The upright front end gives the new BMW iX3 a strong presence. Large air intakes and a black band in the lower section of the front apron emphasize the robust sportiness of the BMW X model. Furthermore, the reduced surface design focuses attention on the unmistakable design features of the BMW kidney grille and dual headlights. Instead of chrome, a completely new horizontal light signature creates a high-quality appearance at the front of the vehicle. The redesigned BMW brand emblem is embedded above the BMW kidney grille in the "valley" of the hood. The sculpturally shaped BMW kidney grille is vertically aligned, reminiscent of the New Class of the 1960s, its contours further emphasized by being embedded in the surface of the front apron. The BMW-typical four-eye face of the headlights has also been reinterpreted. Vertical, slightly outward-facing daytime running light elements with indicator function create the characteristic focused view of the road. Additional horizontal illuminated surfaces with a characteristic depth effect, each extending to the BMW kidney grille, complete the new light signature. In conjunction with the BMW kidney grille with Iconic Glow, they enable an exclusive lighting effect at the front of the new BMW iX3.
