00:00And always a reminder for myself and abdukul ajeeza wa daeefa wa miskin wa zalim wa jahal.
00:15And but for the grace of Allah that we are still in existence, we took a path in which
00:20to be nothing and alhamdulillah Allah's greatest ni'mat is to guide the servant, guide
00:28to the reality of La ilaha illallah and then Allah guides to what Allah loves and opens
00:38then the reality of Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ.
00:43As a result then Prophet ﷺ will guide that servant towards the lovers of that reality
00:50and these are the turuqs and the rose gardens of reality and ishq in which they teach humanity
00:57how to traverse this path of thorns and this life that we live and that to successfully
01:06succeed and to reach the apex of the path which is the presence of the rose and the beautific
01:14fragrance of the rose through all the crushings of this physical world and testings and difficulties
01:22on how to reach towards that reality.
01:26And always a reminder for myself that somebody had asked that, how do you know when something
01:31is a test or something is a punishment?
01:38And for us we focus with the good and when we clearly know that we are trying our best
01:47to do good and life has all of its ups and downs and making good choices, bad choices,
01:55better choices.
01:56So everything is based on the good for that type of servant.
02:00If they're completely in Allah's oceans of anger they don't need to ask that question,
02:05they know they're in a ocean of difficulty and turmoil.
02:10With understandings that every test that comes it's a matter of passing the test so that
02:18it doesn't become a punishment and they say that the punishment is a means in which the
02:24servant will draw away from Allah's guidance and Allah's Divinely lights.
02:29And the test is that which draws them clearer but even more understanding in that reality
02:36is that when Allah wants the servant to pass the test they have to be enrolled in the school
02:44of how to take a test.
02:48And that's the great ni'mat and that's the great blessings that God has given to the tariqs.
02:55He knows that those path of these people are going to be strenuous.
03:02But He doesn't just put them into something strenuous without any ability and any training.
03:09Those whom are guided towards that reality Allah guides them that go and sit with these
03:15people who know and they live a life of testing.
03:20And they give you the faculties and the abilities and all of the training on how to open your
03:29heart, how to sit and contemplate your heart, how to connect and get the guidance in a time
03:36where you feel there is no guidance and all that surround you is difficult.
03:42They teach of the inner path and the inner reality and surviving is.
03:48Without that life is just the amount of difficulties piled on top of each other.
03:54Imagine if you have difficulty and no one trains you or gives you an opportunity to train on
03:59what reality is, how to connect your heart, how to get clarification, how to take an accounting
04:06of oneself from the difficulties that surround us.
04:12And that's the reality of the tariqs.
04:14When they're teaching tafakkur and teaching contemplation and then opening a line that extends towards
04:21humanity by contacting and emailing and then trying to get your guidance.
04:26Because as soon as they have difficulty they should have been trained on how to sit and
04:39connect their heart.
04:41When they connect their heart they can begin to understand that, Ya Rabbi let me go through
04:46my hisab and go through each thing and why is that difficulty coming to me?
04:53When they've been trained on how to take an accounting and they go line item, line item
04:58where everything is.
05:00You know it's like when your books and accounting are not balanced.
05:04Anyone with basic schooling and basic business school is taught basic accounting, that the
05:11credit, debit they have to match and every field has to match.
05:15When something is not equal in an account you take your hisab, you go back and you try
05:20to look where did I not understand what happened, that I not check something off, that I put
05:27it in the wrong category.
05:29And that's what's the hisab and that's what they call taking a hisab and account of ourselves.
05:35Is that when things are not going and we know they're not going right then we're supposed
05:40to stay vigilant at night and begin to take our accounting.
05:44That what is it that I've done Ya Rabbi where where is my account in the wrong field something
05:49has happened and then they're vigilant vigilant vigilant over everything until they can find.
05:56They find what Allah is not pleased with, they find what Prophet ﷺ is not pleased with.
06:03And if it's not finding something that's not pleased with they can find what Allah expected
06:09more of them and that's why the difficulty came, Allah expected something more from them.
06:16They should have been doing their wazifahs, their du'as, their awrads, all these practices.
06:23And that's what then makes the test to become survivable and it's no longer punishment.
06:31When you're not meditating, when you're not contemplating, you view the world as just a series of punishments.
06:38Why is this happening?
06:41And most people like, really why?
06:44The shaykh can go line item for you but they don't ever do that because people will run
06:48away from the tariqahs.
06:51But everybody should take their own hisab that what is Allah not pleased with, you know
06:56what could I have done better, what should I be doing more on a daily basis.
07:01When I have that character and have that understanding every test comes and draws the servant
07:08closer to the Divinely Presence.
07:11Because they realize this is with love that Allah is giving them isharat, giving them a
07:16test.
07:17Allah wants them to pass the test, Allah doesn't test His servant to fail them.
07:25But they only fail when they don't have the tools and they didn't take the precautions
07:30that were necessary.
07:31It's funny people are putting out on Facebook that, what does shaykh say about COVID?
07:37What are we supposed to do about the COVID and what are we supposed to recite and drink
07:42again?
07:43And we're for one year, and these are people who have been following all the time, and for
07:48one year you're wondering where were they?
07:52When we were talking about ginger, when we were talking about turmeric, when we talked about
07:56the vitamins, when we talked about ayatul kursi, hello where were you?
08:01It was not of any importance to you probably, you didn't write anything.
08:04So now when the test came you don't know why you're in difficulty and you're frantically
08:10trying to look where is it, where is it, where is it?
08:14And that's also a sign because it's a school where the principals are watching, the deen,
08:20the big bosses above are watching.
08:22How come you don't take the school seriously and you only take it serious when calamity
08:27visits you, then that you're one of those reactive and this we have to put a note.
08:34Reactive people they're not from an ocean of love yet, proactive they have muhabbat and
08:44love and they do whatever they do out of a love for Allah.
08:49They don't want to disappoint Allah so we don't, this is very important to understand.
08:55Reactive character and proactive character it shows which ocean are you moving from and
09:02stimulated from.
09:04Proactive you're doing it out of love, you don't want to disappoint your lord, you don't
09:10want to disappoint Prophet ﷺ and you try and you struggle with yourself and you're continuously
09:16trying to do good and do good, this is a servant that's on their way to sincerity and love.
09:24Then the reactive character is more based on punishment and fear which is completely the
09:32opposite ocean of love and muhabbat.
09:35That they operate from fear, they operate from punishment coming, difficulty coming, fear
09:42that it's going to be a lot worse and then they will begin to do something.
09:48Onto one day they just give up entirely and they kind of drift away from everything and
09:53surrender themselves into the oceans of difficulty and a series of bad choices.
10:00So just by how people are reacting and moving their lives these shaykhs can tell that you're
10:08not acting from a notion of love and trying to please Allah ashamed to displease Prophet ﷺ.
10:17So we pray that Allah give us a more proactive approach in life and that to lift ourself from
10:25always just reacting to difficulties but proactive, take your notes, read the du'as.
10:31When he says that this du'a is for this you write it down in your notes, when this drink
10:36is for this all of these things.
10:38Don't use your head that you know my head doesn't think that that's logical, doesn't
10:43matter what logic is.
10:44If the shaykh tell you to drink that reality you drink from it Allah will make it to have
10:49a blessing and a barakah and you act it on your faith and that's important.
10:59Told the story of the world and doctors without orders that had traveled all over the world and
11:06they went to a Muslim village.
11:08And they said that every day we're here everybody help and they met all these better ones and
11:13they were saying that, here we're going to write you prescription and go over there and
11:17get your medicine.
11:18So they were writing prescription, prescription until they came across one Sufi and he's
11:23waiting smiling and you know very joyful from whatever difficulty he has and that doctor
11:28writes a prescription, he takes the prescription put on his head, he's thankful Allah sent the
11:33head mad and he walks away.
11:35Then couple days later the doctors are reviewing the people in the village and they see the
11:41man again and say, how's everything did you take your medicine you look like you're much
11:45healthier everything's good.
11:46He said, no I feel fantastic.
11:48And through the interpreter he's explaining and he said, what happened?
11:50He said, I took the prescription I put it in water I drank it and mashallah next day
11:55Allah made me better.
11:56Yeah, I mean it's based on faith, who's the one who heals us anyways?
12:05It's not the medicine that heals but it's the faith of the one taking it that Allah will
12:10grant them a shifa, Allah will grant them a means in which to be well, doesn't mean
12:16don't take your medicine because you have to because you're not at that level of faith.
12:20But these are the story of these awliya that they have such immense faith that they know
12:25Allah's blessing is in everything and Allah by whatever means possible Allah will save
12:31them, dress them and bless them.
12:34We pray that Allah keep us always in a notion of love and muhabbat and we do what we do
12:39for the love of Allah , love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, love of awliyaullah, love of
12:45the holy companions, love of Ahlul Bayt.
12:48That whatever we're doing we hope on these holy nights they dress us, they bless us and
12:53that they have pity upon our souls from wherever they're watching us.
12:56They're asking Allah and Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, have pity upon them Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasulul
13:02Kareem.
13:03Trust them and bless them, take every type of sickness and difficulty away from them.
13:11Take every type of shijjah of the rizq and every type of difficulty coming to them Ya Rabbi
13:16take that away from them, the lights of Islam, the lights of Iman and the lights of Maqam
13:20al-Assan inshaAllah.
13:21Bi Hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
