00:00What's the laziest way to make money with AI in 2025, as a beginner?
00:04As someone who's made millions with AI products in my company Martell Ventures,
00:09I'm gonna share with you the five ways I would make money with AI if I was starting from zero.
00:14I'll even teach you how to find and sell it to customers,
00:17and show you the cost, effort, and potential for each one.
00:20Now I'm not talking about a get-rich-quick scheme,
00:23these are real money-making ideas where AI does most of the work for you.
00:26So let's get into it.
00:27Starting with number five, AI thumbnail design.
00:31You can get paid to design those thumbnails that you see on YouTube
00:35that you have to click to watch the video.
00:37It's designing high-converting YouTube thumbnails,
00:40using AI products like MidJourney, Photoshop, and Canva AI.
00:44Here's the problem.
00:44Most people think that it's just like vibe designing,
00:47where you're just like, I'm really good at prompts,
00:48and I just chat-chat, and it creates images.
00:50That's not what I'm talking about.
00:51The cool part is the cost is low to get into it.
00:55The effort is medium.
00:56It's not that hard.
00:58And the potential is actually pretty high right now,
01:00with the rise of personal brands.
01:02On the low end, you can make 50 bucks a day,
01:04doing like five thumbnails for 10 bucks.
01:06But on the high end, and this is what we invest in,
01:09is 200 to 400 a day,
01:11where we're paying for four to eight high-quality thumbnails
01:13at 50 bucks each.
01:14And you might think to yourself,
01:16who would pay for this?
01:17And I'll be honest with you,
01:18I didn't even know this was a thing.
01:19I was visiting my buddy Sean at Space Station.
01:22I remember walking down the hallway,
01:23and he introduces me to a guy that's in a room,
01:26and he says, that's our thumbnail designer.
01:28He had two monitors, testing different things,
01:31and iterations, and he worked on five different channels.
01:33And it made me realize that the pros
01:35that actually make money with YouTube will pay for this,
01:38and that's why you gotta get good at it.
01:39So this is how you learn thumbnail design
01:41to get paid the big bucks.
01:42Number one, you have to analyze
01:44dozens of viral thumbnails in your niche.
01:46There's tools like One of Ten and ViewStats
01:48that will help you find those different sites
01:50and study exactly what they're doing today,
01:53because it will change, to stand out on YouTube.
01:56Number two is create a portfolio of thumbnails.
01:58Literally collect your favorite thumbnails
02:01to build a body of work that you can use
02:04as reference material when you're designing your own.
02:06Number three is model best performers.
02:08This might make a lot of sense,
02:09but the truth is, is using ChatGPT,
02:11you can upload the portfolio of thumbnails that you found,
02:14and then use that as the base foundation
02:16to design new and better ones.
02:18Now, you're probably thinking to yourself,
02:19well, this sounds great, but how do I find customers?
02:22Let me teach you my audit-to-deal process.
02:25It's how all my agency friends sell what they do easily.
02:29Number one is to pick a niche.
02:30I don't care if it's automotive, personal development,
02:33doctors, running, the riches are in the niches.
02:37So pick an industry that you personally love
02:39that you would love to create thumbnails for.
02:41Number two is scrape the leads.
02:43Build a targeted list of potential buyers.
02:46And I'm talking, go on LinkedIn, go do your research,
02:49and just build a massive spreadsheet.
02:51I call this mapping the universe for your market.
02:54Number three, run an audit.
02:55So if you're doing AI thumbnails,
02:57go to their YouTube channel,
02:58run through the whole video catalog,
03:00give them suggestions on how you make it better,
03:03record yourself doing a quick loom video, 60 seconds or less.
03:06And then if you can, add some examples
03:08of what you would do if you worked with them,
03:10add value to their life
03:11before you ever ask them for a dollar.
03:12Number four is offer service.
03:14So this is a quick, fast action bonus,
03:17some kind of guarantee to reduce the risk,
03:19to get your foot in the door.
03:21Something very simple, not expensive.
03:23They can make a decision.
03:24They might get the email from you with the video
03:25and reply and say, sounds like a deal.
03:27Take the payment.
03:28Trust me, get on the call.
03:30After they've paid, now once you do some great work,
03:32you can offer them stuff
03:33that might keep you around longer.
03:35Which brings us to number four, AI blog generation.
03:38Essentially, you create content
03:40that's highly specific for your customer
03:43that gets them awareness in their market.
03:46So top of funnel, mid funnel, and bottom of the funnel.
03:48Every piece of content serves a different purpose
03:50and that's what makes it different.
03:52Even going as far,
03:53and this is where you get paid the big bucks
03:55I'll share in a second,
03:55is to make it work for AI.
03:58So now, with the search being the new chat prompt,
04:00companies want to rank inside the AI language model
04:03so that their business is recommended
04:05when people ask questions of the universe
04:07for how they should solve their problems.
04:09The cost to get started is very low.
04:11There's no tools involved.
04:12You just start using the free tools.
04:14The effort is low.
04:15You literally just start asking the AI
04:17what you should do to work with these customers.
04:19It'll tell you.
04:20The potential is medium.
04:22And the reason why is because blogs long-term
04:24with AI getting so good at this,
04:26it just may not be as relevant as it is today.
04:29Because you could create five really good blogs per day
04:32at about 10 bucks a piece
04:33for some of these larger SEO farms out there.
04:36On the high end,
04:37you could be making 200 to 500 a day.
04:39Because if you get good on this on the high end,
04:41you can get paid to help people rank
04:43in some of these new AI language models
04:45or get paid through affiliate revenue
04:46by creating content with links to products
04:48you get paid when people buy.
04:49One of my clients, Timmer,
04:51is actually using AI to create SEO blog posts
04:54from podcast episodes for clients.
04:56And he makes over 100,000 a month doing this.
04:58This is why I think AI can support
05:00but not replace the human process.
05:02Because the most powerful stories
05:04still come from the human experience.
05:06AI just helps us tell them better.
05:08So this is how you get started.
05:09Number one, model, then modify.
05:12And what you wanna do is you wanna find
05:13the top 10 blogs in every niche
05:15using tools like SEMrush or Ubersuggest
05:18so that you can see where their outliers sit
05:20to find the patterns.
05:22Number two is to actually use ChadGPT
05:24or some other AI to create a portfolio
05:27of writing samples using the best blogs as inspiration.
05:31Don't copy, but use it to train exactly
05:33what you want the outputs to look like
05:35so it's gonna work for you.
05:36Number three is you gotta rank in search.
05:39So that's why there's these tools like Rank.ai
05:41to help your blog posts rank not only in Google
05:43but also in the large language models like ChadGPT.
05:46And I know, this sounds really simple.
05:48The challenge you're thinking is,
05:50well, where do I find a customer
05:51gonna pay me the money to do their SEO?
05:53Run the audit to deal process.
05:54It's the same thing.
05:56It's so simple, so powerful
05:58that if you just do a little bit of work up front,
06:00show the buyer that you know what you're doing
06:02and make it really easy for them to buy from you,
06:04they will.
06:05Which brings us to number three,
06:06the faceless YouTube channel.
06:10This one's wild because I was like,
06:11I don't think AI can really replace somebody like me.
06:15It turns out that I've been consuming
06:18AI-generated YouTube content for years.
06:21I didn't even know.
06:22They're those YouTube channels that you've seen
06:24where there's a person talking
06:26and there's a bunch of B-roll explaining the concept
06:28but there's nobody on screen
06:30and they get hundreds of thousands of views.
06:33If you understood the CPMs,
06:34those people are making 50, 60, $70,000 a month
06:38off of YouTube ads.
06:40Now, the cost to start on that one is medium
06:42because there's more tools to get started.
06:44You need some of the editing software.
06:45The effort is medium
06:46because there's some skills you gotta develop,
06:48storytelling and the narrative arc
06:50and how to create good hooks and clips and packaging.
06:53And the potential is high
06:54because what I love about it
06:55is it allows you to build and keep stacking income
06:58because the more it grows, the more you'll make.
07:01So, on the low end,
07:02yes, small channels might only make $10 to $50 a day
07:06and there's a lot of effort up front
07:07to build to that first 10,000 subs
07:10but on the high end,
07:11you could be making $500 a day or more,
07:14monetized not only through the YouTube ad network
07:16but also affiliate links.
07:18Here's how we get started.
07:19Number one, pick a niche.
07:21I'm thinking categories that I know I can sell
07:24either affiliates, brand deals
07:25or get paid top CPMs, cost per thousand
07:29based on what people are paying today
07:30for other YouTube videos with that kind of content.
07:32The second is create your scripts.
07:34And again, this is where we wanna use tools
07:36like ChadGPT to outline them
07:38and to really find our narrative style.
07:41See, what you wanna figure out
07:43is what's your signature video type
07:45and it all comes from the script.
07:47It's the language you use.
07:48It's the cadence.
07:49It's the way you open up.
07:50How do you explore it?
07:52Try to find a unique voice
07:53for you to create your faceless YouTube videos.
07:56Number three, build your avatar.
07:57And again, it could be faceless
07:59where there's no person
07:59or you can use Synthesia or 11 Labs
08:02to generate a virtual AI avatar of you talking
08:05so that it reads the scripts
08:07but you're never on camera.
08:08Number four is post and iterate.
08:10See, most people talk about 10,000 hours
08:12and you get really good at something.
08:13It's not 10,000 repetition.
08:16It's 10,000 iterations.
08:17Meaning every time you post a new video,
08:20try to make it 1% better.
08:21Which brings us to number two, AI website building.
08:25When a business starts, they need a website.
08:27And there's 22 million small businesses in North America.
08:30And in the past, they're used to paying
08:32five, 10, $25,000 for a website
08:35that you can use AI to build it.
08:37There's literally these new no-code building tools
08:39and you use AI to generate not only the imagery,
08:42the copy, but the whole code structure.
08:44And you can still charge a lot of money
08:46if you're good at what you're doing.
08:48And you can use these tools
08:49that we're gonna talk about later
08:50to have businesses pay you top dollar
08:52because they understand a website is that important.
08:54The cool part is the cost is low
08:56because there's not a lot of software you gotta pay for
08:58or people you gotta hire.
08:59The effort is medium
09:00because there's some technical skills
09:02you may need to learn like hosting.
09:04And then the potential though is massively high
09:06because if you perfect that one offer,
09:08you can scale it because think about every new business
09:11that needs a website every day.
09:12On the low end, you might only make 100 bucks a day
09:14and that might be like generating one new website a day.
09:17But honestly, that's for very small businesses.
09:19On the high end, you could be making 500 to $1,000 a day
09:23because you have multiple clients
09:24and you're upselling them, check this out,
09:27AI SEO and hosting and AI automations
09:30because you have the relationship with the customer.
09:32And it's kind of scary how many of these design agencies
09:35are going to lose all their work
09:37to some 17-year-old kid doing it with AI.
09:39The most valuable real estate in 2025 isn't on earth.
09:43It's on the internet and it's gonna be built with AI.
09:46So here's how we get started.
09:47Number one, you gotta pick a no-code builder
09:49and get really good at it.
09:50I like Framer AI, Bolt or Reloom
09:52for people just getting started.
09:53Number two is you wanna generate the custom copy
09:56with ChatGPT and then visualize the copy with MidJourney.
10:00And the last one is build two to three example websites
10:03to show buyers your skill.
10:05Like actually build stuff maybe for your parents
10:07or for yourself that you think is a cool idea
10:08that demonstrates the quality of your work.
10:11Now, I know you're probably asking yourself like,
10:12how do I sell this thing?
10:14Run the audit to deal process.
10:16Which brings us to number one, AI automation agency,
10:20which is like the hotness.
10:22Now, the cost is medium because maybe for some projects,
10:26you're gonna need some software
10:27and pay for pro versions of it.
10:28And the effort is medium because there's a learning curve
10:31if you're new to this, but the cool part is,
10:33is I taught it to my 12-year-old son.
10:35Like anybody can learn this
10:36if they're willing to just put their head down,
10:38search and consume that information
10:40instead of drowning themselves
10:42in personal development podcasts.
10:43Like it's time to go learn.
10:45And the potential is high
10:47because you will be at the forefront
10:49of artificial intelligence.
10:51You'll be helping businesses reduce the complexity
10:54in their business and you will find new opportunities
10:57because you're sitting in those companies.
10:59On the low end, you can be making 200 bucks a day.
11:02That only takes one or two small clients
11:04that you automate their workflows every week.
11:06You just work on it.
11:07On the high end though,
11:08you can be making 1,000 to 2,500 a day
11:11because that's where you're integrating
11:13their current tool sets with other software integrations.
11:16You're helping them with lead generation.
11:18You're figuring out how to improve the backend workflow
11:20so they can increase their capacity
11:22to work with more customers.
11:23So the problem you're solving
11:25is for bigger customers that have more money,
11:27which means they'll pay you
11:28because the problems you solve makes them more money.
11:31Here's my rule.
11:32Every person on my team
11:33has to understand how to do this anyway.
11:36Even my head of finance sat down for three weeks
11:38and built a complete end-to-end process
11:40to automate all the bookkeeping.
11:42This person loves spreadsheets,
11:44didn't know anything about AI.
11:46Automation isn't about replacing people.
11:48It's about freeing them to focus on what matters most,
11:50about being creative, focusing on results,
11:54really figuring out what part's gonna move the needle
11:56and anything that's just processing information
11:59or moving things forward can be done by a computer.
12:02So here's how we get started.
12:03Number one, create a course of action.
12:05Just ask ChadGPT,
12:07if I wanted to start an automation agency,
12:09what are the top 10 steps I should do?
12:10Be detailed, be very concise, and it will tell you.
12:14Number two is master one automation use case.
12:17See, most people that get into this
12:18start thinking about like,
12:20oh, the freaking things they could do with AI,
12:22and you could,
12:22but then you're not really going deep on anything.
12:24I'm talking about like cold outreach,
12:27team training, building bots,
12:28onboarding automation,
12:30like pick one specific area and go deep
12:33because specialists get paid.
12:35The third, join a community.
12:37You wanna be around other people doing the thing
12:39so you can learn faster.
12:40I like Dave Ebelar.
12:42If you're more technical
12:43and you wanna build like agentic systems,
12:45if you wanna learn like content and automation,
12:47go follow Stephen Pope and join their communities.
12:50Now I understand,
12:51this one's a little harder to run the audit to deal process
12:53because we're talking about internal workflows,
12:56but what you do instead
12:56is you just reach out to customers and say,
12:58hey, I'm new.
12:59I'm looking to build some case studies.
13:01I will go fix this problem for you for free.
13:03It costs you nothing.
13:04All I ask is that if I over deliver on what I promised,
13:07that you allow me to use this project as a case study
13:10so I can share it with other customers going forward.
13:12That's the win-win.
13:13They get free problem solved.
13:15You get a case study.
13:16You do five to 10 of those.
13:17Trust me, they'll wanna keep you around if you're good,
13:19and they'll refer you to people they know.
