00:00السalamualaikum everyone. Welcome back to my channel. If you're new here, my name is Kharijah.
00:05Today I'm going to be making a video about Fajph prayer, the importance of Fajph prayer and how to wake up for it.
00:11I'm going to be honest with you, Fajph can be really hard.
00:15It's hard for a lot of people to pray it on time, to wake up for it on time.
00:20And the thing is, we all know that it's important.
00:22And I'm going to just emphasize that a little bit more in this video.
00:25We all know it's important.
00:27But when the alarm goes off,
00:29it's kind of, I don't know why,
00:31for some reason.
00:33أستغفر الله ،
00:35أنت ترغب على هكذا الصغرات.
00:37So yeah.
00:39You know I've been there before.
00:41Still there sometimes.
00:43But in this video I'm going to tell you
00:45I'm sure why فشبير
00:47is so powerful, how it can literally
00:49change your life.
00:51And I'm going to give you guys some practical tips
01:21So, a brief explanation, brief tafsir for this ayah
01:25It explains that the Quran of dawn refers to, you know, the fashj prayer and its recitation
01:33When you recite a fashj prayer, you say fathah and whatever surah you choose, right?
01:38And this fashj prayer and this recitation is witnessed by the angels of the night and by the angels of the day
01:46So this means that when you wake up for fajr prayer, there are two groups of angels that are present with you when you are praying, when you wake up for it, you know, just when you're praying, okay?
01:57And they're recording your good deeds as well.
02:00Another verse that emphasizes the importance of fajr and the night's prayer kind of alongside this ayah is in Surah Al-Imran, where Allah says,
02:11and those who seek forgiveness before dawn. It's a very simple ayah. This is the translation.
02:17The tafsir for this ayah is that this ayah describes the believers who wake up for fajr and seek Allah's mercy, okay?
02:25It's, you know, the early hours before the sunrise are the time of the most barakah, the most blessings.
02:34And they are an opportunity, a wider opportunity for dua'a to get accepted.
02:38SubhanAllah. So, yeah.
02:42There's just a, like, a couple, two things about fajr prayer and the importance of it.
02:46There's so much more in the Qur'an, and I can pull it up for you, and hadiths and all this.
02:51So, yeah, here are the hadiths.
02:53So, not only is fajr mentioned in the Qur'an, and we know that basically tells, okay, fajr is important.
03:00It also protects your heart and it protects your soul.
03:03And it's not just about praying, as I said. It's protection, right?
03:09So, the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said,
03:13whoever prays the dawn prayer is under Allah's protection.
03:16So, basically, as I mentioned, this means, pretty obvious, but,
03:20this means that your day is basically covered, okay?
03:23You start with blessings.
03:24You start with peace and a sense of purpose, as well, okay?
03:29It clears your mind, it softens your heart, and it keeps you away from negativity.
03:34And it keeps you, yeah, protects you from, like, minor sins, basically.
03:41And, you know, waking up early in general, let's be honest, just makes you feel better.
03:46You feel so much more refreshed, you feel more productive, gives you more time,
03:52and it sets the tone for the day.
03:53Not just, even for non-Muslims, this is just how waking up early makes you feel.
03:58And there's actually, I'm not going to pull it out right now, but I have this book.
04:01It's called 5 a.m. Club.
04:02It's not Islamic at all, but it talks about waking up at 5 a.m.
04:06and these two people basically go to this island and this person,
04:10a therapist or something, teaching them the importance of waking up early.
04:15This is basically the same thing, Muslim style, okay?
04:19Sigh for why I don't know if that wasn't bad to say.
04:21But, anyways, yeah, it makes you feel better, okay?
04:25Another thing I want to mention is that it is very dangerous to fall through, like, this trap
04:30into thinking that missing Fejj prayer means that the rest of your prayers for the day
04:35are pointless, okay?
04:38This is just the shaitan, like, whispering these thoughts to make you abandon Salah even more.
04:45You know, it's making you abandon it completely.
04:48But this mindset, though, is not from Islam.
04:51Islam is about persistence, it's about striving, and turning back to Allah,
04:55even when we fall short and when we miss a prayer, okay?
04:59When we miss Fejj prayer.
05:00So, the first thing, okay?
05:02Allah's mercy is greater than our mistakes, okay?
05:07Allah does not expect perfection from us.
05:09We are humans, we are meant to make mistakes,
05:12we are meant to, you know, fall into sin,
05:15and we're meant to repent and do all these things.
05:17But, however, He does expect effort.
05:19So, for example, if, say I pray, and, um, I missed, I was planning to pray this morning,
05:28I was going to start praying all five prayers and all this stuff,
05:30and I wake up, or I don't wake up for Fejj prayer, okay?
05:33I miss Fejj prayer.
05:35And then I say, you know what?
05:36I'll start tomorrow, because, khalas.
05:39Like, I've ruined it for myself.
05:41I didn't wake up for Fejj, I didn't pray for Fejj.
05:43I can't pray the rest of the prayers.
05:44This is, again, from the shaitan, okay?
05:47Um, and Allah says in the Qur'an,
05:51Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night.
05:56Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds.
06:00That is a reminder for those who remember.
06:03So this ayah, it shows that even if we make mistakes,
06:07continuing with good deeds, like praying the remaining prayers,
06:10can erase our shortcomings.
06:11I want to make it known that missing Fejj prayer is not an excuse
06:18to abandoning all the other prayers, okay?
06:23But instead, it's actually a, like, kind of like, a bigger reason
06:28to hold on to the rest of your prayers for the day
06:31and to make up for missing your last prayer.
06:34So that's the one thing I want to say.
06:36The second thing I want to say is that Prophet Muhammad SAW,
06:39He taught us to keep going after our mistakes.
06:42He said, whoever oversleeps and misses a prayer or forgets it,
06:47let him pray when he remembers,
06:48for there is no expectation for it other than that.
06:53I think I read that wrong. It's fine.
06:55So this hadith shows that missing Fejj
06:57does not mean that the entire day is ruined, okay?
07:01And instead, we should make up the missed prayer
07:05when we remember, oh, we missed it.
07:07But if you intentionally miss it, it's a different story.
07:08But still, like, make up the rest of the prayers, okay?
07:12You miss the prayer, you remember it, you re-pray it,
07:16or you pray it again, okay?
07:17And you continue with what we are meant to do for the rest of the day.
07:20We continue to pray the other prayers.
07:22And Islam does not teach this all-or-nothing approach.
07:26It teaches repentance and persistence and consistency and all this stuff.
07:32Like, there's a lot of people who have this mindset
07:34where I am going to put 100% in.
07:38If I can't put 100% in, I'm not submitting at all.
07:41This is not Islamic mindset at all.
07:44We are supposed to, if we mess up once,
07:46we're supposed to just keep going, try again, do better.
07:50That's just how it works, okay?
07:52So, yeah.
07:54The third thing I want you guys to keep in mind
07:56is that perfectionism can be a tool of the shaitan.
07:59It is a tool.
08:00It can be, it is a tool of the shaitan.
08:03And the mindset, like I just mentioned,
08:05if I can't do it perfectly, I won't do it all.
08:08It's actually, it's just a deception.
08:09It's just the shaitan uses this perfectionism mindset
08:13to push people away from obedience to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
08:18He knows that if you think you must perfect
08:21in your prayers,
08:23you'll eventually give up when you fall short.
08:25That means, like you, like I just mentioned,
08:28I prayed, I didn't pray in fesh,
08:29I'm not going to pray at all.
08:30I'm going to start praying tomorrow again.
08:32And I'm just going to keep being a cycle.
08:34You say you're going to pray, but you don't pray.
08:35And I think this fesh is the start of the day.
08:37So that's your, that's your first goal.
08:39So if you mess up your first goal,
08:40it's like the shaitan knows that you won't keep going.
08:43Obviously, for some people, right?
08:44So it's just the shaitan's whispering in your ear.
08:48He's just playing with your head
08:49because he wants you to fall short.
08:51That's what he, that's his goal.
08:52That is his goal.
08:53He doesn't want you to be closer to Allah.
08:55and this is kind of off topic.
08:58It's not off topic, so off topic.
09:00But the shaitan does not go to people
09:04who their iman is low.
09:07He goes to people who their iman is high
09:08because he wants to push them away
09:11from Allah and the Quran
09:12and the teachings and everything, okay?
09:16He goes to the people that are closest to Allah.
09:21But with the people that their iman is low,
09:23he doesn't really,
09:23he already did his job.
09:26They are already far away.
09:29I don't want to say that.
09:31I feel like that's...
09:31But that's just how it works.
09:34So if you, if you're a iman,
09:36mashaAllah is high,
09:38you are very close to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
09:40he is most likely to come and try to test you
09:42and try to, you know, play with your mind
09:45and, you know, do all these things.
09:47But anyways, so when the shaitan comes
09:51and whispers these things
09:52and he knows that you're a perfectionist person
09:54and you don't pray and all this stuff,
09:56you're just going to fall short.
09:58You're just going to not pray at all, okay?
10:00And Allah does not expect perfection,
10:02as I said, as I mentioned.
10:04He just expects sincerity.
10:05He expects effort.
10:06That's all.
10:06And the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said,
10:11the most beloved deeds to Allah
10:13are those that are consistent,
10:15even if they are small.
10:16This is in Sahih al-Bukhari.
10:19It is 6,464.
10:21Wow, mashaAllah.
10:22So yeah, consistency is key.
10:24It's not perfection.
10:25And even if you missed Fajj prayer,
10:26the remaining four prayers,
10:28it keeps the perfection.
10:29Allah is strong.
10:30It keeps it stronger, you know?
10:31So you have to pray.
10:32You can't be,
10:33oh, I missed, you know,
10:35this is the point of this whole thing.
10:37Other thing, fourth thing, okay?
10:39Islam is about submission,
10:41even when it's not perfect.
10:44Even when you feel like you do things wrong
10:47and you can't really say that you are,
10:50wow, like a Muslim and all this stuff.
10:53It's not, it's about submission, okay?
10:55But you don't have to be perfect.
10:58Obviously, our goal is to be close to perfect,
11:00but there is no perfect.
11:02You don't have to be perfect.
11:03It's just about effort.
11:05It's about, you know,
11:07having it in your heart
11:08and putting the effort to, you know,
11:12show, you know,
11:14your worship and all this stuff.
11:16So yeah,
11:17the very definition of Islam
11:19is submission to Allah, okay?
11:22If a person only prays when they can do it
11:24perfectly,
11:27they are not truly submitting, okay?
11:28They are making their own conditions bad
11:31and they are for obedience
11:32and the true submission, okay?
11:35It means praying even when it's hard.
11:38Praying even when you don't have the time to get up
11:41or you feel like you,
11:42obviously we all have the time,
11:43there's no excuse.
11:44But you feel like you don't have the time to get up,
11:46you're busy,
11:46you're tired,
11:47you're all this.
11:47because it is when you get up
11:49and you force yourself to pray,
11:53even force yourself to pray,
11:55do it because
11:56it's just about praying
11:59even when it's hard, okay?
12:01And even when we have made mistakes
12:03and even when we feel unworthy,
12:05we have to go,
12:07get up and pray, you know?
12:08It's just,
12:09Islam is very easy.
12:11Islam is meant to be easy.
12:13This dunya,
12:14this dunya,
12:15we're making it seem like
12:17that the dunya is easier.
12:19Islam is way,
12:20it's very easy.
12:21It's just simple rules we follow
12:23and eventually,
12:26when you keep this consistent,
12:27you know,
12:28pattern and habits in your life,
12:31it will just,
12:32it will be 100% easy for you.
12:34Everything will flow smoothly
12:36and when prayer is not in your life,
12:39prayer will not,
12:41you have to pray.
12:42It's an obligation, okay?
12:45And if you,
12:46you know,
12:47don't pray,
12:49you will notice,
12:50you will notice
12:50you are not as happy.
12:52You will notice that
12:53you feel like heavy in your chest.
12:56You will notice that.
12:57You notice a lot of things, okay?
12:58Just life is not going smoothly for you.
13:01And like,
13:02I've seen this in my own life.
13:04When I don't pray,
13:05this is how I feel,
13:06you know?
13:07So,
13:08Allah says,
13:09okay,
13:10He says in the Quran,
13:12say,
13:12O my servants
13:13who have transgressed
13:14against themselves
13:15by sinning,
13:17do not despair
13:17of the mercy of Allah.
13:19Indeed,
13:19Allah forgives all sins.
13:20Indeed,
13:21it is He who is forgiving
13:22the merciful.
13:23so this ayah
13:26is just a reminder.
13:28It's a reminder
13:29that even when we fall,
13:30we should never give up.
13:32And missing one prayer
13:33does not mean
13:33abandoning all of them.
13:35It means making an effort
13:36to do better
13:37and to actually,
13:39and you know,
13:40even practice your son of prayers too.
13:41I don't know.
13:42Just,
13:43just an effort.
13:43Just put more effort,
13:44okay?
13:45So basically,
13:46they're concluding,
13:47you know,
13:47why you shouldn't make an excuse.
13:49Keep going even if you fail,
13:50okay?
13:51Instead of saying,
13:52I already misfej,
13:53so what's the point?
13:54You have to just say,
13:55okay,
13:55I misfej,
13:56I want to pray the rest.
13:57So what?
13:58Go on with your day
13:59and you just,
14:01you know,
14:01whatever.
14:02So,
14:02yeah,
14:03every prayer
14:03is an opportunity
14:05to turn back to Allah.
14:07To reconnect
14:07and to seek His forgiveness,
14:09to seek His mercy,
14:10okay?
14:11Perfectionism
14:11is not the goal.
14:15Okay?
14:16Consistency
14:16and sincerity are.
14:18So that if you ever misfej,
14:19don't let it be
14:20the reason you miss
14:21all five prayers,
14:22let it be the reason
14:23you hold on
14:24to the rest of the prayers
14:25even tighter.
14:26You make sure you pray them.
14:28So,
14:29that's just,
14:30that's that.
14:31How do you actually
14:32wake up for a fetch
14:33without struggling?
14:34Oh, by the way,
14:35I'm looking at
14:35my paper here.
14:37So how do you actually
14:38wake up for fetch
14:39without struggling?
14:40Okay?
14:40This is the part
14:41that we all need to know
14:42how to actually wake up for fetch.
14:43So here are some hacks
14:45that I'm trying to implement
14:46into my life
14:47and I've actually seen
14:48progress in them
14:49that I'm going to share
14:50with you guys.
14:51So, yeah.
14:51Number one.
14:52Number one.
14:53Sleep early.
14:55Okay?
14:55If you're scrolling
14:56on your phone
14:57at 2 a.m.
14:58and you're just
14:59ha ha ha.
15:02You know?
15:03Why?
15:04There's no point.
15:05Okay?
15:05First of all,
15:06it's just not good
15:07for your health.
15:07You should,
15:08you should like
15:09actually get off your phone
15:11like I think
15:11an hour and a half
15:12before you sleep.
15:13But just,
15:14no,
15:16you don't need
15:16to be scrolling.
15:17Okay?
15:17If you want to
15:17wake up for fetch
15:18on time
15:19and actually pray
15:20and all this stuff,
15:22you need to sleep earlier.
15:23Okay?
15:23Wake up for fetch
15:24is not going to happen
15:25if you sleep
15:25at 5 a.m.
15:25Okay?
15:26So, try to sleep earlier
15:27so when you wake up,
15:29you're not exhausted.
15:30Second thing.
15:31Make dua before you sleep.
15:32Ask Allah to wake you up.
15:34Okay?
15:34The Prophet
15:34Muhammad s.w.
15:36He would say,
15:38this is the dua he would say,
15:39he would say,
15:40اللهم بارك لي
15:41في يومي
15:42وأعنا
15:43على قيام الليل
15:45والصبح.
15:46Okay?
15:47So, basically Allah,
15:48Oh Allah,
15:49bless my day
15:50and help me wake up
15:50for Fajr
15:51and for the night,
15:52for the night's prayer
15:53and for Fajr.
15:54Okay?
15:54So, that's number two.
15:57Number three,
15:58set multiple alarms.
15:59Okay?
15:59Don't snooze.
16:00Don't, don't snooze.
16:02Uh, a thing that helped me,
16:04which, I've heard this before,
16:06I know a lot of people do it,
16:07put your phone away from your bed.
16:08Like, for example,
16:09my bed's right here,
16:10my desk is right here,
16:11I can't really reach,
16:12I know I'm tall,
16:13but my arms,
16:14I'm not gonna do all that.
16:16Just get up, you know?
16:17I put it here,
16:18put the alarm,
16:19one,
16:20multiple alarms,
16:22and then when it goes,
16:24I get up,
16:25and I have to get up
16:26to actually turn it off.
16:27And that just,
16:28you know,
16:28wakes you up.
16:29So, it works for me,
16:30and I know it works for a lot of people,
16:32so try that,
16:32put it away from your bed,
16:33whether that be across the other room,
16:35whether that be in the hallway,
16:36outside your room,
16:36if you really have to.
16:38Uh, and just,
16:39you know,
16:39put your phone away,
16:41and I also have to get up
16:42and turn it off.
16:42number four,
16:44have a Fajj buddy.
16:46I just,
16:47accents,
16:48that was a really heavy accent.
16:50Anyways,
16:51have a Fajj buddy,
16:53okay?
16:53So, get a friend,
16:54or like a family member,
16:55to call you,
16:56or message you,
16:57at the time of Fajj.
16:59Prayer, you know?
17:00To make sure that you're awake,
17:01for Fajj.
17:02And it's just,
17:03sometimes just an extra push that we only,
17:04you know,
17:05it's just a little push.
17:06Um,
17:06I,
17:07like to ask my mom,
17:09my dad,
17:09my sister,
17:10you know,
17:11like,
17:11if I really feel like I won't wake up,
17:14I'll be like,
17:15dad,
17:15can you wake me up for Fajj?
17:16Mom,
17:17can you wake me up for Fajj?
17:18And,
17:18um,
17:19usually they do.
17:21Sometimes they don't,
17:22but,
17:22just have someone reliable,
17:24that will just wake you up for Fajj.
17:26Um,
17:28yeah,
17:28it's a Fajj buddy,
17:29that's what I call it.
17:30Anyways,
17:31fifth thing,
17:32remember the rewards,
17:33okay?
17:34So,
17:34keep,
17:35remind yourself of everything I told you in this video,
17:36but just remind yourself,
17:38why Fajj is worth it,
17:40why Fajj is important,
17:41uh,
17:42the Prophet,
17:43peace be upon him,
17:44said,
17:45the two lock eyes before Fajj prayer are the better in this world and all it contains.
17:50So,
17:50that's just,
17:51I don't have to explain that.
17:53Number six,
17:54be consistent.
17:55If you miss Fajj prayer,
17:57don't give up,
17:58okay?
17:58Keep trying,
17:59uh,
17:59and yeah,
18:00Allah sees your efforts,
18:01He sees your progress,
18:02and all that over perfection,
18:04okay?
18:05So,
18:06those are the six things that I use,
18:09tips I use.
18:09and it's,
18:11it's really like,
18:13remind yourself,
18:14as I said,
18:15remind yourself,
18:16the importance of Fajj,
18:18and just,
18:19understand prayer better.
18:21I really,
18:22I find that it helps as well,
18:23when you understand what you're saying in your prayer,
18:25when you understand like,
18:26the meanings of like,
18:28the surah you're saying,
18:29and just anything you're saying,
18:30because even like,
18:32when it comes to memorizing Quran,
18:34it's kind of,
18:35for me,
18:35at least,
18:36I learn better,
18:37when I understand the translation,
18:38and like,
18:40I know the translation of it,
18:41and I understand what it's saying,
18:42and I,
18:43I do read Quran,
18:45but unfortunately,
18:45I don't really like,
18:46know the meanings perfectly,
18:48but,
18:49that's something that,
18:50everyone should try to do,
18:51try to,
18:52understand what you're,
18:53what you're saying in the prayer,
18:55you can't just be praying,
18:56and then not knowing what you're saying,
18:57that means that you're not,
18:58you're not really focused on the prayer,
19:00and most of the time,
19:01when you don't know what you're saying,
19:01yeah,
19:02you're not going to be focused on the prayer anyway,
19:03so,
19:04know what you're saying,
19:05and,
19:07yeah,
19:07I can make another video,
19:08on how to focus in prayer,
19:10if you guys want,
19:11but,
19:13those are the six things,
19:15honestly,
19:16Fajr is a blessing,
19:17it's a fresh start,
19:18it's full of barakah,
19:19it's full of blessings,
19:20and everything,
19:21and it puts you,
19:22under Allah's protection,
19:23if you struggle with it,
19:25if you do struggle with it,
19:26don't stress,
19:27just start taking small steps,
19:28and just work,
19:30your way up every time,
19:31and trust me,
19:32the more you do it,
19:32the easier it gets,
19:34so,
19:34if this video helped you,
19:35make sure you comment,
19:36you like the video,
19:37you subscribe,
19:38share the video,
19:39share it with someone,

19:46see you in the next one,
