00:00Well the I feel like the average that I get is about like 12 to 1400 euros per
00:10trip which is incredible I'm like what job in New Zealand could you because
00:17that's the equivalent of like there's the equivalent of almost $3,000 in New
00:22Zealand for three days work and you cannot earn that kind of money in New
00:27Zealand so that's incredible so that would be the standard a good tip is a
00:32very good tip is like anything 1800 and above like one time I got a tip that was
00:372100 euros and that's just insane and then a bad tip I mean personally I don't
00:46really think that there's a bad tip because I think that I I don't like it
00:50when people work really hard for tips because I'm like if people are hiring you
00:54to do a job you should work your ass off like regardless not for some extra
01:00incentive so I think that anything that people leave is it's a bonus it's money
01:05that you weren't guaranteed I think we always had good tips honestly throughout
01:09the season off chart off below deck I had a guy that tipped us 700 euros he was
01:14terrible he actually came in the bridge and watched what I was eating he goes are
01:19you eating our food I go are you eating spaghetti I don't think so right you know
01:26what I mean I don't think you're eating spaghetti and meatballs right out there
01:29in yacht world and he was terrible he left a 700. Captain Carrie's tip was just 30
01:3630,000 though not this the last one that was a great tip right so 30,000 is a great tip
01:43bad tip would be 12 15 I think anything below 15 is bad what's funny is I know the
01:55tips a big deal and I mean it's why we're there to make money I still don't really
02:01know cuz I would just like look at the amount of money I had at the end of the
02:03charter season they're like it's this it's three grand it's five grand it's two
02:07grand I was like okay but the one that stands out as not so great was
02:13season two and I believe he came back in season four or five Timothy Sykes I
02:19think he wanted to create a moment so he presented the captain with a envelope of
02:26cash and then took some out or something which you know that's making it a point
02:33to like really make a scene about how you're not gonna tip us as much as you
02:39should so that that was that was that was a moment but he he vindicated himself
02:47when he came back seasons later and he did not do that and I'm sure that he
02:51tipped it very generously my level is set at my highest on below deck which is 40k
02:56and now listen I understand that's a pretty a good one but I'm still very
03:01happy with it so that was they're all between three and five days two and four
03:06days two and five so um I my minimum my happy tip is between is 25 up I would say
03:15um I work hard I expect I expect incredible service from myself and my team and with that
03:25I expect a nice tip and that's what it looks like let's get it straight that I love my job
03:30so much that I would do this even if the tip was horrific for a little bit and I think that
03:39anything below doesn't reflect on us it reflects on the size of our charter groups pockets if we've
03:45done terribly we need to take responsibility for that and we can look at the tip again there
03:49um yeah 25 and above is good I think people get confused because this is a tv show there are
03:56discounted rates but there is a minimum tip which is the equivalent of the I don't know service industry
04:0220 which they need to cover and it's a and then they can go above or they can just hit that and
04:09they can't go lower than that that makes it a bit more easy to understand
