00:01I saw my light flash before my eyes.

00:05It was just me, standing on top of the capsule,

00:09looking down at the water.

00:12I wrote a note to the kids, telling them how much I loved them.

00:18And then I prepared to jump.

00:23Richard Branson's made a career out of breaking tradition

00:25and has a flair for self-promotion.

00:27Virgin were getting big and bigger.

00:29I knew that I just had to use myself to get Virgin on the front pages

00:32rather than a little anecdote on the back pages.

00:35I saw this incredible challenge

00:37to be the first people to cross the Atlantic in a hot air balloon.

00:40The prize was fabulous.
