. This is the first turn out. Turn out is the place where the tracks either join or they separate. A lot of new technologies have been used here. For example, these roller bearings on which the track will move. This is again a totally new technology which we are using.
00:51The girder is, the sleepers are made of composite material unlike the concrete sleepers. The speed potential of the main line is 320 kmph. And on the loop line, so if you look at the station of Surat, there are two main lines in between.
01:10And there are two loop lines, one on each side of the station. So on the loop line, the speed will be 80 kmph. So this is very complex movement of trains. That's why the most modern technologies have been used.
01:24A lot of vibration absorption mechanisms have been created here. If you look at the utility cables, there is a damper which will take the vibrations whenever the train is moving at 320 kmph.
01:37And even within the tracks, there are many mechanisms which absorb any vibration. There are very special safety features on the track so that the train is very stable and even if there is a very heavy gust of wind or there is a certain earthquake, then also the train remains stable.
01:58Overall, overall, the progress of the first bullet train project in our country is very good. The first section within this bullet train project will open in 2027 between Surat and Bilimura, the 50 km section.
02:13So we are preparing for that. And by 2028, between Thane and Ahmedabad, the entire section would be open, commissioned. And by 2029, between Mumbai to Ahmedabad, the entire section will be open.
02:27Once this train is operational, the distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be reduced to just about 2 hours and 7 minutes. That is the time after stoppages, after taking all the stoppages into account, it will be 2 hours and 7 minutes.
02:45So practically, we are here in Surat today. So practically, from Surat, you can go to Mumbai in 1 hour, complete your work and come back and have time with your family.
02:57Same thing, from Ahmedabad, you can go to Mumbai in 2 hours, complete your work and then spend time with your family.
03:06So this is really a very important project. The economies of Surat, the economies of all the major cities, starting from Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane, Wapi, Surat, Bauda, Anand, Ahmedabad, they will all become one single economy.
03:27So there is going to be a huge regional growth. The kind of regional growth that we witnessed in Japan, when the first bullet train project was done there, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka, they all became single economy.
03:42And there was very big multiplier in the entire area. And we hope to start work on the new projects very soon. In our party's manifesto, we had promised 3 more corridors, one in north, one in east and one in south.
04:02This Mumbai, Ahmedabad is in the western part of the country. So all the entire country, we will have 4 corridors, bullet train corridors as we go forward.
04:15Thank you, sir.
