00:00I know Mel ruffled some feathers amongst the group of ladies pretty early on before you

00:09Yeah, that was hard.

00:10It was a comment that really hit, I don't think, did very well and I felt very unsettled

00:16by it because I was unsure that really were those real true views.

00:22So he did come in and he did immediately address it.

00:25He came into the mansion and he just started, I apologize.

00:31I shouldn't, you know, it's not how I felt.

00:33I was in the moment and we all sat there and we realized, well, that's what you have to

00:37do if you misspeak, which we all do.

00:39We all make mistakes, but you have to live, you have to own it and you have to address

00:43it and then you have to go on.

00:44And we have really gone on, the first night it was done and no one even mentions it anymore.

00:50We're done with it.

00:51But good for Mel that he addressed it because I think that's really what he had to do and

00:55I feel much better about it.

00:56You know, looking back, it's been a few days now.

00:58What was your first impression of Mel?

01:01It was great.

01:02He was very handsome, had a nice presence, but I was a little concerned because of some

01:10podcast comments.

01:12Did he clarify those at all and kind of make it up to you in any way?

01:17Especially when I asked him about it on our limo thing.

01:21And I had a little spiel and I was all ready with it.

01:24And as soon as I mentioned it, immediately he's like, I am so sorry, Diane.

01:27He goes, that was not the right thing.

01:29You know, he just sincere and I was kind of like, whoa, yeah, because I had a little more

01:34to say.

01:35And he was so kind about it.

01:38And then he said, will you ladies forgive me?

01:40Yeah.

01:41That's so sweet.

01:42So now you feel better about the situation?

01:43Yes.

01:44Yes.

01:45It was something that was addressed between Mel and the women on night one.

01:48And I think the women were really appreciative that Mel took that opportunity to get out ahead

01:52of it when he did in front of them and also to own it.

01:57I think that's something that really stood out to the women.

01:58It was important that he do that.
