00:00Now I think sometimes you you okay let's say you've got a calf strain or hamstring or even
00:18a zeal very simple very easy sometimes it's just a little bit more tricky so this is a little bit
00:24more tricky without being a problem. I expect him back as soon as possible true
00:45still not a big thing yeah yeah I agree I think that was one of the big areas that we looked into
01:08when we came in and I think I see it as I think like a holistic picture because it's between the
01:22coaching department the performance department and the medical department and it can't be like
01:26three departments not communicating to each other you need to be three constantly communicating back
01:31and forth it's how we train how well we train and how we we plan that I think all that so far it's been
01:39good and as you said touch wood we have not any we think any soft tissue or muscle injuries which are
01:47the big ones that we would like to avoid we have had a injury to call moani that's like a dead leg
01:54contact injury and then we have Dom miss miss kicking a ball so two relatively unlucky ones so can we can we nail
02:04and get on top of the soft tissue and muscle injury probably impossible to completely get you know not
02:10have any of those injuries but so far so good and we were very aware of it
02:15I think it's work loading training it's not not not not how can you say um too little definitely
02:29enough intense because we train intense we want to play intense um then I think it's all about the
02:34planning I think it's gym I think it's recovery I think it's a lot of things
02:37you're building out big picture in the game
02:41injuries that work 10 points in the league right yeah the team that clean it in terms of injuries
02:45or the one to finish line oh one thousand percent there's no no way if we have plus 90
02:51percent availability it's so important thank you you're welcome
02:55I suppose cynics might say you know anyone who they would say that until suddenly it's solved
03:11you put yourself into a stronger position you said you spoke to the Lewis family can you give fans
03:19sort of a bit more not assurance but from your feeling for them the feeling of how invested they
03:27are very very invested invested um 120 percent committed and to the club um really want to achieve
03:41something um special want to build want to add um and again I think I like like the phrase of building
03:49layers because you never you never go to the top you can't jump uh five steps uh that's impossible
03:56so building layers I think is very important I think there's also more organic and more sustainable
04:01over time but they're very very focused on and do what they can to help the club and team
04:11but the basis of the success so far this season's been getting that solid defensive structure and
04:17they're going to start to add you know you're going to play a slight of gel but Xavi in the last few
04:23games he's really started to show this about the strings in the field at Brentford you've had
04:29Christian Eriksen who's a wonderful player here except he seems a great player you see a comparison
04:35there with Xavi and what do you think he can bring to this team that we haven't seen so far
04:41once and three um I think he got that how can you say he got a few things I would say I like
04:50it like his composure in in position so he um every single time he received the ball he got seems like
04:56he got half a second more uh before he passed it or um yeah to take players on um so I like that a lot I
05:05think the way he also can see passes not many others are seeing um I think is important and also
05:11the way he carries the ball forward um I think is a key thing so I think those are the the the big
05:16things and then of course he will arrive and score goals and all that but I think those three things
05:21are key areas
05:22um yeah I think I think they're a little bit a little bit different um I think um I think Christian
05:33was uh maybe even um how can you say they're both playmakers different type of playmakers I think
05:42now also I try to remember there's a few of course I had him when he was 17 or something now so but he
05:49I think he was in a way a little bit deeper um um playmaker and and I think Eriksen's longer longer
05:56play was exceptional I you know I think when he was here outside the box when he found the alley in the
06:01box uh you know those crosses I think the balls in behind I think exceptional I think he's finishing
06:06outside the box was exception for Eriksen where Xavi is maybe a little bit more in between lines ball
06:12carriers more one-on-one player uh than Eriksen but both of them very good players
06:26yeah I think Michael Corfield was um and and is a fantastic uh important person for for Brentford I
06:44know um he also does things a little bit different um and he's a big believer of that ability to talk
06:51uh and talk with people and uh the best example is his bench uh at Brentford training ground where
06:57you sit and talk uh and you sit and interact and I think that's just a lovely thing I think that's for
07:02all of us and what what's the best thing we that's probably a um a chat with a with a loved one or with
07:08anyone uh and anyone that actually asks you a question how are you not not always joking with
07:14breeze how are you you know we always say I'm good I'm good I'm good but but no really how are you um
07:19and how's the family or how's work and maybe ask maybe a few more questions that's just how are you
07:25I think that that can make the difference and um I think uh as a psychologist yes very important but
07:31I think we all have a responsibility to um to do that yeah and leadership mentor is is a
07:52older chap uh in in Denmark that I've known for years um and used regularly the last
07:59last eight years something like that um and that's more about leadership um of course if
08:05have any any any you have so many decisions and so many situations you need to deal with but
08:11good to have another one to speak with um I think personally for me my wife is very important to speak
08:17to about that and of course also friends and then I think to then then you also speak to some of the
08:25English coaches here you can always use that um but I think the one I spoke to speak the most to is
08:30is Casper Juhlmann is the former Danish manager that is now at Leverkusen because we like
08:36grown up in the Danish system have been head coaches for many years so have
08:40he's a very good friend and then he's a safe time of job and that that you can really relate to some of
08:45the the challenges we we could have
09:02um
09:13um I think that definitely I'm a big believer of always love to do some exercise so I do
09:21run three four times a week now I hope you get a paddle call soon Anthony we need to get down and
09:26you know play a little bit uh uh because I think just take your mind away um of course when you're
09:34running the mind can still go uh but but you it's just you just feel good after and you you always feel
09:41a little bit sorry for yourself when you're running but in the end it's good uh if you play let's say
09:45paddle or you do something I think that's social thing in it is is also uh good I think probably the
09:52next exercise we're going to mention is probably a little bit more difficult to do but when you're
09:56skiing and I'm skiing I love skiing when you're on top of the mountain and you're going downhill quite
10:01quick you cannot think about anything else that avoid uh crashing okay so I think that's also give
10:07you that mental uh break so I think I think exercise in general is good I've done worked with kids I
10:15worked with um kids and grown up with special needs you know just see sports being together just makes a
10:23difference so you know I know I'm in head coach for for Tottenham one of the biggest clubs in the
10:29world but I just love the game and I just love to see when when everyone is attacking old uh people
10:36kids everyone they just that that's why it's such a big game
10:40finish your map
10:53I think yeah I think it'd be relatively quick um but but it's always a little bit difficult to
10:59to guess about I I like what I've seen um so far for him I like the the price in half an hour because
11:05he was arriving in some of the areas we wanted to having two good chances uh could have said
11:10Richie out if not Lucas was not taking the path away from him but um and I said the West Ham game
11:17I think was promising I think there's also good moments against Doncaster where he's driving the ball
11:21forward uh um setting up Wilson setting up a few situations so I think you'll just yeah more and more
11:29I think you you're playing with new teammates that that relationship is important so you need to
11:33understand when he's coming he's actually oh and then I'm playing Interfeetor he was actually going
11:37away uh but so that that bit is is important
11:48I think the biggest adjustment is probably the intensity in the Premier League and that that's
11:54difficult to work with in training of course we try to train with intensity when we train but because
11:59we play uh quite a few amount of games there's not many where we can have that uh bit but but when
12:05we can we try to get intensity and so so I think for me for me it's just for him to not adapt but get used
12:13to more and more uh of that uh yeah I think I think it's important to be visible I think if you are
12:31owner or you are a leader or you're something I think it's important to be visible so so people can
12:35see you um so I think it's positive okay thank you very much thank you guys thank you thank you
