00:00My name is Dipanshu Manchanda. I started Zapfresh in 2015. Prior to this, I worked with startups.
00:07My last time was with Mobyquick where I was heading the strategic partnerships and alliances.
00:13During that time, I stumbled onto the category while talking to the founder of Blinkit.
00:20We were through just a normal conversation trying to understand what was happening in the grocery space.
00:26Meat as a category was something which they were facing a lot of challenges with.
00:31As a customer myself, I got more curious on what's happening here
00:36and found out that there are many issues when it comes to standardizing the entire supply chain and customer experience.
00:44That was the germination of the idea of how we can piece by piece build the category
00:50right from accessing fresh quality produce to buying, procurement, the entire logistics of it.
00:58The initial days, we built the supply chain in a very robust direct-to-farm format
01:05where we are partnering with farmers and taking the produce directly to the toe step.
01:11There are in-between processors who we use to get the job work done.
01:17And this is a pure fresh chilled produce, has a shelf life of about three days.
01:22And we did in poultry, goat meat, fish and seafood.
